Yes it's good to hear from you! Just to see where I'm at in collecting I totaled up everything I bought in 2023 from the mint. I spent some money because I know the coins and medals are not fake. So I totaled up what I spent in 2023 and compared it to buying the same coins and similar medals in 2024. If I were to buy this year it would cost me about $170.00 more. I needed a new guitar amp and so I took what I would have spent in 2024 and bought a new amp. I never thought I would see the day when the mint would price me out of collecting from them.

Mint sent email saying order was successful but never charged or delivered. Maybe it was a blessing.

A Big NO on Morgans and Peace Dollars going forward

Excellent stuff again Wolvie ! Wolvie I purchased 2021,22,23 not the 24 will never again, way over priced and under hyped !. I think I did a couple of 21's of the peace and morgan's $ and I also purchased the 21 silver proof set in the late fall of that year on release day. Did not open any boxes from the mint just sent them in unopened to pcgs I requested only MS70 and/or PF70 from pcgs to be slabbed. Received package back from pcgs 5 months later (of coarse on economy shipping) only 1 peace dollar made the grade all the others came back in body bags !. Thanks over priced mint !

They're pushing us to buy them from the dealers whom they sell them lower to. There might be a kick back scheme going on. Our government has become a disgusting rot that belongs in the trash can.

During the Mint surveys i basically said the morgan/peace were the only thing i was interested in and would continue ordering. I guess they took that to mean id buy them no matter what, but they were wrong

I'd like to think that if enough people stopped buying at these outrageous prices the Mint would learn their lesson and adjust, but I am sure that is just wishful thinking.

They are great looking coins. I can see why a collector would buy those. Stacking is kind of like a hedge against collecting? II wouldn't mind one 2023 Peace Dollar.

I cancelled all USMint silver subscriptions after the price hike. So if you're keeping stats, it's not about disposable income, it's about getting ripped off. No excuse for the price hike - use the ASE for example - the cost of production for both the retail and bullion version are basically the same, but they can somehow sell the bullion ASE's for a markup of a couple of dollars, as opposed to gouging the collectors for the same coin. I won't buy silver there again, and like you, I used to spend thousands at the mint each year.

Its just crazy! They raised the price by $15. Im sure they knew they would lose some sales but i dont believe the figured it would be this much. Yes i purchased 2 of the 2024 Peace dollars. No 2024 morgans. I canceled my subscriptions for the 2024 proofs. My opinion is that people dont or didnt think that the price increase was or is worrh it. I dont understand why the mint raised the price across the board on silver coins.

They lost me back in 2021! The ordering system was broken down. I had coins in my cart and then the system took so long to get the transaction, it timed out. The flippers made a killing off that fiasco.

I have lost my want for any more copy cat coins from the mint. Reverse Proof set was the last time I had any desire for modern mint coins.

These coins are very nice, but not worth what they've been charging for them, and they will not be desired enough in the future to even sell for the amount they were bought for....

Each of my gold pieces in Air-tite Direct Fit capsule and tubes only. I want to see the edges as well. Not a fan of gloves. They're slippery enough already lol .

I'm staying far far away from the 2024 Morgan and Peace tribute coins. Reason being the way too high price for a tribute coin that isn't even an ounce of silver. That none were minted in 2022 making a set less appealing. There are tribute coins with these designs minted by other Mints with far superior quality, less expensive and typically an ounce or more of silver.

I only bought the uncirculated Morgan and Peace Dollar for 24. I won't be buying the proof versions.

HI Wolvie . I did not Buy any Peace and Morgan Silver Dollar's after the price hike . Proof ASE , I did not buy .The Mint Is Fleecing Americans . I can Buy a Graded MS64 1923 Peace Dollar for less . I turn my subs off :-))

Those are not really Morgan and Peace dollars. They are a different coin and do NOT qualify like a 90% comemmorative actually does.

I hope the US Mint has to sell most of what's left of the 2014 Morgan and Peace dollars out the back door like they just did to get rid of the DEI edition 2017 Liberty gold coin. The coin were on discount sale at JM Bullion last week and they still couldn't sell them out. Ha!

Glad to have you back SW! Still no mention of the Final Frontier 2.5 oz silver military force medal. I had seen the mint offer engraving on items in the past, they could make a bunch offering to engrave the flowing hair medal with HUNDRED CENTS ONE DOLLAR OR UNIT on the edge. It would be awesome if a mint employee allows a die position that has the medal obverse/reverse in a coin arrangement. Maybe the director would mint a few in the coin arrangement, accidentally. 😂

I wish I could break myself from buying these, but I know if I don't get them I'll feel FOMO lol. I really do like these morgan and peace dollars and I feel like if I don't get one that will be the one that will jump in price. Not liking the pricing.
