- **RE-UPLOAD IN HD WITH FIXED AUDIO**This time we detail the build of a CP2 engine for our turbo R7 project so we can turn up the boost. Featuring forged Carrillo rods, PSI valve springs & ARP head studs as well as an upgraded clutch.

Love watching some proper engine work 👍🏻 I work on my own bikes and learning how to rebuild an engine was one of the most satisfying things I've done....old bikes are easy to improve, modern ones, not so much. Turbo charging has got me thinking !
im a bike mechanic in melb and i really do love the R7 and MT07.
lams and open are both just well balanced bikes with a really awesome power delivery And the R7 is my fav looking sports bike of all time, BUT
id prefer spending 10-15k on a 2nd hand late model R1 or mt_09.
I have multiple bikes including a cbr1k on 14.1 comp and race fuel making over 200hp But again
my friends mt09, full exhaust, power commander, quick shift and dyno tune is by far the best street bike ive ridden on the streets. Its got both torque and HP, a sick sound, smooth enjoyable and still handles as well as a bike needs to on the street

I would think that a little grease on valve spring keepers would help to keep them in place .

What do you think about suzuki getting a patent for a turbo Ptwin for their 800cc ptwin? People don't lile the idea of losing a spicy inline 4 in favor of a P twin but i think when people ride one and get a fist full of juicy torque they might change their minds. I think it's the future of Euro compliance and big power.
I am guessing that I have to pull my engine out of the frame to adjust the valve clearance?
So, does the ECU still have the restrictions from the factory or have you flashed and given the throttle a 1:1 and sorted the air/fuel ratio? If the ECU is still stock I bet you'd get another 15-20 hp by removing the factory restrictions.
ECU is tuned
Flashing the ECU is the modern version of fitting a dynojet kit and ignition advancer, more involved sure, but only optimising the settings via the ECU.... this is real tuning !
@@nickrider5220 False because there are throttle restrictions in place inside the ECU not just fueling tables.

Can you use a mt09 injector newer than a 2020 or is there a difference?
Also what did you install onto the kit to be able to turn up the boost like that?
The 21 onwards injectors flow the same as the earlier ones & have a slightly more refined spray pattern, we haven't tried them but they should be fine also
@@CoryAulenbachit's a simple boost tee , an electronic controller is better as you can set boost levels & adjust how boost comes on etc , we will be changing over to an electronic controller soon.
When you say go back to the 6 Spring Clutch , You must mean a non Slipper clutch such as my 2017 FZ-07 has..
