  • Skyrim is a game with no shortage of activities and interesting things for the Dragonborn to do. However, after over eight years, many players may finally be beginning to feel as though The Elder Scrolls 5 is running out of things to do alas. Thankfully, Bethesda paid an incredible attention to detail when developing Skyrim and there still remain a handful of opportunities for entertainment that much of the community has yet to discover. So today, we'll be taking our 21st look at five things you (probably) didn't know you could do in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

    As a game designer I can assume, that those logs do not disapear, but rather move to their initial location so the player can cut them again. The "move" word is quite important. Logs do not teleport there, they move with very, very high speed, and that's why they can push objects with that much of a force. I may be wrong, but I think that it would be the easiest to do it this way.

    • @robertoferraz5282
      @robertoferraz5282 Před 9 měsíci +12

      a bit late here, but yeah, objects MOVE at very very high speed, it easier that way than applying a destroy code on the object and another code to spawn another copy of that object everytime. Its "optmized" that way xD

    The reason vegetable soup let’s you infinitely power attack is because you can power attack as long as your stamina isn’t at exactly 0. Hey, I discovered something that I don’t think you have covered yet. When the graybeards teach you whirlwind sprint just after you learn the first word (or second word depending) if you have a dragon soul available you can quickly go into the magic menu and use the soul to unlock it. This will make it it so that when Borri gives you his knowledge of the shout he will actually teach and unlock the next word in the shout. This can also be done when Partysnacks teaches you fire breath.

    There was another way to get rid of NPCs that even worked on Essentials. It was a particular Raise Dead spell (I forget which). Equip it to both hands, charge both individually, then release them at an NPC, one immediately following the other. Do it right, and it will turn the NPC into ash, though the game still registers them as being alive. Having gotten back into Skyrim after a few years, I have no idea if this was ever discovered and patched or not.

Bullet hell games do this & a lot of open world games too. It’s more performance friendly to move the object away and Re use it than to create and destroy instances. It’s pretty cool to see it in action via dead bodies

    Nate, I'm not sure if you still do these, but I just found some tiny details that might be interesting. After Stormcloaks win the civil war, killing Penitus Occulotus isn't illegal, and if you lure Commander Marro out of the P.O. outpost, Stormcloak guards at Dragons Bridge will come to your rescue. Next, if you go to the Thalmor Embassy in a Penitus Occulotus uniform after completing the main quest, Thalmor do not attack you. They may make snide remarks, but they will not attack you unless you attack them. However, even if you change back to any other clothes/armor before going anywhere, any location with Stormcloak troops will attack you, as if word traveled that you're a traitor. These details suggest the writers intended the Empire really was powerlessly subservient to the Dominion, and these happen even if you complete the alternative quest "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood" instead of joining them.

    I recall one time I was in Sovengard, just before the fight with Alduin, I managed to fling the three Nordic heroes off into the sea. About ten seconds later, the three of them reemerged from the mead hall, but they were frozen in a T-pose, and face down on the ground. It was quite odd, seeing them glide along the ground to their positions, turn their bodies around to each other for their speaking parts, and then shout into the floor for the remainder of the actual fight. Sadly, I couldn't get Tsun to join them on the ground. Oh well.

    There are several items with the vegetable soup effect, for example Crab Bisque.
    There is also a MUCH quicker and better fortify enchanting loop in the game. Create a potion of fortify restoration (while you have some items equipped to improve alchemy). Drink the potion, unequip and re-equip the items and repeat. This will strengthen the items alchemy improvement. each time you do it, they get stronger. After only a handful of repeats of this process you will be able to create IMMENSELY powerful potions for anything. A few days ago I created some Fortify Alchemy potions so powerful that drinking just one took me from level 16 to level 100 alchemy (after I'd made it legendary to take it back down to 16), earning several perk points in the process!
    Be careful though, this will spoil your game by making everything far too easy. Nice to play with though and you can always simply stop using the super potions and items you create this way and simply return to your normal game.

      Always. And I haven't even really played it all that much in comparison (roughly 714hrs logged so far), but every time I start up a new save, there's always something new that I never really noticed about the game before. Of course, having the Alternate Start: Live Another Life mod kinda helps point them out, but still.
