2015 Honda Civic Si w/ Bolt Ons - One Take
Vložit
- čas přidán 28. 09. 2016
- The Honda Civic Si may be a bit down on power compared to its competition but it makes up for it with a lightweight chassis, excellent inputs and great naturally aspirated throttle response.
This one has been modified with basic consumer bolt-ons like intake, exhaust, downpipe, and throttle body with bigger injectors. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Haters gonna hate but who is hating when his car has 300,000 miles and runs new.
Honda's are great and all but if he drives it like a sports car its not going to make 300,000
I don't know about the 2015, but any late 90's to 2000 models can do 300k with ease
my 97 has 282k and runs like a new car and gets 35 mpg. its so funny how ignorant people laugh at Hondas.
my 02 just rolled over 200,000 k...i put in 23,000 k on since november-
and yes, it drives like new still. great damn car
when did he say it had 300,000 ?
If you say Hondas are shit you're not a real car guy. Car guys know how brilliant Honda is when it comes to engineering
How brilliant they were, they aren't what they used to be.
Real car guys appreciate all good cars, Hondas are great, engineering is 2nd to none, n have their pros n cons like all cars; this is coming from a bmw owner. You'll get that hate from fanboys that can't appreciate anything different than their own cars
I laugh every time I see one of these "real car guy" comments. Everyone can like and dislike the exact same car so nobody is wrong... that's what an opinion is. Some people just feel the need to jump straight to being negative with their comments. To all the people posting negative comments what do you gain other than boosting your pathetic self-esteem?
i agree, until you test drive the car and understand whats behind it, then you won't know.
i love my 94 camry cuz its smooth, comfortable, and fun to drive. ignore the haters
They are so brilliant that they haven't really increased in performance since 2002. The RSX-S is practically the same in every performance category. Meanwhile everyone else in it's class has boost.
I'm almost 43 and bought my 2015 Si sedan about a year and a half ago. To this day I am enamored with the car. It's quick enough, fun as hell to drive, and I can fit the wife and two kids in it with no problem. My 4 year old daughter loves the car too. She always tells me to "go fast!". Even being bone stock, (except for an upgraded rear sway bar) and the car sounds great inside when you get on it.
Troll post or Honda Marketing team right here.
A Honda is a nice car to get from A to B, but no one in their right mind would ever say a civic is better than an M235I.
Stefan B I’m Asian I Fucks with you.
Where did you get the rear seat bar?? And how ya like it??
@@fhash_4827 Noone cares about your shitty leased BMW
lol I know its 7 years later now, but what about an M235I compared to an FL%5 Type R? @@fhash_4827
I bought a 2013 Civic Si and I love it. Fun as hell, great MPG, and I really enjoy the interior. The shifter is brilliant, the engine sounds amazing at redline, and the steering and brakes are sharp. This car does everything I ask of it.
I drive a 98 Integra and it is an absolute blast to drive and it's not even the vtec engine. I beat the crap out of it every time I drive it and it has NEVER missed a beat, even now at 180,000 miles. And it's just amazing that I can push the engine so hard and still get 30 mpg (:
If you're on a low budget like me as a college student, Hondas are the way to go. No one else offers this much fun combined with reliability and low cost to run the way these amazing cars do. Don't let the haters keep you from picking up one of these.
Shane Saunders I second this
Those late 90s Tegs were outstanding examples of how good FWD can be.
That's why I miss my Honda, definately need to get my hands on an EF, do some bolt-ons for something like 110-120hp and then just beat it.
I drove my cousin's Integra and I wholeheartedly agree with the Integra being fun to drive. Even with non-Vtec it peels out with little effort and it feels so nimble. Never thought I would want to own a FWD after owning a RWD.
Agreed. I felt really bad that my Prelude didn't have VTEC but, it feels slightly torquier. It's still a blast to drive around hard.
I had a 2010 and a 2012 SI before I getting my current mustang GT. I can say these cars are great and a lot of fun for the price point. No reason to knock them. People judge without ever driving it.
fan of both civic and mustang owned & sold ep3 , 02 mustang , cant decide between 8th gen civic or s197 now
First rating on this was a dislike... you have some dedicated haters!
more like the car has some dedicated haters.
They are fun to drive
Yeah Honda in general is a brand that has always garnered a level of attention.
Some Honda owners kinda ruin it by creating a bad stereotype.
ya I hate having to keep my honda a secret...
These cars have been around for a while and there's a reason for that and its not because they're "shitboxes". You have a solid starting point and from there the sky's the limit.
Judge how the owner carries himself and not the car!
FWD is the limit* lmao
Maybe I can send you some Neosporin for your knuckles.
Y Truth Hurts fuck u
hahahhaahaa!
@truth hurts's comment
Honda is the type of brand that I used to ride the hate bandwagon(this was when the whole VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO phenomenon just took off too) on when I was a teen minus the S2k and NSX, but I've grown to like and appreciate their cars as an adult. They're fun little cars when sorted out properly.
Danny J. Llerena as a college student who enjoys cars, I've contemplated buying one just because they're reliable and inexpensive to maintain, but the hate bandwagon has held me back from buying one (or an Acura for that matter)
Devin Brodbeck honestly, if you really like the car buy it. Hate is just noise in the end, not a reality
The best part about them is they are extremely well built, very reliable cars. Cars aren't fun when you are worried that they will break down all the time.
They make some amazing engines. The hate comes from the idiot who pulls up next to you at the light with his riced out Civic with basic bolt-ons wanting to race your 500hp turbo. (happens all the time)
Matthew Sharpe Yeah the K series is easily one of the best 4 bangers out there period.
80% of the haters are WRX's owners whom had spend thousands on their turbo charge flat four just to get their ass kicked by a NA civic
and then they blow up 🤣
Acurate AF bro.
Some bmw 328i and Audi A4 guys in there too.
Never owned a civic but I have 2 Subaru’s and I can tell you that’s probably the case. I ran one with Intake/catback exhaust/flash pro in my stock Speed6 and he hung dead even with me. I know the RBC manifold upgrade on the 9th gens really help with roll racing, with that upgrade and throttle body and down pipe he would have beaten me
Owned* 2 Subaru’s not anymore lol
@@sleeper.simulant7327 so are you talking mazda or subaru hanging with you? Kinda confused. If you're saying stock mazda speed six vs a civic with that shit done to it you're lying like shit
ye olde vtec doth kicketh in, yoeth

Lmao.
Title: 2015 Honda Civic Si
Matt:"How long have you had this?"
Giovanni: "About a year now"
Chris Brown I would have said two years just to troll lol
lol :P
Maybe he could have bought it second hand a week ago or something, still feel clever?
Although @ImadS does have a point, that comment is still hilarious. :D
I've had my 2015 si over a year. you should have stayed in school kids.
diesel trucks rollin coal (!!! wooooooo !!!) are the new ricers. never thought id say it but its true.
For sure. Where I live a modified Honda is nowhere to be seen. Lifted trucks with plastic testicles hanging off the back though, everywhere... I live in the city. lol.
***** Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements is one definition, or just a term for ugly modifications found on mostly Japanese cars (when the trend started) with the term rice or rice rocket also referencing how Asian people eat rice. So, when truck guys or anyone else put ugly or useless mods on their vehicles, the same definition fits.
I've heard the R.I.C.E. definition before, but I always assumed they just called these cars ricers because they're usually from an asian manufacturer.
I assume that is where it started, yes. But the term quickly became about how people were "ruining" their cars with tasteless mods.
Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements = RICE
been wanting to pick up a civic SI for a while now. this video makes me want one even more!!
Great video, Matt! I always love how honest and straight forward you are with these one takes. I just reviewed a 2013 Civic Si and it was definitely a lot of fun - took me by surprise!
I daily an 01 Mustang GT and I'd still rather see different Civics on this channel because of how creative all the people get with their cars and how little they care about the RPM'S sitting high all day. I absolutely love it.
Before being tuned, this car and his bolt ons probably makes 225 at the crank.
I have the same car, 2015 Si sedan. Hate if you must, but carving up a good twisty Road in 2nd and 3rd, staying in VTEC, is amazing. The engine note, the power, the nice wheel feel, it's really good. That engine note up at 6000+ makes you think it's something exotic
THE VIDEO I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
I love this channel so much. Keep up the good work Matt!
Wouldnt mind
Dailying one of these.
Says the dedicated troller...LOL
I had a 12' Si for a daily, it was perfect for what I needed. Shifting was always rewarding.
Yeah I like how it looks like they could take a beating. Plus this particular one sounds pretty bad ass :D
***** ya got me
I do daily one of these. To me its the perfect daily. It is not super fast but it is super fun. It's reliable, easy to work on and relatively inexpensive.
and here come the dislikes just because it's a honda.
A GTI will demolish a Si, especially if you tune.
VW's are nicer cars , it has to be said . The Si is nice , but it was nothing on a GTi when it comes to the quality . Better interior and ride , much more refined . Honda engines are better , it must be said . But the VAG 2.0l super-turbocharged engine can push numbers that kill any V-TEC . Maybe they should make a car together , that would be the killer Hot-Hatch .
yup, the GTI and WRX are at another level
boost the SI and no. I have a lightened and suspension upgraded 15 SI coupe, and many faster cars in the past including k04 Mk6 GTI.
unfortunately, a lot of car that are made fast aftermarket can be pretty flaky.
it actually sounds pretty nice
That exhaust sounds pretty amazing.
Matt, I can always tell if a video is going to be good by the duration length. The longer the video, the more fun you had and the better the convo and driving.
Man i love full bolt ons and a good tune on an NA engine. So old school and raw.
Got my 09 si coupe. A blast to drive! Redline 8,200 RPM with 197 hp and 139 torque and just under 3000 LBS.
It is a really great daily. My 08' SI coupe is mine. 167k km's so far zero problems. I added Toyo Proxies for summer makes a HUGE difference. Along with a few bolt-ons and a Hondata tune.
I had the same response. I didnt want to like the car when i test drove it, but it was actually pretty awesome. Smoothest shifter i've ever felt, insanely light yet feel-able clutch, fun to rev up nice and high, I think it would make an ideal first manual for anyone trying to learn.
They're also good cars in general because the handling is so predictable and intuitive. You really have to be doing some crazy shit to find yourself in a ditch. Or you've modified the suspension. That can do it too.
The cool part is that if you learn to push these, they get better and better on the limit. They seem just "good" at first, but then you get into limit-handling and it's only then that Honda's engineering really shines.
Excuse me, 29000 miles in one year????
Grant Rodgers yeah homie lives in that car haha
Grant Rodgers when I was driving back and forth to school last year I did 64000 lol
No he doesn't. Try driving for a living and doing 75K miles in a year. I used to call my car my office.
I have a 60 mile commute to work. 120 miles/day just back and forth to work, plus any extra daily driving, plus weekends...I drive almost 40k miles every year. In a 2012 Civic Si. Great little car. Fun to drive, good gas mileage, no major problems.
Now THAT is a case of above average SoCal driving habits!
If y'all know anything about the k series motor or what you think you know, you should know that these motors respond very well to basic bolt on parts. A k20 or k24 can easily go from 160whp to 210-220whp with just bolt on parts. Give or take on the motor, tuner, and the type of parts that you use. You won't make that kind of power naturally aspirated with the eBay special bolt ons. People some how still don't believe or it's too good to be true and they don't want to believe it. Any other 4 cylinder from factory that's n/a Wont make that power. That's why we love the high compression of the k series. Keep hating y'all. hahaha & plus this car has a RBC intake manifold swap & E85.. So 220's is easy all fucking day long ! If you can tune it right ;)
HADDOCKRACING I agree this car made every bit of 225 whp, and I have two different K series coming up, a civic and an Integra, both making 260 ish at the wheels, NA. None of it seems very complicated.
stock 15's make 170whp+.... shoot my 1998 integra gsr made 153whp with i/h/e... i'm SURE this car makes 215-220whp.. as most full bolt on tuned k series do.. pretty cookie cutter.
I remember my first beer...
You're assumptions about the K20 and K24A engines carrying over to the K24Z in newer Hondas are incorrect. There's no more putting a K20 head on the K24 block and revving it to 9000 rpm.
Too bad Rover's k series (company Honda used to own) engines weren't that good :)
Got the 2015 si because of this vid. Love it.
i love my fa5 :) i'm glad matt appreciates hondas for what they are
Hondas are great cars. They just are.
I had a 2013 si for my first new car and absolutely loved every second of owning that car. If it hadn't been terrible in the snow I would still have it, but unfortunately when your driving around a car that ways less than 3,000 pounds in New England your going to spin out on the highway all the time in snow storms lol
The car is amazing in the snow for what it is
I live in VA so we have intermittent snow storms. I have a 12’ Si and it saved the day after we got about 6-8” of snow and I was the only one who could get traction and get us out of our neighborhood. It’s got an lsd and traction control. I feel better driving this car in the snow, than some crappy commuter car. Of course, Awd or a 4x4 would be better, but this isn’t about them.
What part new england ? I wanna swap k24z7 in 2nd gen honda fit
I have a stock 2008 Civic Si. I love it. Honda makes solid cars to beat on all the time. They are not maybe the fastest cars or best handling, but you can do upgrades and beat on them all day and never break them. They are just a ton of fun. I find the 2.0lt vs. the 2.4 lt has a little more character with the 8k redline. But the 2.4 lt is easier to get the fun out of it more often. I agree, the stereo in my 2008 is better than the 2012 and up. I feel like they took away a little sharpness and fun for the 2012 and up. Thus we did not get it for my wife. But I will not sell my 2008 unless I absolutely have to. I like the upgrades you did and it sounds stock, but with more volume. Which the newer ones need.
this thing is awesome in a subtle way
that fly by sounded amazing
Also, the 2.4 lt is way easier to get more power out of. K&N claims like 12hp gain for the intake kit on the 2.4lt. They claim 7hp on the 2.0 lt I have. It also doesn't do much throughout the band on my engine, does a lot more on your 2.4 lt.
sounds pretty good for an Si
My new Civic turbo manual is a lot of fun!!! it will be available in America soon, looking forward to see Matt driving it. It took around 1500km to break-in the shifter and it's still improving from being very notchy when new, so dont complain when reviewing brand new cars. It's a completely different engine, with a lot of torque at any rpm, a lot of fun in daily driving because it's always ready to take off
Matt has been saying for YEARS that Honda makes the best shifters in the cheaper performance car game. I respect that.
Nice review Matt. I came from a bolted 370z and K04 MK6 GTI and now daily a 15 Si coupe with suspension/brake upgrades. This car handles like a beast with coils, sways, brakes and lightweight wheel/tire combo! I really enjoy the car and its surprises most with how fun it is to drive compared to my previous cars. The coupe weighs less to start and mine went on a 200lb diet.
What did you do to shed 200lbs?
I actually worked on this car. This car still has the stock cly head which is extremely restrictive and does not have Vtec on the exhaust side. The Vtec it has on the intake side is only one valve aswell not a true Vtec setup. This is why we see 50-60whp gain off head swap set ups which Matt has driven
DOHC models have VTEC on both sides don't they?? Sounds good though, but not like my 97 F20B :)
Nope. Only certain K series engines have "performance i-VTEC" (The K24 in the TSX and K20 in the 9th gen Civic Si spring to mind), most only have economy i-VTEC which only engages on the intake cam.
Oh true! Thats a shame. It does sound good, but you can't beat a B16A or F20B for good old VTEC Screamin' :)
Yeah, I hear you. The K series engines outperform pretty much every other Honda four, but they don't have quite the same feeling. The way VTEC engages on the old B-series mills is like nothing else. I've never had the pleasure of driving anything with a twin-cam F series, other than an S2000, but the F20C is a bit different. I've thought about putting an H22 in my Integra though.
I've had a few late 90s Accords with DOHC VTEC and the aim is to amplify the VTEC and crossover but keep the engine note reasonable. Haha love it :)
One take just before work :) Thanks!
YES YES YES thank you for railing this honda i feel like you dont drive these things like you really wanna because the owner is in the car the with you but this one you got on it a few times thats what i wanna see i wanna see what these cars really got . thanks matt and everyone at smoking tire this is my fav car show on youtube cheers.
Put on your blond Donald Trump helmet back on... like your first review. Then talk some comparison with "safety" (whoo) features. Price> than price... when one can mod the shit outta you?
sounds really nice ! not as nice as k20z3 but for a k24 sounds real nice
I got it at 225hp with bolt ons, "oh what is it stock? 240 or something?" lmao
he was talking crank HP.
Matt is NOT the car guy he thinks he is....his wallet is way larger than his knowledge base and I hear his mistakes quite often, but he has a good show and idea and does burnouts, so hey.....gotta respect that!
LSX KING Car Knowledge wise for him it’s like Jack of all trades Master if none. Nothing wrong with that.
Oh my goodness lmao I just watch a video review of you doing a Honda civic si and picked up your homies and you said OH VTEC KICKED IN YO made me laugh so much because you did in this one.😂
These vlogs are so cool
"One with the vehicle" so well describes Honda...the good ones anyway :) A smart owner knows that a bigger exhaust (even worse, noisier exhaust) can be too much.
Why do all the people on here not realize he's trying to shake their hand?
Matt Doiron I don't think most people can appreciate that some of the guests are distracted/intimidated/nervous about being in their own car with me and having a camera right in front of their face, and me just saying "go." We don't judge personalities, just cars, so some people are better equipped for camera time, mentally, than others. It's all good.
Makes sense. I'd probably be nervous as hell too.
+TheSmokingTire typical honda driver ricer lol
theres nothing rice about the car shown on this video , please learn the term rice
I agree Matt Dorion I am not even sure I would want to ride along because you say one thing wrong and this comment section is brutal lol.
Wow, sounds great!!
From lambo to Honda, you never know what you are going to get one day to the next
I did every bolt on the other forum bros did
For people doubting, a well known tuner of these cars was able the break 200 whp STOCK. Factory tune is crap and a dp alone adds about 10 whp post tune on these cars lol.
I would love to know exactly what brands are the mods that he has on the car cause it sounds great.
beautiful car guys, thanks for sharing... btw which camera are you using?
How did you like it compared to the Fiesta & Focus STs? The 9th gen SIs were on my radar when I was shopping but I wasn't a huge fan of the switch to the 2.4L since the 2.0s revved out so nicely. I know you touched on this briefly but I'm curious to see what you think.
Inside Line the Honda is physically the biggest. So if you really need that back seat, it may be the best option. The fords feel faster all around, but the Civic SI is a very engaging car to drive
My modified RSX Type S and my friend's stock 2015 Si both got destroyed in a race against a Focus ST that's stock.
Can't beat reliability. This would outlast any Fiesta or Focus
The Focus ST is VERY quick out of the box, it's like an updated Mazdaspeed 3 to me.
Historically this seems to be true, I had a hard time finding long term info on the Fiesta since it only came out here in 2014. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up over time.
Nobody complaining about the lack of hand shaking yet?
Ohh yeah! the Lane Watch Camera really suprised Matt. It sure comes in handy in heavy Downton PHX traffic..
I fell in love with honda all over agian
love the video. ignore the haters. bunch of uneducated "car enthusiasts".
To each his own. Stop hating on the dude. These comments are cancer, turn back now.
1:02 I reallyy do love how Hondas sound lol. Always have as a kid, still do. Many people hate them, but man I can listen to that sound all day. I admit the base model Civics sound annoying usually. My fav Civic Si is the 8th Gen, but I do like these new ones also. The new coupe looks so nice from the rear, the wing is a perfect fit.
It's hilarious that I got the Honda Civic and Huyndai Elentra comparison ad before watching this video xD
This car is still better than my 98 camry 😖😓
I also got a 98 camry. 105k miles currently
Ramo Mine is at 115k miles
well depends on what you prefer more
Or better a turbo ls
I'd actually like a 98 Camry😂😂😂
Cool car but if I bought one I would definitely go forced induction and surprise the shit out of everyone.
Yeah like easy 350-400whp on boost w/ stock internals.
definitely one of the better sounding SI's. I'm impressed. Matt any upcoming Jeep SRT8s? if not, I might be willing to take mine and make a trip to Cali. I've never been and it would be an honor! Cheers from Oklahoma
I think its time Matt that you made a compilation video of all the attempted handshakes at the start of every video.
Start vlogging man. Your channel would take off
vlogging is kinda idiotic IMO. Live your own life dude and go outside...see friends and family...anything other than sitting in front of a computer watching someone else live THEIR life.
ChaosphereIX sometimes seeing other people following their dreams helps other people do the same bro. Vloggers help a lot of people
ChaosphereIX fucking lame ass downer

Cool car can't wait to see what the new type R will be like.
The car sounds great
WOW! 50 whp gain from intake and exhaust. Impressive! Don't blow the welds on your intake, bro! That thing is a HP multiplying machine!
and a tune you dumb fuck
lee dog uncalled for. lol
8th gen> 9th gen all day.
Says the guy that owns a hyuandai lol
@@TConder88 hey bub I own a supercharged mugen si lol
And I've owned both an 8th Gen and 9th gen si. Have you owned both?
love this model, looks beautiful when you stance it👌
Im proud to have the same car as you man, leave the haters on the pile of trash let’s keep what we think gonna make us happy.
3,002 lbs
220whp? no
205hp
174lb-ft
blfhatboi to the wheels these k24s barely make 200hp with bolt ons but it make it up with torque like 170tq
That's heavy as fuck! My 1997 Civic HX weighs 2251lbs (NOT GUTTED)!! The newer the car the heavier! 1957 Bel Air Hard Top weighs in at 3390lbs with a V8, it makes me mad as fuck that cars now a days have all this extra bullshit weight.
Terrible drone in this video
I had a 13 si and I loved the car, reliability, interior, sound and gas mileage. my only problem is that the gear ratio was too close for daily city driving. I had to change 4 to 5 gears while cruising at 35/40 in order for the car to be comfortable and without high revving.
Vtec powaaaa. Love the hondas high revving engines!
Intake manifold isn't worth the money, w/ mods he has 15 hp over stock. That's why I sold my 13'.
tim scallan what did you end up getting afterwards?
Jamison V i had a 12' 335i, and now a 17' Sti
I want the STI but I'm going to wait for the new engine :)
That's a crap deal , the 335i is better in all conceivable ways
tim scallan great choice on the 17 sti, love the way they handle, you really notice the torque vectoring.
Somehow doubting that it's making 225whp.
I/h/e with a rbc swap and a tune will make 220-230 whp on these 9th gens
We're All Thieves look it up... it's accurate.
somehow you are super uneducated
It's an easy number for a k20 to reach. Not hard to believe at all.
he did not make 50hp whp from bolt ons
I love these videos, any chance you could get a one take with a Maserati GT MC Strandale? Also perhaps whenever you decide to come down under you could review a HSV GTS or FPV GT F, proper Aussie vehicles you'll love them. ;)
Great vid of an every-day car that many, many people have and can make faster easily. The Civic is a great platform to start from, and has an amazing shifter. Plus it will never break, theoretically. Great starter car. Beyond that, I really dislike the damn things...almost as much as Corollas. Never have done anything for me, and always felt so lifeless to me. To each their own, of course.
Damn theres so many haters here lol
I feel like you should drive cars like this before cars like the lambo. it makes these cars seem really boring by comparison..not a fault of yours but it seems like you struggle to find good things about cars like these after you drive supercars haha
MegaSturrup I didn't drive them on the same day....
TheSmokingTire gotcha. Great video nonetheless. You are very intune with the driving experience.
Matt, you mentioned you were in England (my home country) on the weekend, how comes? business or pleasure? Have been wondering recently if you'd be in the UK at all.
Josh Winn I was there filming drive on NBC sports
i find this more interesting than the lambo because most people are afraid to modify there super cars unless they just hit a check box on a website for what option they want from the factory
That baby chirped second, nice.👊
Sound amazing
I put 20k in 10 months but I deliver Chinese food in my mk4 Jetta 😂😂😂
good stuff
Is it beige?
+Ferre94a nope
watch that, trust
oneill vittini only mk4 i know is supra.
All those mods to get your 15sec car into the high 14s.
Yes. :)
Not a drag car. Thats like saying adding 300 more hp to a hellcat won't make it any more faster on the autocross.
These cars are garbage at autox anyhow. I've never been impressed with them. 3000lbs, fwd.
Also seen them run 15s all day at my local 1/4 mile.
XenomorphLV426 you drive a Nissan Sentra...
Lol, I ran low 12s last time at the track, going back for mid 11s next month
I wanted one....but needed a hatchback....really hoping the new SI brings me back to Honda
I have a 2013 Si sedan essentially the same car as this and for the price(used) it is a fantastic and fun daily. People who hate on these have never been in one. It's not a race car.. It's just a good, fun car.
LOL at the 220 whp guess......stock is around 150-160ish at the wheels so pulling the cat, cai, tb, cat back is 60- 70hp????? Sorry, honda is not that bad at building cars. They do not loose that much with the intake and the out the back.
Stock is 170-180 wheel. A full bult on setup would put him at 220-225 wheel, but with just a 3" DP, intake and tune he's probably at ~200-205 depending on what intake he has.
my 1998 integra gsr made 153whp with intake header and exhaust.. lol.. get real kid.
That's a 1.8 liter b18c1, this engine is 2.4 k series and it's been tuned... lol
b00stedrust your car is either not tuned properly or you need to do a compression test
I haven't owned the car in years.. and it was actually one of the strongest bolt on gsr the tuner had ever seen considering it was on a heartbreaker dynapak.. which had many stockish gsr below 150whp...it's compression was spectacular.. and it made 302whp at 9psi on a non ball bearing... t3/t04e 57 trim on a completely stock motor.. Drove it from 109k to 157k then built it... trapped 114mph the day I took it from the shop and 113.7mph the day I took it apart to build it.. 😉
All those mods and its still sounds slow af lol
SOUNDS.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
"Sounds slow" says the dude with a Lexus.
PeePee2000 Enjoy your Econ box Honda Civic and I'll enjoy my Lexus IS-F. When we meet up at light we'll see what happens.
Enjoy your econ box rebadged Toyota :^)
sounds really nice for being a honda
Just like the last gen Mazdaspeed3, this is a car I would totally love to own but I just can't get past the styling. I think what helps these cars a lot appearance wise is lowering them a bit. The ride height look so high from the factory.
if you want a fast car don't get a fucking civic dude cmon wtf. 205hp. lol for the price of a new civic you could have bought something a few years old that is actually cool.
Good driving car? These cars are really good driving cars. High Rev limit, great with coilover suspension, and can sound good with the right bolt ons. High horsepower car it isn't, but a good driving car, it's spot on.
Like good for driving fast not just around town. These are gay for anything but commuting
You've discredited yourself by saying "these are gay"
silent hill. these are super gay
Man I don't know how you guys can really hate on honda, my neighbour just hit 400km on his, idk what that is in miles but its WAY more than my last car had before I scrapped i. The "Kanjo in Osaka(street racing group) ONLY use civics lol and those races look fucking CRAZY lmao. I'm not a honda fanboy, I don't even drive a honda, but when I did, they earned my respect
This made me miss my Si
After this week everyone will know to shake your hands!
Yeah, I got RE-71r's for autocrossing after a few events with the Conti All Seasons. What a difference.
