- This 2007 Honda Civic Si was built by Emmanuel Burciaga of NA Performance, and is currently making 330 horsepower from a high-compression 2.5L stroker engine running Ethanol blend. The parts list is ridiculously extensive, and while this isn't a project Emmanuel recommends for his customers, it's a testament to the kind of speed and power possible without turbocharging a Honda engine.

This fucking guy used to modify intakes. He had something called the x intake and I bought it from him. He installed it and went to a dyno place in Ventura where I got 22 hp from it. This was in 2008 so things have definitely magnified for him. Way to go Emmanuel

In my opinion Honda is up there with Porsche. Yes they’re totally different brands but they both have a lot of racing history. But I completely agree Matt is cool
I’d the the same way if I won a $100 million lottery. I would have a Walmart size shop/garage. I’d have an Rx8, some Porsche’s and maybe one Ferrari but the rest of my fleet would be like $50K cars. I’d have a stock mint lowest mile possible version of all my favorite cars, another version to daily, and another to build up to crazy power. Multiple examples of every great JDM car and all generations.
I would go to the best mechanic school and a driving school. I’d build crazy ass cars. Whatever crossed my mind. Like ok let’s put a hellcat motor in a IS300.

I always come back watching this video almost once a month, since 2017. I consider this car the "holy grail" of how a real street 8th gen should be. The combination of how mild it looks, the 14.1 compression, the traction control (using a real standalone Motec ECU) sound on 1st gear, damn.

The e-85 doesn't make more power. It enables you to tune the 14:1 comp motor to 330hp and still fill up at a pump. It's just cheaper and more convenient than race gas fellas.

As a porsche 911 owner honda makes some of the best sports car in the world; s2000 and NSX are still some of the best car I've never driven.
Even my little Civic Si, not as fast or good handling. Is a blast to drive.
Upgraded intake, high flow catless header and exhaust. Professional tune on 93 octane.
I love getting on the interstate while doing a 3rd gear pull! The motor sings at 8500rpm.
Once again... It's not fast. But for a cheap car with $1600 in mods it's fun to keep in the high rpms and enjoy.
Been beating on my k20 and k24 cars for the last 6 years everyday. Never a single issue.

As a matter of fact most Nurburgring lap records are by Porsche. So I think he means as someone who as experienced a truly performance orientated car he appreciates and understands how good Honda is.

It's not that hard. All the k series parts are interchangeable. Im using a k20a2 final drive (4.3) with civic Si 1-5 and tsx 6th gear.

I believe the tsx 6th gear is longer than the 8th gen 6th gear and the 9th gen si 6th gear is the longest out of all of them.

I'm a diehard BMW guy (for the not-current N/A ones anyways) and I absolutely love this build. This guy went all out in pushing the limits of the motor and keeping it N/A. This car reminds me of Honda's glory days in the 90s. Love it!

+Justin Purdue No, but even just your basic K20A2 with bolt ons responds very well and makes good power. This is an extreme all out build. $15k is a lot for any engine, but theres not a lot of 4 cylinders out there that will touch the 300+ wheel horsepower mark N/A and still be streetable. So I would say yes, its still somewhat easy.
8th gen Si. Intake, header, full 3" exhaust, TB spacer, and Flash pro tune is easily 220WHP. So that N/A 2.0L engine making 260hp

That high rev sound was incredible. Not the sound I'm typically into, but wow was that enjoyable to listen to it just keep on revving.

160 hp per liter. That would be impressive with a turbo. This Civic is NA. Example: a Bugatti Veyron makes 125 hp per liter with FOUR turbos, Porsche 911 Turbo makes 142 hp per liter.
Where did you learn to do math 330hp /2.5 liters does not =160 it's 132

Great video, awesome car! In all honesty, I’ve driven quite a few high horsepower, giant turbo cars. They’re fun as hell... however, the best fun I’ve ever had in a car was in a lightly tuned Honda Fit. Banging through gears, and being able to put it to the floor Revving the engine to the redline is just a super pure feeling. So much more satisfying to drive a slow car fast.

I've never meet anyone who owns an Evo who wasnt in the military or wasnt old. Where is this dream world that kids are convencing their parents that evos are partical cars? In fact I use to sell mitsubishi and the only young kid I saw buy one new worked 70 hours a week if not more and mostly grave yard shifts. He did it manitance work that he tought himself without any college education and was making plenty of money. I feel like you may be projecting a lot over there lol.

But when I got it, the engine eventually gave out and it had sludge all over the engine so i had to buy a new engine and along with the labor was $4500, i was so pissed at the dealer but i mean it was used so its always the customers fault for taking a bargain. So that time they did help me, i paid half, my bro put 1000 and my parents put 1000 as well. But other than that its been all me. and I recently bought new tires on it. But yea everyone my age and friends have saved up their own money to buy their own cars. Depends where you live thats for surr. Cuz i know in the upper class area of town, i see little 17 yr olds driving brz's, genesis, sti's, or even new mustangs to school cuz i pic up my sister at her high school so it could have been there parents that bought them those cars. In high school 2 yrs ago i was lucky enough to drive my bros car to school and these 17 and 18 year olds driving sporty cars, smh at myself😅

I can make that with a tune, downpipe, and upgraded TMIC. All up 2 k in my Mazdaspeed 3.

@@ryanclark457 not necessarily lol. You can do it with 200. Take a buggy rail, street legal and set up for autocross suspension wise. Slap a 2180cc built vw race motor in it and wala. Little short wheel base sucker's weigh maybe 1500 pounds lol similar power to weight ratios as a 600whp Corvette.

Dudes loosing their minds over the price and it's 15g not 50. FIFTEEN. It's a lot but something about n/a builds is more special. It's not easy to get good numbers out of natural aspiration and it's just a great journey. It's all about personal preference at the end.
NA tuning is real tuning, finding 5 hp here, 10 hp here... the perfect set of compromises. :) Not just cranking up the boost, cranking up the boost is too easy... ;)

All day and with a lighter chassis he wouldn't need such radical low gearing either which would also take away the 4-5 shift before going through the traps...... I could easily set that car up to make a 10.99 with myself driving as well.

I dont see why everyone's freaking out over the cost of the build. what car can you buy for 15k that will run 11 second 1/4 miles? that's basically what a z06 will run and at a fraction of the cost. not to mention that I bet it handles like a beast. 15 isn't much when you look at it like that.
