- So now that its been 3 months since the release of the Galaxy S22, I wanted to show you guys how it compares to the Galaxy S21 FE and see which one is actually worth the price. The Galaxy S21 FE is a very underrated phone and can go toe to toe with the galaxy S22 but were gonna see who comes out on top. I have a71 5g t-mobile android 12 4.1 ui I like it I get tired of buying phones I had s21 fe but it got hot one day almost bricked I took back got a71 5g not as powerful as 888 but overall performance a71 5g punches well above its weight. Without a doubt pretty much has everything both the phone u review have . Buy ur opinion does help thought bout pixel 6 . 27 bucks a month JOD. Latest and greatest isn't everything performance is I've never seen any lag on a71 5g truth

watching on my s21fe.. turned my phone to natural mode in display settings.
well in display department, in he basket ball video while showing display comparison, What i noticed is that the people sitting in the lakers arena audience were quite dark and not very much visible as compared to s21 fe. Maybe its different gamma settings for both the phones but it still looks like s21fe is more on natural side and s22 display looks more vibrant and contrasty.
Thanks for this. I know s23 series already out, but I want to save my budget. So I decided to buy s22, but when I was going to purchase it, S21 FE distracting me. Now I'm confused which one to buy. But after watching this video, I think it's pretty clear now which one I'm going to buy.

Great! I've been watching this review for galaxy S21 FE couple of times and now I'm watching it with my new Galaxy S21 FE 🤩
The S21 FE really does have a gorgeous display, Samsung really gets their displays right, much more than other phone makers today. Even the A53 (a mid-tier "value" phone) has a fantastic Super-AMOLED with 1080p, Samsung makes sure that none of their users feel like what they're seeing from their phone is inferior to other phones in the Galaxy series. I will say, though, that coming from the S10e (which had I believe a 5.8 inch display), the S21 FE definitely feels a bit too big to use comfortably in some "long term" situations, like watching a show in bed, or holding the phone for a long period of time while commenting on social media. The weight and the length of the phone in particular feels a bit too much to handle even for a taller guy like me.
In the mid-2010s, these would have been labeled "phablets" (hybrid of phone and tablet) and been marketed separately from "regular" smartphones. Seems like we all have to use tablet hybrids now lol. I would like to see a better effort to release phones with under 6 inch screens for people with smaller hands (or who want a better one-hand experience with the phone). That all said, I absolutely love my FE, super fast and everything runs like you would want it too. A fantastic, seamless experience.

I've chosen s21 fe over s22 because it has bigger battery,screen,price (got it for 330 $ on my mobile carrier with discounts and fidelity bonus and i updated my data plan to an 5g one)and more important i've always prefered the snapdragon chip over the exynos one(in my country,the s22 lineup comes with an exynos chip).Maybe that's why s22 became so buggy after one point.I'm super happy and super satisfied to have this phone for this price.

Cracked the screen on my a71, got the s21 FE. Very happy to have fingerprint scan, wireless charging, and water proofing. The 5g when available is sweet too. The price was great too.

Where I live you can change your settings in your phone to drop the 5g down for many who worry about the Gz. I've tried it and as long as your not on a call you can change from 2 2 3 and 4 lte and the 5g This is a +point for the FE I'm not sure about other phones. I only got this after my S9 was stolen 😪 I loved that phone. I also had it locked. Makes ya wonder who got my ph

I subscribed after this review. It was great. Exactly what I needed. None of the other reviews for these phones on CZcams hit like this one. I was considering upgrading my S21 FE for an S22 as it will cost me nothing but after this I'm gonna stick to my S21 FE

As a value proposition the S21 FE wins hands down. I picked up a new factory unlocked 8 256 model from Amazon for $670 for my son. Great phone. Wish I would have bought myself one instead of my Pixel 6.

@@0xbad The display and the 888 processor. The one thing to keep in mind about the Samsung is software updates. They are not exactly monthly and seem to always be the previous patch when compared to the Pixel. I have a Pixel 6. The S21FE I bought was for my son.
@@Nico-- The Pixel definitely take better pictures. So if the camera is the most important thing go with the Pixel. For me the display and the chip are more important. Still can't get my son to trade me his FE for my Pixel 6 though.

I have the exynos s21fe and the throttling issue is just bogus. The heating issue might be more noticeable because of the plastic back compared to glass on competitors. The temp goes around 40-43°C max,which has become a norm with other android phones , the competitor SD888 also had serious heating isssue only thing it differed was its performance stability even with heating. Heck, even a PC/laptops heats up with that amount room and cooling systems ,so we might just consider android phones as their computing chips has reached a plateau at this point and heating is bound to happen with that compact form(apple is killing it in heating and performance stability control🦾). Do you think maybe phones should now start focusing more on software/optimization rather than the highest end hardware/chip as a chip from even 2 years back can almost do most task of current one's.

I was thinking of buying it today but i'm afraid the build quality wont be as good as S21, they even used a cheaper haptics motor.
people just think of plastic back is much inferior but it is not ecactly right. At least battery life much better.
@@siuchiwings the phone itself feels cheaper for the price tag, its not just about the glass back. Go to a samsung store compare it with a S22, you'll se what i mean.

Thanks for letting me get a good look at both. In my area, the S22 is available onlile at the same price of the S21 fe snapdragon version, so I am going with the much stable 888 variant of S21 fe. I heard that the 8 gen 1 chip has overheating issues, you just confirmed it.

I bought the S21 FE last May and felt that the overheating issue is disturbing. So far I had 4 updates and the recent being 27 July 2022. Overtime, the overheating problem has improved and hope it will no longer cut off during videocalls due to overheating.

One of the best reviews...would like to see the S22+ but presume similar to standard S22 in general performance. Currently on an S10+ which is a great phone - so was in two minds between the S21 FE, S22+ and even the iPhone 14plus....seems the s21 FE is the best of the three. This review was good in highlighting specific pros and cons not seen in many other reviews. Finally deciding to go for the S21 FE 5g 👍
Bought unlocked from Best buy 3weeks ago unlocked for wife with tax $529. Think good deal compared to price of many midrange phone's costing $3-$400 and change. Did have to use battery saver and couple tweeks to keep her from complaining bout battery drain though. Works well now!

My gf took the S21 FE, is absolutely happy with it and also got the galaxy buds 2 in the package. The S21 FE has a Snapdragen 888 CPU and the S22 is only available as Exynos version in our country. She's absolutely satisfied with her decision. She doesn't have performance or heat issues. The cam is really great. Nothing to complain about. I really can confirm the results in your video. At the moment I'm trying to decide between the S22 and the S21 FE. Based on a 24 month Fido (Canada) payment program, the S22 would cost me an extra $5 per month as compared to the S21 FE. Both phones have 128 GB of storage. Do you think the 8GB of RAM on the S22 is much of a deciding factor when you compare it to the the 6GB of RAM on the S21 FE? Thanks, Richard

I was using the S21 FE and then upgraded to the S23 Ultra. I then returned it and went back to the FE. The Ultra is nice, but the main drawbacks were weight, as this sucker is massive heavy, and screen size. It really is close to trying to carry a tablet. The battery is just as good as the FE. I just decided I liked the smaller size phone and I can put it in my pocket without it pulling my shorts off. Yes... I was coming out of Aldi with bags of groceries and the weight of the Ultra pulled my shorts down. So it was returned to it's creator! I'm happy with the FE speeds and battery life. With power saving mode on I get about 2 days with moderate usage. And I love using DEX to mirror to the computer!
Dude, are you kidding? The S23 Ultra is the best phone in the market right now! As much as I love S21 FE it has absolutely nothing on the S23 Ultra!! If you honestly cared so much about the size then you should have just got the base S23 or the S23+. S21 FE's battery certainly is not as good as the S23 Ultra and the phone heats up a bit too much coz of Samsung's chipset fabrication! But if you're happy.... Then I guess I can't say much.

Both of these phones are great phones just get the one that you want. This is a good review but like most reviewers you know they pick these little things that are so incidental apart you know to say there's a camera on this one's better than the camera on that one in the dynamic range is better than the dynamic range on the other they're in perceivable to most people get the one that you can afford and be done with it and be happy they're both great phones. These verses videos you know one phone after another phone against another phone against iPhone against Samsung against pixel is ridiculous sometimes

definitely s21 fe should be bought. It is much better when we compair with price. Don't need to give that much money to have this small changes. Also i liked s21 fe camera more. Only thing i liked s22 is design and screen looks a little bit more contrast but bigger screen is always better for my opinion.

Thanks, this comparison was very useful! I had the chance to test both in a store and the S22 seemed slower than the S21 FE. Don't know whether it was the Exynos processor's fault. Currently debating between the S21 FE and the Pixel 7 but I'm really afraid of the fingerprint on the Pixel being trash and not having to put a case on the back is definitely a plus.
I just got a pixel 7 pro over the s21 fe, and the front camera is terrible. My front camera on lg g8 thinq is better than the pixel. I think I'm going to return it and get s21 fe
@dinadorfman8036 I ended up not taking a risk and got the S21 FE. So far, I've been very happy with my choice. The cameras deliver better pictures than my old iPhone 11, the speaker is loud and clear and the fingerprint sensor works all the time even with a glass screen protector. I even already got the Android 13 update. Only wish standby battery was better but in actual use, I can still get 4-5 hours a day.

Brother, few important mentions.
- The screen difference is glaring in your side by side. S22 is far superior in terms of color, contrast and quality (DO NOT compare screens with ambiental light on)
- In games: you do understand how form factor works, right? S22 is exponentially smaller than the S21 FE thus making it more prone to overheating due to its compact form. You can't just say "for whatever reason". No, the reason is the fact that it's way smaller. How is this difficult to understand?
- S21 Fe battery will last you longer; of course it will. It's a 4500mAh battery vs 3700. And the S21 FE screen is of lower quality and brightness. You're just reading a spec-sheet at this point. You're missing the point of the S22. It's a smaller form factor phone with higher end features and build quality.
- Regarding speakers: you really have to get your ears checked. The S22 kicks Iphone 12 max pro's ass which was touted as one of the best sounding smartphones in recent years. You can't possibly be serious about a budget Samsung phone being better than that. Also, it's about the sound quality, not volume nor any other frequence being thrown at you, like bass, mids or highs.
- regarding the camera im not even gonna talk about it. i'd be wasting my breath.

I'm not a Samsung user, but my wife is. She has an S10e and really likes the small form factor, but it is time for her to upgrade, and it's the smaller size of the S22 that she really likes, and with 4 years of software upgrades, that is the one she will get.

Honestly depends on what Promotion Carrier has. I was able to get $400 Trade in Value for my Samsung S10 for Galaxy S21 FE so my cost ends up being $200.00 the S22 or the S23 Now would not provide that much trade in.
don't you think the s21 fe display has less color saturation than the s22 ?
i have both s10e and s21 fe. and after comparing it side by side i noticed that my s10e has much brighter white and more vibrant color overall

yup only issue i face with s22 is heating some times with minimal use its because of snapdragon 8 gen 1 and where i live is not even hot 20-28c but it never lags or stutter and its very rare occasions when it happens
i have seen my friends iphone 12 pro gets hot too as if you have a small phone it is gonna happen sometimes when weather and humidity is high plus mine phone color is black so chances high for it
also i have used tempered glass for front and back with a case so it might be also another reason
for some more heating sometimes
i upgraded from s8 difference is huge and i am no longer fan of ios so there was no other option but yeah
pro's great camera ,speakers are loud and yeah just i find a little bass missing as how much loud they are but clarity is there with good bass
design is so perfect it might be the best 6.1 inch looking phone out there i spent 900$ for this phone and
i got accessories like galaxy buds 2 , Samsung 25w charger and new 15w wireless charger all worth 220$ for free so not bad deal and apple was offering nothing for the same price with less features

@@1PX s22 camera is little polished and if you dont want a compact phone and s21 plus is a snapdragon ,price difference is huge then you can go for it but keep in mind s22 will get 1 more year software and security support

battery life for s22 is 5-6 hours sot another thing to be mentioned full charge in 1 hour with 25 w charger

Thank You you have made my choice up on returning the S22, the Battery is just not good, heats up more then the S21FE, the light from the screen is messing with my eyes, had eye surgery and it not helping. You might as well call this a S22 as well they both are strong from what i see, have the same number of updates, this oen si cheaper, think tomorrow i am returning my S22 for the S21FE, you made my mind up ty.

I had this phone the S21 Fan base phone I love it I had it 24 hours now This phone I 100% it feels in my hands I like the pictures that I took it's brighter

Last fall I was selling an A53 and someone offered me a Galaxy S22 in exchange. I asked the person why he'd change a flagship for a cheaper phone, He said, he needed a phone with better battery life, so I think the S21 FE is manageable with charging it once a day. One of my family members here has the S21 FE and it performs well, battery lasts about a day n a half.

In Ukraine, the price tag for this phone has risen very much due to the rise in the price of the dollar, and I decided to go to Poland soon and buy s21 fe already there, since when leaving the EU, you can take back 19% of the goods. This way I will buy a top phone at its old price and save money. You helped me finally make sure that s22 is not needed at all and is too expensive.

Hi there, phone prices are quite high in my country. Let me first say that 1 USD = 24.50 TL. Now the prices were: S21FE=15000 TL and S22=19000TL. And besides the S21FE, Samsung Buds 2 was given as a gift, the price of which is 15000 TL. Actually, I would have preferred the S22 using snapdragon gen 1, but the price factored into my choice. I think the price performance ratio is effective. Also, we are now in 2023 and there is only 1 year difference between both phones. This will not have a huge impact when receiving updates. The S22 comes with a lower battery, more powerful camera and processor. But, I preferred the big screen and big battery. Camera is better then my old phone M31. I must also say that I am surprised that both phones do not have a macro lens.
Ordered the s22 but after waiting 2 month, I took the s21 fe 256gb 8gb Version for 549€🔥 it's better in all categories. only thing is, that I have to accustom with the size.. Came from a iPhone XS and love the FE.. Back to the roots 😜

i was thinking about buying a new phone on my birthday on january 1st 2023 and i was thinking between iphone 12,samsung s22,s21FE and the s21+ but im worried about the size of the s21+ the samsungs are 100$ cheaper any suggestions? (i have a samsung s7 edge)
