- make fortify alcemy gear equip it. make fortify restoration potion, drink it. unequip and re equip your gear make more powerful fortify restoration potion. make sure to stop at around 50,000% fortify restoration or you might crash the game. once high percentage fortify alcemy gear has been reached make fortify enchanting potion, drink it, make insane smithing ring. you can now power level smithing as much as you like.

Craft a fortify smithing potion via the fortify restoration glitch and improve a piece of gear to legendary at the workbench and you can level smithing to 100 in one shot.
Or you can enchant an OP fortify smithing ring so you don't have to keep making potions 🤓👍
@@1337ofDiscreet1 Yup, my preference is to use the restoration loop to make enough enchanting potions to enchant alchemy gear, then use the alchemy gear to make any further enchanting potions needed to make smithing gear as well as armor of invulnerability. Unlike armor and magic resistance being capped, the health regeneration is not capped, so any regenerate health above say 10k% will prevent anything other than a one-shot kill. You can also make regenerate stamina gear to allow full-time sprinting and power attacks. The overall effect is so OP I don't bother enchanting weapons with anything other than soul trap.
Another fun thing to do with OP potions is to make 14-day water breathing potions or fortify conjuration/alteration potions to make your spells last pretty much forever (several hours of IRL time is possible).
I prefer to do things without exploits.
@@mokaakashiya375 I'll admit that making your guy invincible with fortify restoration is a bit to far.. but using thos for conjugation to basically have a second companion is pretty cool and not hard to role play with that. Some exploits are ok.

I once made a character with the explicit purpose of taking the crafting system as far as it could go WITHOUT abusing the Fortify Restoration bug, and seeing if I could one-shot the Ebony Warrior on Legendary without resorting to sneak attacks or Marked for Death. You can use potions to improve enchantments and enchantments to improve potions, but this system has built-in diminishing returns, so it'll eventually cap out.
Long story short, I had to break out every means I could find of improving enchantments, smithing, and potions, got every damage-increasing power and potion I could think of, became a vampire, and ultimately got a combination of items, skills, powers, weapon, and the most damaging attack type, in order to do over 40,000 damage in a single blow, which is what is needed to kill the Ebony Warrior on Legendary. Boldly I strode up to him and unleased my ultimate blow-
-and then his Heavy Armor capstone perk - which provides a 10% chance to reflect incoming damage - kicked in.
Afterwards I realized that I could have gotten away with VASTLY less damage if I'd just gone for a Warhammer and taken the perk which reduces enemy armor effectiveness.
I tried the same thing but my journey was to make the highest fortify des cost. I got it up to 40% but with vampirism plus necromage I got to 50 percent exactly. Then I realized I could get 0 percent magic cost on everything. So long story short my character is the ultimate mage
Edit: the emporers guard helmet(the black leather one) has the glitch where you can wear a circlet Allowing for 10 ench slots. Each with 50% magica reduction in a school.

I can't seem to go past 30% better alchemy. But by using both a talker helmet and a circlet as well as neck jewelry and bracers and rings I managed to make a dragon bone sword that does 1000 damage when improved in the grindstone after using 4 pieces of equipment with the fortify smithing enchantment at 30% each and a 160% fortify smithing potion... What did you do to go that far without exploits? Are you a vampire? So that way the necromancer perks makes all potions more powerful
@@HuguitoBonito I used the vampire necromage, the secret of sorcery and ahzidals set. I also found that the pentitus oculatus helmet can be worn with a circlet so I had an extra enchantment slot for making weapons and armour
Should've just named it, "How to make broken enchants with the fortify restoration trick" as this method works for any enchantment and not just smithing.

@@Loki-fi4qi I bet there is. Still this glitch is gamebreaking for me so I wouldn't use it even if it was not fixed. As for power leveling there are ways to level up very fast indefinitely without using bugs.

@@Loki-fi4qi Well the thing is that there is no barrier here. Wherever you put it it will break the game. Even playing in legit way on legendary difficulty my character needs a few swings to defeat almost any enemy.
For those who hate opening and reopen the inventory you can favorite the item instead. Console is Y/Triangle button and to access favorites press the Up Directional Pad and you’ll see them. Press with X/A button to equip and unequip, best thing for this it pauses everything in the background so you don’t have to worry wasting the duration on the potion.
This also saves time ALOT more than you expect. Also with the old duplication method you can dupe the money making potions for easy coin, same for upgraded gear for selling as well.
Nice vid to show this trick. One problem with doing this is you become so powerful, the game ceases to be fun. It's fun to do this just for the sake of doing it, but if you play with all that power, the game is over because the challenge is gone. It's not the kill, but the thrill of the chase that makes this game.
is a way to become powerful without resorting to the loop and being ridiculously OP? Would it be by abandoning the fortify restoration potions?
When I see people do this I just kind of wonder "why not just hit tgm in the console?"
@@SherrifOfNottingham because you can't use console commands on consoles only on PC, and you want to have fun breaking the game after a proper playthru? Some folks have odd ways of playing elder scrolls games lol.
I remember when Morrowind first came out on the original XBox (the big black block with an X on its top) there was a bunch of players who would play differently.
There were some that would run permadeath (before it was a thing in games) by never using the saves (you could turn off save on rest, save on level up, save on wait and save on travel. Most folks did that anyway, but used manual save to reduce the glitches and bugs) never saving and just starting over whenever they died.
One guy on a forum was treading water in the sea off the coast (in game) while on his PC to ask some questions there (real early gameFAQs days lol)
So doing these alchemy glitches aren't a new thing, most just wait till after beating the game legit to break the frell out of it XD

@@SherrifOfNottingham not really. So many people couldn't afford a PC back in those days. They often had to share with little/older brothers/sisters as well, unlike today where a toaster can run skyrim lmao, and most kids have smartphones for entertainment.
Got to say that many console folks upgraded to PC to get mods for morrowind, so its not all bad.
Think of console TES as 'baby's first unmodded' and it makes sence more 😊

Carrying on the Morrowind tradition of breaking the game with alchemy.
In oblivion my friend had his guy so fast he could run across water and jump into the clouds.. The game couldn't handle it, it had to keep loading in all the new areas. On xbox360 no mods just alchemy and enchants. I never played morrowind but I always thought the magic and crafting in skyrim didn't compare.
Got to love the resto loop. I got insane almost world breaking potions and gear with it.

I did this process 10 times and ended braking the game with an over half a million smithing ring and alteration ring then the game became insanely easy even on hardest difficulty
that's why whenever I play I never use any fortify enchanting potions, prefer going with base enchants. its still possible to get 100% magic cost reduction or massively increased weapon damage, so if i went any over that point it would make the game way too easy

I'm surprised many people in comments didn't know about this. It's called restoration loop, and is a glitch/exploit. Don't use it if you're aiming for clean play, max drink 1 restoration potion and directly make the ench pot, but dont start the loop of crafting another restoration potion with the boost.
I agree, but the devs should've never made fortify restoration affect alchemy anyway, it makes no sense and feels like a bug itself
I personally try to play skyrim without glitches or exploits. I find its immersion breaking when you're 1 shoting everything on legendary difficulty.
I find legendary difficulty pretty immersion breaking, bandit with iron sword one shots you through your upgraded steel armor set while your upgraded nordic longsword chips away at their health through their hide armor.
But that's why I install things like Requiem, Morrowloot, Skyre or may other unlevelers. Legendary difficulty is literally just a damage modifier, you do less damage and enemies do more damage, there's nothing more immersion breaking than the same gear doing less damage because you're the one holding it.

Hey dude nice vid! I was just wondering. What ingredients do you need and what skills do I need to unlock to do this stuff
cyradillic spadetail/abacean longfin + salt pile for fortify restoration potion, snowberries + blue butterfly wing for fortify enchant potion. you need at least 3 points in alcemy(i reccomend 4 points so the process doesn't take to long) + physician and benefactor. you also need 4 points in enchant + insightful enchanter. also Grand soul gems are a must you can steal them from dawnstar invisible chest near mine entrance. (Warning save before attempting the fortify restoraton loop because if you make an item too powerful you will crash the game).
Azure star only works once. So what? One item... SMH.

@@calkestis-ov5wi If you go to the riften docks, talk to the argonian female and give her a health potion that she asks for, you can loot all the barrels on the docks and inside the fishery for all the spadetalils, longfins and salt pile without them being marked as stolen.

I do use that method, but i never go overboard with it, i only add around 500 to 1000( health, stam, magic, regen, picking) to my self, anything beyond that kinda feel mehhh
@@lawsen3719 im a bow user, and all that enchantment IS ON MY SUIT means when i get up lvl 70 im going to change the suit, its not for always, fyi im lvl 225 and my game on legendry hardness, i still enjoy my game im not that hard to kill. 🤷🏻♂️

@@syafiqmasduki as i recall your numbers will go to millions but if your numbers hit (-) means you went overload, reload save and do it again, in all ( you need a ring to make it ur alchemy ring right (that ring must be between 5k to 2k) for you to make enchanting potions that add around 1 to 3k to what ever you need /if you are doing the glich and you think oh yeah goal reached let me do the fortify enchanting now so i can make a ring (for you to know you did it right (make ur self 1 last fortify restoration but dont drink it. Make your fortify enchanting and wait 1min so the effect ends and ull see the result of how much that potion is actually good. (if its good do the enchanting, but if it still low, you already have one last fortify restoration to continue with till u hit ur goal)

You only need to do it with one piece of armor that enchantment does not stack.

I don't think this works anymore. Just tried on ps5. Made the fortify restoration potion. Took the alchemy gear on and off and it stayed the same %
since the ring you used to enhance smithing was stolen, wouldnt it be taken by the guards if you got arrested?

If done currently you can get an over %500,000 better alchemy
insanely strong! I've used those kind in the dark brotherhood quest as poisoning doesn't add to your bounty in a hold for reverse pick-pocking.
To be honest, you don't need such exploits to get powerful weapons. My alchemy and smithing potions max out at +46% and +183% and I'm still able to craft 1H or 2H weapons with around 1000pt damage and took out enemies in split seconds at legendary difficulty.
How dose the restoration bug work
How does the Fortify Restoration potion make your alchemy improve? I'm confused.
It's basically an oversight in the code as the game considers restoration as any buff or increase to a "beneficial" effect (i.e. increase in effectiveness of alchemy, smithing, etc.)
@@nytesiege Yeah it seems like a leftover from oblivion where the Fortify spells were considered restoration spells. Skyrim doesn't have Fortify skill spells unless you use mods, but this process is treated as if it was a spell or enchantment rather than an alchemical effect.

I made 1 ring and 1 necklace with destruction spells cost %50 less on both, but they don’t last drop back down to %20. Am I doing something wrong?
after the fortify restoration potion wears off the percentage will drop so just wait 30 seconds before enchanting and you will see the true number.
@@calkestis-ov5wi thanks! I realized that equipping the item right after enchanting, the % will stay that way in your active effects. When you check your apparel, the % dropped, just as long as you keep the item on, it’ll last. For me this is good enough as I dont wanna be too op. I’ll jus keep the one ring on the rest of game lol

if strong enough, can make uber powerful. I like the look of the FLAMES spell, but its super weak. Use restoration glitch to make magic spells as power as you want and toast your enemies in their shoes in seconds.
after watching this video, i did exactly the same and i make a lot of those enchanting potions and i keep those in a container. when i go to the container like weeks later ingame, all of the potions just... gone. did i do something wrong?
some containers respawn after a certain amount of time only store important things in a container in one of your owned houses I lost 85 iron ingots because i stored them in a barrel outside of the blacksmiths place.

are you using any bug fixing mods? some of them are notorious for things like this.
That potion glitch has been known for many years. Why didn't you make a dozen fortify enchanting potions while you could?

How does this glitch work exactly? Restoration skill does not affect alchemy
The only explanation I can think of is that it has something to do with the Necromage perk in the Restoration tree. It gives you stronger spell potency if you are a vampire, including enchantments. It seems as is if, somehow, the Restoration potions are buffing the Alchemy enchantments which enable the player to craft even stronger potions, rinse and repeat.
It's basically a software coding bug, the developer failed to properly handle the various different combinations of the skill modifiers. Not to blame them as it can be extremely difficult to catch such bugs in the testing phase.
Does this still work currently with anniversary edition? I'm on console if that matters. Just finished enbarshard mine and got the alteration spell to turn iron into gold so I am about to level up my smithing and I have tons of ingredients to start leveling alchemy. I have a few powered up soul gems or whatever they are called, but not enough to make a lot of enchantments. But this seems like a super shortcut! Like and sub 👍🏻
yes this does work on anniversary edition last time i checked a month ago.
I got a better idea, make a smithing ring, necklace, potion and full outfit, have full upgraded smithing skills and keep building better and better smithing outfit, ring, necklace, equip each set each time after making new set, eventually smithing a weapon with a super high smithing outfit will create a 1 hit kill weapon for any weapon, even a spoon, and armour that makes you invulnerable. Give it a try.

Even in Legendary mode, a 1000pt damage weapon with enchantment (1H or 2H) is enough to kill the toughest dragon, e.g. Alduin, in less than a second. Do we really need such exploits?
I played on the PS4 without any mods or hacks, my enchanting potion is at +46%, smithing potion at +183%, smithing & alchemy gears at +35%.

By the way my Lvl 61 Mage has armour rating with Dragonscale armour is over 1000 and weapon damage of 300 with 66 fire enchanment and soul trap (Highest without cheats) D/Scale Gauntlets 1 and 2 handed damage of 66 damage , My main character on Xbox 360 (Spell Sword) Has over 2000 armour rating with Dragon Scale armour and a Dragonscale Sword of 474 damage with 57 fire damage with 46 stamina Absorbion per hit, 1 handed weapon damage Gauntlets of 55 damage, stamina regen on boots and helmet, Magika regen on helmet armour and ring, health regen on necklace, and I beat Ebony Warrior with 3 hits, died first-time time though cos I couldn't hit him on the slope. I'm a God now no cheating or exploits needed. I'm not sure why i can get higher stats on Special Edition however as I'm using the same techniques? Both werewolves.

Kinda breaks the immersion😂 would suck to have fount this trick while playing and it end up ruining the game for someone, I got the ebony sword that like absorbs health so you like never die in combat even tho the sword is weak because it constantly heals you and I swear it completely ruined the game for me, I realized it soon after finishing the main story it was a mistake, as though I didn’t really play right even tho those swords are items you can get in the game, there just to game breaking, it’s like you gotta go out of your way somtimes to keep the immersion, like you gotta nerf yourself and that’s pretty weird to do sense you want to be as powerful as you can be
WARNING AFTER YOU DO THIS IT JUST MAKES THE GAME BORING AND TEDIOUS (like trying not to use the dup glitch in oblivion when you have no gold once you know how to do it lmao)
You can always store all your items and make every skill legendary, start from 0.

What's the catch
It is a software bug so basically no catch.
Although if you repeat too many times creating a number too big it willl cause the game to crush as the coding wasn't able to handle the overly large figure.
Overkill best i did was to give every piece of equipment i can weare 100% this is too much lol
Is is nice glitch but i don't see any reason why to have 55000% , everything would be so easy , just lets say make damage on bow like 1000-2000 for example and increase difficulty.
yeah I don't realy use glitched weapons that much I mainly use a legit 1500 damage dragonbone crossbow (anniversary edition made crossbows the most powerful stealth weapon in skyrim)
Finally i decided to only use potions and other things which i can get without glitches and of course increased difficulty to have more fun

Yes it does, but it seems many guys like to feel powerfull through exploits. I'm not sure there is any other pleasure to play anymore once you go on that sort of cheats.
@@astree214 Exactly. If a legendary dragon can stand there and bite you and shoot elements at you and you don't take damage, there's no point to the game.

Yeah great, but I would never use the Restoration loop as you don't need to cheat to become a powerful Mage, Spell Sword or Thief build, I can kill everything in the game at Lvl 60 with light armour and normal enchanted weapons and armour and take big blows with little damage without it, it's for lazy people only, I just let bandit's hit me and they barely do any damage as I regenerate health as quick as they hit me, but if you wanna power level then go ahead, just not for me, Sorry.
this was on my secondary character that i do exploits with. on my main character i didn't use a single exploit and became an unstopable enchanted swordsman with a 1.5k damage madness sword

@@rayspore extreme min maxing through fortify enchanting potions, fortify smithing potions, fortify alchemy potions and fortify smithing gear ,alchemy gear and enchanting gear. also the only way i pushed the damage that high is by enchanting the penetus oculatus helmet and a circlet and wearing both at once because that helmet has a unique effect that allows you to wear a circlet underneath it.
Thanks again, but noticed fortify Alchemy potions, which is not possible in normal game, (only with Ring, necklace, hat and gauntlets) I have maxed out Alchemy with those items and Enchanting with Azibals oufit aswell 10% and Black book boost and my highezt damage was 66, I will try the helmet you mentioned and try to boost it, thanks for info, fun video.

yeah I only did this glitch on my secondary save. my main save (khajit male) Has a dragonbone sword that does 1.3k damage legit by abusing enchanting, alchemy, smithing, vampirism+ necromage and herma moras black books.

RESTORATION????????? Please enlighted the poor, woefully ignorant me, what does the magic School of Restoration have to do with alchemy or potion creation? What else is there that will potentially cause me to flunk any exams at The College of Winterhold or at any other mages guild in Tamriel?
restoration potions are bugged in skyrim and actually fortify any fortify skill boosting item because skill boosting is actually considered restoration magic.
@@calkestis-ov5wi The fact you found out about this, indicates you have rather extensive, detailed knowledge about Skyrim lore. I thought Restoration was all about wards, fixing hitpoint losses, curing diseases (can you even find that as a spell anywhere in Skyrim?), fending off undead etc.
@@calkestis-ov5wi Also, this was good news in many ways. I mean it is no longer an issue if you have difficulty finding daedric bow and/or ebony/daedric arrows. I mean no longer any need to squander very rare, expensive, high end arrows like them. Just put on that ring, improve just about ANY bow with an appropriate ingot and then, dont tell the merchant even an iron arrow is more powerful in your hands than 88mm anti-aircraft ammunition or they will make you pay a pretty penny even for lowest tier arrows.

This technique is so broken!! As in it seriously breaks the game. No,really, it broke my game (on the switch). I crafted some gear that went over 1000% to smithing and the game crashed.
Skyrim is more fun and more logical to play if you stop your leveling at 15 to 20.. everyting nake sense. No one shot killing bear no one shot killin trolls or giants.. But its hard thing to do for players who sees power
