I am the same age as Oprah (68) and fully understand that feeling of "age is just another trip around the sun". I am alive and looking out on the world just as I always have but my body changes in such a way that other people start to treat me differently. My wife passed away just 4 weeks ago which has caused a major T in my life and will take some time to assimilate. However, I know I now have a new path to follow and I know her soul will be watching over me. Thank you Oprah for keeping on, keeping on. You can never retire from your life's purpose

This was beautiful. I can relate to being seen at school or work. At home I was criticized and compared to my siblings a lot. I was also the oldest girl of two - but I felt as though we were treated different. My sister was loved softly and I was shown tough love and pushed into my masculine working energy and having to defend myself at such a young age. As I go into age 27, I've been reflecting on how to let that part of me go and appreciate how far I've come. I've had many mistakes, but I know that it was meant to happen and my value is determined by me & only me. My parents were fkd up & it's sad, but I can't hold on to those memories forever if I want to heal.
