[WORLD OF KAISERREICH: AUSTRIA-HUNGARY]
The World of Kaiserreich is an animated video series explaining the lore of the Hearts of Iron mod Kaiserreich. In the alt-history timeline of Kaiserreich, a German victory in WW1 changes the world as we know it.
After victory in the Weltkrieg, Austria-hungary enters a period of internal upheaval. Despite the turmoil facing the Empire, an economic surge marks much of the late 1920's and early 1930's. Perhaps this economic boom is a sign of better things to come? Or is it merely the calm before yet another storm?

This narrator seems like the kinda guy who leads youth groups on mountain treks and tells fun campfire stories, always ready to smile and joke, but is still haunted by the things he saw in the war.

I mean sure it's not your fault,but last time that Croatia was called Iliria was by Napoleonic France.
Just fun fact,I'm troyalist plans Croatia was supposed to stretch from Italian boarder to Serbian,with only additionally Slovenia,it's known to be Croatia due to its name "Lands of King Zvonimir",aka a Croatian King.

This perfectly captures the essence of a veteran who's has been through hell, but didn't let darkness and anger take him. He came out of the war weary, but also wiser and more appreciative of what he did have.
And in that, we can feel his frustration he feels when he sees the empire he fought for breaking down due to incompetence and corruption when he saw first hand then when the chips are down, it's many ethnic and language groups could come together, they could fight together and eventually, they won together.
We feel his rage that a second great war is imminent, against familar enemies to the west and east which will mean he and so many young boys, bright eyed like he once was, would be sent to fight and die against.
This could describe Austria-Hungary/Danubian Federation if it were a person.

Showing an icon of Blessed Karl means his beatification is cannon in this timeline. (Hopefully he gets canonised earlier in this timeline).
To be fair, he was canonized after his death, he wasn’t a saint in life. According the Catholic tradition one can’t until death. Padre Pio wasn’t officially a saint until after he died.

@@warrenlehmkuhleii8472 The process has to be slow, so everything can be verified and authenticated.
St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta was one of the few exceptions (possibly for political reasons) that was beatified and canonized in a few years rather than decades. Karl’s slow process was also possibly political in nature as well, seeing as he was a liberal federalist reformist in his short term as Kaiser and the Catholic Church at the time was staunchly conservative.
Wouldn’t see the return of some “liberal views” within the church until Pius during the war.
The Empire has never before been this prosperous! Long live Kaiser Karl!

In my last two KR games with Germany and Ukraine Austria-Hungary stayed neutral, not intervening nor in Italy nor against Russia. The Belgrade Pact also never attacked, so this guys son got to enjoy his peace while others fought.
Austria-Hungary remains one of my favorite things to test in every mod that has it in some way, and Kaiserreich has always been my favorite.

I really love this new Austria Hungary tráiler, its really awesome, i cant wait to see the Ottomans one, or the south American one, and by the way mostly because im mexican I cant wait to see a Mexican Trailer about the aftermath of the Revolution, and a rework of the Country, because México currently has a lot of potential yet not exploited, cant wait to see, how this mod progress through time.

I loved the video but I kind of struggle with hearing so I have to put subtitles on, and the one's youtube auto generates sometimes are not great, specially when it's narrating something. It would be amazing if you guys ever manage to give it proper subtitles, so I and others can properly enjoy it as it was meant to. Again thanks a lots for your efforts, this content is amazing, I just wanted to point out my perspective :)
Absolutely! We are currently working on a captioning project so all the documentary episodes are captioned. We don't have captions for every wok yet though

Since we got the Austrians, it'd be fun if we eventually got a WoK video for the Ottomans. It'd be pretty cool to see a ground view of all the issues the empire has to deal with- Arab and Turkish nationalists pulling in opposite directions, the struggles of modernization, scars from the WK, etc.

Can yall add versions of "john browns body", "glory glory hallelujah", "move on over" to the american soundtrack? It is an amazing song that defines the american nation and was even considered for national anthem. It would be amazing. I know that "move on over" version wasnt around in the 40s but considering socialist history of the black panthers, it would be a nice addition to CSA

it would be cool if you could add the option of merging the reichspakt and entente into a single alliance at some point if the scenario plays out favorably for both sides
It would go something like this
Maybe there’s an option to just let the Russian state have the Ostwall states to avoid war with them, and then we have a Cold War kind of like our timeline between the fascist Moscow accord and the merged entente/reichspakt alliance, even better if the USA or PSA wins the civil war and joins the entente
There’s already one Cold War scenario emerging between the victorious third internationale with the csa/ and the Russian state
It might be cool to give to option for Germany to chicken out in the east, defeat the syndicalists, and have the option to merge with the entente into a Kaiserreich version of nato to counter russias growing power
Maybe even make some Kaiserreich Cold War
Focus trees and tech tree expansions for the Moscow accord / neo nato / and the third Internationale

Austria Hungary rework done? soon? or is it?
Compared to all other WoK's this feels very different.
Everytime they speak of war and revolution, but not in this one.
He speaks of peace and isolationism from the conflicts abroad.
Initially i didnt like this video for said reason, but i guess it makes sense as A-H was on the brink of collapse in the first world war.
Nobody in the empire wants to defend a world order forged and controlled by germany, but they want the peace and prosperity for their children which they never had in their youth.
With that popular idea of neutrality it makes sense that A-H can only get involved in the war when germany is at the brink of collapse, as it was (or still is) in the game.
When is the Ottoman Empire video coming?
