Not boring AT ALL!! I went ALL IN last year with FIFTY 2018 CMLs for my initial silver stacking entry. I’m such a contrarian, and the price on these royal mint beauties was too good to pass up. I stack for weight, recognizability, and trust (as you know) so the regular CMLs and the ASEs are TOPS on my list. And BOY did I get into silver CML stacking in the right year for a shot at avoiding 🥛 spots!!! Great video! 👌🏼😄👌🏼
Glad you did this video. Really hope milkspots don't ever appear on the new Maples because that's what i'm going to be stacking here in Toronto from now on. Go Leafs!!
I´m a newbie stacking. Bought my first 50 t.onces a couple of weeks ago. I choose the CML for the price, and in my opinion, it´s the best looking bullion. A perfect match.
Just picked up a ms70 2018 incuse maple 🍁 got a great deal couldn’t pass it up . wow! I really love the maples . They are a gorgeous coin . I do have some older ones with milk spots on them . They where a buck over spot so I was game for the bullion alone . If I can get them cheap then I’ll stack’em beep
I bought the same way. I started buying more (maples) starting with the 2018’s. I really like the incuse maples a lot better!-(since there’s a mintage on the incuse it’s a win- win!! )
Only a few of my 2015 have some milk spots, but, again, I always buy in tubes and in random years for the cheapest price possible. Also, the spots are on the side of the outside ring.
I bought 10 coins from SD recently random year (1998), 9 have have brown tarnishes around the edges, no scratches, they came in sealed plastic squares, I was very disappointed, was advised by them to keep them and it does not diminish their values. What r your thoughts? Thanks!
"Tarnish" you state is toning. Unless in a zero atmosphere location or sealed, all silver will tone over time. The packaging limits it. Place one edge on window sill and see turbo toning. You should not be disappointed if there are no surface damage, scratches etc. Want pure shine? Purchase E-Z-Est Silver cleaner follow instructions & wear gloves. I dip bullion and rounds which I wish to see as new. I do not dip Numismatic coins.
@@susannashantikotlyar9441 Welcome. Plastic LDPE flips, breathe. They are not 100% sealed. Put spaghetti sauce in a rubbermaid and it stains, walk the detergent aisle at the grocery store and smell the detergents. Both show how plastic exchanges with exterior atmosphere due to micro holes and resulting osmoses. Just saying as more than likely your coins are gaining patina and some collectors love it.
Great video man, imo canada has always had the best mint with all there amazing coin designs. If they fixed the milk spot issue then they will see a huge increase in profit in the next years.
I was hoping the Queen's cheek would be better on the incuse version as it is lower down, but no luck. However, on the 30th anniversary edition, the ones I got were perfect, so it has more to do with how long they use the dies or the care they take. On the other hand, the 10oz coins are always perfect.
I have tubes and tubes of the '18 and '19 silver maples. Mintshield works, it actually works. Not a single milk spot out of over 200 coins.. Someone finally, once and for all fixed the serious issue plaguing the stacking community that is milk spotting!
I thought it was the 19's that were supposed to be ok BUT. Keeping silver dry is the ticket. Blaming the Can Mint is complete BS as it happens to every mint I know of. Just keep everything dry and doing that I have never had an issue with any mint. Production oils and humidity makes for acids that affect silver this way. Personally I melt a lot of my Maples for others enjoyment and once melted they no longer will spot.
Your research or experience with coins must be limited or selective. Why would a mint declared milk, spotter take measures to cease occurrence ? Why would other mints alter process to reduce and avoid same results. I am not asking for answers.

Yankee what does your LCS pay for eagles vs. CML's?
I'm glad they haven't spotted yet. Looks like Mint Shield is working. Mine haven't spotted either.
Yes, So far so good
Interesting, thanks for taking the time to check. 👍🏻

Thankfully none of my RCM products have not spotted yet.

I don't have any of those, but was wondering how they did after time, so thanks for the video my friend.

When buying bulk it might make sense to buy multiple smaller batches in case the batch you get is more susceptible to spotting
Nice video. I bought some cml when provident put them on sale. I love them
Beautiful Coins!
Why do you have so many scratches on the protective plastic cover? Plus you have a lot of sweating or moisture on the outside of your coins.

How long does it usually take for milk spots to develop.
Never know.. It could takes years or already milk spotted when they arrive at your door.

Canada after the perth mint
What happens when the Queen dies? (God save her) will it hike up the premium?
I doubt it.. She is on almost every coin except American coinage
9999 plus security features = the best in the world.
A few millimeters higher on the rim might prevent scratches on the cheeks

Why did people stop buying them? Why did you not like them?
No milk spots that's good. I remember you saying that the 2018 krugerrad gets milk spots I looked at mine and so far so good
Yes lots of them..
Like 44 my friend

Check the edges
Those are NOT scratches on her face. Those are the lines from your cloth gloves fabric pattern !
