Oprah, after 12 years of self hating myself I was beyond the point of throwing in the towel. I had zero motivation, just layed in bed trying not to be alive. Except for my children I probably wouldn’t even still be here. Then about a month ago somebody believed in me (you) for that I’m eternally grateful. I got up started listening to CZcams Motivational speakers and I now have an entirely new thought process. I am worth something, I can achieve success, I will be loved again. Yesterday, after 12 years of being unemployed I went to The Milwaukee Brewers and applied for a job at an open interview. On my way there I thought I’d be lucky just to get a dishwasher job. I ended up with the most coveted job being offered-host of the suites. I’ll be taking care of the people in the suites during the game making sure they have everything they need. I just want to say that you did make a major difference in somebody’s life-mine! Thank you so much-Michael Maki

Sometimes I think, what’s the use? I’m too old to contribute anything. It’s all I can do to take care myself and my house. Then I remember the gifts along the way. ‘The children’; their growth, their accomplishments, their children. How we traveled together and grew because of each other. At the start I never saw the power in being a parent, I never realized how important my love was - love begets love! The heart of our mothers and fathers in self sacrificing is where our hearts belong. The universe is big but love is larger. I move slower today but if we cross paths I promise to care and share whatever I have to give - we are all family! Thank you Oprah for the stimulating speech! 🤗❤️

This is very inspirational. I also have a sixth sense that guides me. I've learned to use it too late. But I'm on the right path. If people don't get me, I leave them behind. I tried too hard and was hated. Now, I do not inflict myself on people. I'm fine alone. I have let go. I am learning to be calm. What you have gone through makes you more than just a survivor, it makes you a leader who can pass your wisdom to us all. I tried to give back and people thought that I was trying to buy their friendship. I don't buy presents, because I have been misunderstood. The thing is I loved to give people gifts, I stopped. I understand your message.

Oprah you truly are an inspiration to people from all walks of life!! I know you have struggled with many adversities in life. I often feel like my life is like one big adversity & screw up. I’ve dealt with rapes, suicide attempts, drug use, depression, anxiety, teenage pregnancy, high school drop out, death of My mom, bullying, bc I wasn’t like the other kids. I guess it all started when I was born a biracial baby and was placed for adoption. Then I often have to remind myself that I too, am a child of God & am blessed beyond measures! I was raised by 2 amazing parents that gave me the best that they could offer, I was able to get my GED & complete a university before I was 21, I have 2 amazing adult children that are truly Gods gifts! I have a roof over our heads & food to eat everyday, I have a professional job that I love & would do for free & I have a boyfriend for the first time in 10 yrs that truly loves me for me and not for what I could be. Yes there are things in my life that I deal with that aren’t ideal, but it’s up to me to stop dwelling on the things I can not change & focus on what I can. Today I am going thru something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. But I’m not gonna waste this precious day by sulking & making everyone else around me miserable. I will rise up & understand the lesson to be learned here & move on to better myself & help build others up. Thank you Oprah for your dedication to being the best version of you! This video was put in front of me for a purpose & that was to help me become the best version of me!

The only difference is that some people will risk everything and get out of their comfort zone, while others just won't.
I believe, the first thing is to be given an opportunity, and then, prove that you can continue in that role.
Hi Oprah. These words are buzzing inside me. I came across this video by chance. I've been feeling so angry,confused and very low. I've wanted to be a doctor but studied something opposite. Its a calling that has been following me for the longest time but I think I have avoided foolishly.Now having a baby with severe allergies,feeling her pain with the constant itching,not being able to eat everything,feeling helpless practically,has been like a hard bad knock to me. I am 32,unemployed, and honestly feeling like it's too late to start. I didn't do Biology in schooll and no money to study so I don't know really where I stand. But seeing this video has given me some glimmer of hope to try. I need to at least try,I know I owe it to myself. Or else I am going to spend the rest of my life regretting. I need help.

Listening to your feelings is so on point.In 2000 I had an interview to train for a certain post graduate course in nursing.Though the interview went so well, I remember so well not feeling happy about what I was to embark on. I was accepted on the course but encountered endless challenges resulting in not completing the course.
