  • IT'S FINALLY HERE! After being stuck in Illinois for a year because of flights being scrubbed due to inclement weather and mechanical issues, I finally got to take my first official flight in the BAC Strikemaster. This is the last leg of the journey from Ocala to Sarasota, Florida. Up to this point, Rich has been the pilot for all previous legs of the flight.
We took off from Ocala International Airport and charted a course to Sarasota, where my family and team from Xcelleration Aviation awaited my arrival. We hope you join us for this adventure, which has been a year in the making.
A special thanks to all of you who have followed me on this journey from the beginning. Your support and enthusiasm have meant the world to me, and I am so grateful to be more connected to my aviation community than ever!

Thanks, I appreciate that. From what I have been told by the family about Fred, I've heard I'm similar in the sense that we both wanted to fly. It's not something we were taught, just something we wanted to do... I'm glad that my son is currently pursuing his private pilot license too. Thanks so much. 😁

Flaps at Take Off, easier to get onto the wing. 2155 lbs fuel in the wing plus 700 in the tips, hour to hour and a half range. When we towed them we always had someone in the cockpit on brakes. Something wrong wuth the canopy. You can either motor it up and down ir pull the handle to disengage the drive mech anism and the spring pulls it up, unless you have let the spring unwind.

Appreciate the info! We are working on the cockpit right now, which is why we are opening it manually for the time being. Thanks for joining us here on the channel.
