I work at a beauty store that sells morphe and a lot of young kids buy the James Charles palette and I think it’s just sad because it makes me realize how young many of his fans are.

My sister had a similar situation where a predator did this to her over Snapchat. The police and private detectives were able to go through the snapchat history and find everything. It is possible and SHOULD BE DONE! Gross, the entire situation.

Honestly it's not that simple. Snapchat is a private company and they need to cooperate and all the police/FBI to go through their records. There have been several cases where Snapchat denied access in crime cases, or they took way too long to give access so by the time they got it, records were gone. Snapchat is the problem. It goes against their business interests to help the police, cause then people wouldn't use the app as often.
That happened to me and my fam shamed me for it for years. Its pretty hard to come out as a minor and say something like that is happening to you. The police can definitely get the history, but most predators will never see a charge or day in jail.

This always happens to victims, they’re afraid of speaking out because they won’t be believed, and end up being harassed. Even with hard evidence there will always be someone doubting it’s credibility. It’s so much sadder when they’re kids being exploited, probably won’t even tell their parents. Just hope they speak to a therapist or similar when they can.
Exactly or are afraid of getting in trouble with their parents. I remember how small my world was as a young teenager and the thought of my parents discovering me doing something sex-related that I wasn't supposed to be doing would've been mortifying. When I was 16 a 25 year old man convinced me to send him pictures. These pictures were then forwarded to other men. When I found out I felt humiliated because the pictures were shared, but then when I got older I felt humiliated and stupid because I was manipulated into doing that. Even today if I think about it I want to cry and shout, but unfortunately I can't do anything about it. I hate James Charles for putting kids through similar things and getting away with it

I remember a girl called Amanda Todd whose video that she filmed before committing suicide went viral on the internet. The same thing had happened to her and stuff got leaked all over the internet. Watching that video and her story taught me not to talk to strangers on the internet.

Nearly every single text or snap James sent sounded like every male that “talked” to me when I was 14-18. I was dumb so some of these were over 21. I just hope that the amount we talk about how wrong this is on social media is making a positive effect. At the very least prevents other kids from being manipulated and used.
