- Just a short video of how to remove the stock shift knob and replace with another. It is easier to push down the plastic clips than the video suggests, I didn't want to block the camera!

Excellent tutorial. Right to the point and very helpful. Thanks for posting this.
Best vid on youtube for 9th gen. Well done sir.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Perfect DIY video better than any other, worked great thanks!
Thanks for the video? Made it look very easy. I'll try this out when I get my shift knob delivered. :)
Very usefull, simple and straight to the point ! Thank you
Glad it helped!
Clear and concise video.
Goood thank you men. I tried hard so much and almost break my wrist just trying to twis it without tools😂🙏
Good to know the Skunk2 6 speed shifter fits. Amazon claims that it does not fit my car. Thanks for the video, very easy to follow.
D H Just confirm it has the correct thread pitch. It should be 10mm x 1.5. Thanks for the comment!
@@kevink400 It's a 2013 Si and the shifter looks identical to the one in the video. But I will measure before buying, just to make sure. Thanks for the tip! :)
thanks for the good video. helped out a lot
Glad it helped!
Very well mad video with a good angle. Thank you
I'm glad you liked it, I will be posting some more videos soon!
Great video
thanks for this. love the stock on mine but i like bigger knobs so i think I'll change it soon.
No problem, hope it helped!
"well that was easy !"
lol thanks ~
THANK YOU!!
My boot doesn't stay clicked up it keeps falling down making my shift knob appear more circumcised than normal
Would this apply to the 9th gen accord MT?
what thread pitch?
Are you willing to sell your old stock shift knob?
do you happen to know if the 9th gen shift knob fits the 8th gen civ??
Yes, the shift knobs have the same thread pitch. M10 x 1.5.
Where in nfld are you located? Good video.
THorne H Thanks, located in Paradise.
KK_24z7 ha. Figured. How's your experience been with the gen9 civic? Been reliable? Decent on gas? Thinking about picking one up used. Took one for a test drive and seemed to ride rough. It's the last of the true v-Tecs though. Thanks man.
THorne I had a rocker arm fail at 13k which is a known issue. Also had my clutch replaced due to the squeaking issue which is also a known issue. Both replaced under warranty without hassle. Aside from those it's a great car and I was just unlucky enough to be affected by both. I average around 8.5 L/100km combined. It is stiffer than an average vehicle but I've driven a lot stiffer/rougher. Are you in NL as well?
KK_24z7 ok. Good to know. Only thing I would like to do is downgrade the tires to 17s to make it cheaper to buy rubber. I'm not in NF. I'm in NS but I have friends in St. John's
Hey I have a 9th Gen Civic Si as well. My shift knob is scratched up all over by the previous owner and I'm looking for another one that is in good condition. Are you interested in selling your stock shift knob?
Hey, thanks for checking out the video. I'm not interested in selling my stock shift knob, I like to keep everything in the event that I go back to stock to sell down the road (maybe when the Type R arrives!).
Oh ok too bad..Yea hopefully we'll get the actual Type R in north america soon and not some "tamed" version of the Type R.
lmao im in the same boat, just bought a '12 Si and the top silver piece of the stock knob is scratched to hell by the *one* owner it's had.
I broke all my clips
The fact that people working on cars would actually need an explanation on something so unbelievably simple is proof positive just how stupid people have become. 47 k+ views man the populace has grown simple.
2013 LX isn't like that.
My boot broken
