yaaay! i'm so glad you liked it thank you for posting the video, it helped me (and a lot of girls) out!
I'm one of the girls, thank you for your video 😀
@@IsabellaDemarko what about boys😞😠😠😠
@@hafizahsumayyah7839
You mean boys who think they’re girls? In other words, also girls? Because boys that know they’re boys would not curl their hair even if they had it long.
@@Epic_Shotz that’s just toxic masculinity. Boys can curl their hair for God’s sake!! Get in our generation.
Has been my favourite method this whole year. Piece of advice:
- do NOT fluff up the upper layer, it can cause frizz. Do fluff up the inner layers for extra volume
- Don't tie it very tight to your scalp, loosen it up a bit and you will have more volume in the crown area
- always like to finish it up with some light oil, such as argan, on the ends
- somehow it looks even better for me on the 2nd and 3rd after wash day, no one says you can only do it after washing your hair. I think of myself as some 50s lady, setting my hair overnight
- Hair braiding always, always, always makes my ends look frizzy af, almost like I needed a trim 5 years ago and never got it. Maybe you have similar hair to mine, which is fine?
- I also feel like it's helped my hair grow a lot, not just because I'm not using heat anymore, but also because I am wearing it in a protective style for so long. I do alternate the way I tie it and the parting to avoid any future bald spots or strain on my hairline.
REDinitial Oh gosh.... the braids and frizzy ends! I always have had the same issue.... so the robe curls method has been so amazing!! I always put the end of my hair part and kind of tuck it into the robe, that I fold around it, before I put my elastic around it! Works great and I hope it protects the ends a bit :). Robe curls are fantastic.
What other oils are good to put after showering?
Coming back a year after this with further updates. My hair is now down to my hip bones, here are more tips:
- I have had some layers put into it so it's not all down to that length. The layers help with how the curls sit but also with the weight of my overall hair. Although I have fine hair, it always tended to feel weighted down and would not hold a curl for long.
Be careful though, layers can make fine hair look even more lacklustre or thinner than it is if not shaped as according to your thickness and face/body shape. I've had that happen to me in the past
- I alternate the type of curl pattern by using different wrapping methods - I wrap all the hair in the same direction if I want more old Hollywood/mermaid curls or I wrap in alternate directions if I want more modern/Victoria's Secret blow-out style curls
- I use different thickness bathrobe ties to affect the curl type, depending on if I want tighter curls or more relaxed, blow-out style ones
- I use argan oil on the hair shaft every time I wrap my hair, which is most nights. Like I said before, I don't do this just when I wash my hair, I do it most nights like a 50s lady with her hair curlers; I find that for me the curls actually come out and hold our better the 2nd or 3rd day after washing, probably due to my hair type (fine, kind of straight-ish, not voluminous hair) - the result is that my hair is shiny af every morning and frizz free - I do admit my natural hair does not have an issue with frizz but since getting a balayage the bleached hair is more prone to frizzines and tangles
- I do this most nights to preserve the curl, but also I found that it protects my hair when I sleep (I can't stand satiny sheets so I sleep on cotton/linen pillow cases) - I think this has helped out a lot with the rate that my hair seems to grow at, I was probably unknowingly experiencing a lot of breakage before due to not wearing a protective hairstyle at night
- I tend to leave out the face framing pieces/ fringe and style them using heat in the morning if required (as they are way shorter in my case heat styling is usually required only once or twice and then I can wear the same curl but more relaxed for the rest of the week with no further need for heat)- I'd rather have some heat damage on the ends which I can cut away in time than thinning my hairline due to repeated stress on the hair roots - I naturally have a thinner hairline anyway on account of my fine hair
@@REDinitial Can you please recommend anything that dries hair faster without the need of hot tools? Do we need leave in conditioner? Also is the scalp massager good for hair?
@@DIAMOND-rl6vz I don't think I am the right person to ask as I let my hair air dry (fine hair so it's fully dry in about 2 hours, I wash my hair in the evening of my wash day).
I know some people have recommended sitting in front of a fan or diffusing on low temp, it shouldn't be too damaging.
Leave in conditioner - depends on the hair and leave in conditioner type
Scalp massager - yes. Any massage you do to the scalp is good as it promotes blood flow.
I feel like we're hair twins...i have wavy hair, recently quit the curly girl method because it made me feel disgusting, and now i'm sleeping with socks in my hair every night to get nice heatless curls 🤣
Yes! Do you xx
Eyyy that’s me.
Roll your hair, think Cersei Lanister, into two twists on each side, twisting away from your face then crossing them back twist over front twist. Then spritz it with water to set. If you wet it first, it never dries. Gently uncross, then run fingers gently through the twists. Makes great beach waves. I actually do the top, then both sides.
@@BBMc107 oh, wetting the hair AFTER tying it! Thank you so much!
Maybe could you explain why you quit the curtly go method? I think I have the same hair type so I want to try it out.
I like how she is trying to save the world and good luck on your hair journey!
Please try egg mayonnaise on hair 20 minutes before washing it and it will really help it helped me.
@@user-lf3ez3jf9k MAYO??what did it do?
mayo is eggs, so a protein mask
@@user-lf3ez3jf9k Actually, it's the moisture that's saving your hair and not the protein, because the protein molecules are too big to penetrate the hair shaft.
Being suspicious in the mirror had me cracking up. I felt that ✨
Haha 😂
“She didn't, I imagined it.” 😂
1:47 why did I think those were scissors?? It scared me lol I was like "nooo why is she cutting it?????"

I was never really interested in the idea of beaty channels or ppl trying things or reviewing them but ur channel was really catchy for me. Keep going ❤️
Love from egypt 🇪🇬🌹
thank you that's very reassuring haha xx
Same here :) I watch Isabella for her personality, though I am happy to pick up a tip about beauty related stuff once in a while.
"And they didn't look very good"
Her curls: *are PHENOMENAL* 💖
I love how she replys to all the comments she can!❤❤
Damn the side part looks hella good
thank you!
@@IsabellaDemarko You are welcome love
I’m so happy for you every time your hair turns out good ☺️ great method, I’m definitely gonna try it out. It came out absolutely gorgeous on you ❤️
I remember telling you to do this a million times about a year or more ago. So glad you finally did it and found a way to wear your hair that is non-damaging and looks freaking awesome. I knew it would be great on your hair type. No more bad hair days for you. You need to make this your thing.
I absolutely love this hair style on you . No fizz and the curls looked so hydrated and silky.
Oh my goodness! I tried it out but I was half asleep and was doubting it because all the other heatless curls Ive done were not great. But in the morning I took it out and it was BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU
Such a coincidence. I literally just finished her tutorial now I’m watching yours lol! Also, I escaped the Australian bushfires in the Adelaide hills and lost my home. Thanks Nordgreen for contributing that really means a lot.
Y r u telling us how u lost ur home on a yt vid abt hair
@@thetechexploer8107 because of the sponser
how are you after a year i hope your great 🥰
Oh my goodness! I've been following you since the beginning of your hair journey and this is so exciting for me to see!!
Your hair is literally my hair, you SAVED MY LIFE with all your videos..❣️
Her hair is naturally so pretty. It's such a pretty color. The curls are also so beautiful.
yes! im so happy you tried it, i loved this method. You look stunning as always hun keep it up ❤️
I love this girl !!! I’m actually going to try this when I get five min. I work at the postal service and the holidays have been brutal on my hair.
I hope it goes well! X
Postal sister!!
Ooooooh it looks soooo gooood!! Keep on doing that method 😍😍😍🙌🏼 I have naturally curly thin hair but I am also doing this to my hair because I just love how defined the curls become 🥰
thank you xx
That’s the exact same tutorial I use. I tried the trend when it became tik tok famous but it didn’t work for me. I found Shonaghs video and I love the method! Soooo good. You look beautiful with those curls. Thriving frizzy hair silky all over the globe!
I'm so glad that you found a heatless way to work for your hair texture. Sometime heatless curl sets are the way to go with undefined wavy/curly/kinky hair. I have 4b/c hair, and flat twist outs (essentially the same style you did but more sections and without the towel) are my go-to for defined curls. Your hair looks great and day 2 looks good too. I wonder if you could get 3 days with a little hair spray or gel?
Your hair has gotten so long! The curls turned out so pretty 💕
I feel like i have to share this with you, since I found your videos so helpful. I have the same hairtype as you, even if I tend to be a little wavier. The thing that helped me the most was the Yellow keratin Liss treatment, which is an anti-frizz treatment . Not damaging, but a lot messy to do, it made the biggest difference for me!
I'm so glad this worked for you!
hi, i know you might not see this but you’re an inspiration to me, the first video i’ve watched of you was your hair length story and it really made me think about my hair and all of those hair types. i’d also always had a passion for long hair and this year my hair grew waist length and i was really happy and wanted it longer down my hips but then after quarantine my ends went so thin with so much split ends and yet still super long soo i really wasn’t sure what to do but i then recently gained confidence and i thought that i have way better features rather than just my long desired length but not desired hair type so finally TODAY i cut it like the length you cut yours like cher horowitz and i really hope to take good care of it like you’ve been with yours and i’ll focus on the quality of my hair and with patience let it grow to how i want it:)
Ah finally! I've been waiting for you to try this!
This look so good, I'm soo going to try this! I had never heard of robe (curls before. The curls I get from scruncing my hair according to the CG method gives me such weird, square-ish curls. This looks so much better! I'll try this in combination with CG products.
The result is amazing
I'm sorry but I don't know why, but you remind me of Rose from the Titanic 😂❤️ it's super cute and I'm living for it❤️
Finallyyyyy i wanted you to try this for so long 😍
I love it even more after the gym and the next day!!
Yeayyy! Your hair looks so good ❤
Love your headings correcting yourself 😂❤️
You look amazing. I'm really happy for you that it worked so well! ❤️
thak you x
I do have naturally curly hair but when I'm lazy or in a hurry I just wet it and twist it and keep it overnight and it really gives the most defined beautiful curls ever I really recommend and you don't need any rope or anything. 💜
I’ve tried things like this is doesn’t work quite as well for me
@@IsabellaDemarko yeah maybe braiding your hair might make your waves more defined but everybody's hair is different and your hair is beautiful btw ❤️❤️❤️
It turned out so good!
i think it turned out super good! i tried it too my hair is still a little too short but i’m gonna try it in a few months again when my hair is longer!
your hair looks amazing!!
OMG IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!
You should try it the same day you wash your hair too, usually dirty hair holds curls better
WOAH IT LOOKS SO GOOD ❤️ and its so effortless to style!
Love the second day hair 😍
I do this quite often and what helps it hold even better is if you put a bit of curling mousse in your damp hair after you've twisted it in place!
I love how you try things out for us! Also the Hermione caption... so true! I get the same thing.
I've seen multiple girls use Shonah Scott and that's how I learned how to do it. And I sleep with it and use a silk head scarf as well. And fold the robe tie in half, that'll make it easier. My hair no matter what I do tends to get dry or frizz so to avoid the dry ends I blow dry it but leave it damp and add anti-frizz argan oil through my hair. It stays for 2 or 3 days sometimes.
I love your video. You are also so informative and helpful. I never get tried of watching your video.Your voice so soothing
thank you so much lovely :)
It also helps to prep the hair with some curl defined or gel etc like a curly girl would. Really helps keep them frizz free.
So funny, this video is sponsored by nordgreen, I just discovered them a few weeks ago and treated me to a rose gold watch, I loooove the design!
They are lovely :)
she's such a moodddd😭🤣💛
Never tried this method, but Shona Scott has the best method!😻
She is fantastic and was a pleasure to watch her video!
Lovely! 😍I always wrap the hair around a satin/silk scarf. This makes removal super easy, as it pulls right out, without frizzing the curls. Then you gently separate them afterwards and style as wanted🥰
Do satin bonnets prevent frizz when you do the heatless curls?
@@DIAMOND-rl6vz Definitely, pillows and hair bonnets made from satin is recommended to people with curls to prevent most of the frizz. I have friends with curls who use them
Hi Isabella! Your videos are relatable, I've been on hair journeys as well, over many many years. I've watched a few of your videos a while back (before I had my channel and/or a youtube account) and just subscribed this morning!
I've been doing heatless curls somewhat similar to this using a combination of robe braids and flexi rods and have had similar and manageable results.
Definitely love doing experiments now and then on a day off at home (especially in case they don't work out lol!) so would definitely love to give this one a try! Haven't gotten a chance to try robe curls, and I've seen Shonagh's video as well... both these videos have inspired me to give it a go! Thank you!
Fawn
😊❤👍
ur hair at the end looks amazinggg
OMG this is so easy and mine look soooo good, thanks for the tip 🤩
Omg it looks so good! Ima have to try it
thank you x
This is what I always do to make sure my curly hair looks better and manageable..literally how I tame my curls 😁
it looks so lovely!! its funny because i do this same style but in a different way! my hair comes out looking light night and day
I’m so excited to try this 😭
omg thank you for this video. I have hair that goes past my butt and I'm always looking for ways to make it curly
The more I see you with that necklace the more I fall in love with it! So pretty 🥺💕
Ahh thank you :) I was inspired by Elle woods in legally blonde
I just love her accent!
It looks beautiful! 😍
What kind of serum did you use?
It worked great.
I have similar waves so I'd like to try it. Thanks.
DIY dry shampoo hack, corn starch. It’s my life saver and I add coco powder because I have dark hair.
This has nothing to do but you're sooo pretty! and the curls suit you so well. I'm going to try this.
Something that I have used for years now to help preserve and maintain curls bounce and their basic shape is Liz earles hair oil! you just put a small amount on your fingers and gently run it through and watch the curls bounce back! :D I always use this method with that oil on second day curls! I hope this helps
Enjoyed this ❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄
merry christmas to you too
Your hair looks amazing in the beginning of the video too
awesome...I will definitely try this
when i see you i literally every time think how good you would look with red ginger hair 👩🦰
Thank you!
Your hair has grown alot since the last time i watched your videos!
I love it! And have yet to try this
Wow it really looks amazing!! Maybe I will try it too
it was definatelly worth it ! x
This is gorgeous!! 😍 I'm super curious about the serum you're using, I'd love to know what product it is! 💕✨
Your hair is really pretty Isabella ☺️
thank you x
Your hair is looking nicely hydrated! I’m curious what finally worked to make it not look so dry????
Wooowwww those curls are a success!!
yaay! it looks awesome
I'm definitely gonna do this hack again when I go on another camp trip 🙃
I love this girls voice😌
This method is top for wavy hair and your hair are Amazing now!!! If you always use some really good bio product for the leave in and a really good product for the styling (maybe something not so heavy and that doesn't make hair look greasy) the frizz effect disappear!!!
It looks SO good! Love your gorgeous, bouncy curls, it suits you so very much! All the best to you, dear Isabella, and Merry Christmas to you, your family and your fans! :) :) :)
They look so pretty♡♡♡♡♡
Thank´s for the great video!! Which serum did you use? :)
Great video and wow your hair is so beautifull😍😍
Girl.... great job... looking flawless as Ever ❤️
Thank u a lot for this!! Will cut my hair in a few weeks, why not have some fun with it before that right? Much love!!❤️❤️
You have kinda similar hair as me. What helps me a lot when I do no heat curls, is instead of spraying with just water, I mix in apple cider vinegar. One part apple cider vinegar and 3parts water. It gives a lot of shine and takes care of the friz, the curls old a lot better. Huge game changer! Oh I definitely am gonna try out these curls. They look great!!
acv is amazing, i'm going to do a rinse tonight! x
Can you drop the new hair care routine pls 🥺
YOU ARE SOOOOOO FUNNY AND LOVELY!! 😂💕
Please tell me where I can get that necklace it’s so pretty 😍 also your hair came out amazing!!
Your hair looks SO healthy! :D
That looks amazing. I wish you had described what you were doing. I image you picked up hair like a french braid? You are so upbeat. Keep posting.
brb gonna go try this 👀
That's almost how I do my hair (same "principle"). I usually wash it in the morning, and then I separate it in 6 sections (I have a lot of hair lol) and roll them in curls with my finger. Because my hair is a tiny bit wavier, it stays like this if it's wet (but when it was shorter I couldn't make it stay, so I used some rubber sticks thing to roll the hair around and clipped the ends on the stick thing). Then i leave it like that until it dries naturally, apply some serum and it's ready!
This allows me to BRUSH my hair the next morning (I leave it in loosen braids for 20 min after) and the curls STAY!! They last about 2 or 3 days and then I wash my hair again.
@@KK-cn6jv not really, my hair just stays that way, but clipping might help to make it stay as well! It's really hard to explain it by writing instead of showing 😅 but it's not rolled up, just rolls around itself.
Commented this on your last video, BUT please try sock curls! I have naturally unruly wavy thick hair and it helps tame and form my waves/ curls
