Where have you been. Been needing my boat building fix
Sorry bro. I’m back to regular posting schedule, but I’m gonna be cranking out 2 vids a week instead
I cant wait to see the boat in the water it looks amazing.
Thx bro! Can’t wait to get her in the water as well
Good to see you back at it and making good progress. Looking forward to more videos as the work progresses. Have a good week.
Thank you, enjoy your week as well
So fun to watch your journey on this beautiful boat!!
bro i legit re-searched your channel yesterday because i was wondering if i missed the next episode. welcome back boss!
excellent progress, and a bit of humour too.....
Great to see you get back to the boat. Looking Très bon 😘👌 2x👍
how did you build that I'm very impressed
I'm subscribed as well
Thank you! My tip for building something like this... just start.
put a lot of epoxy in. a lot. Then make a pool in the center of it. you will find holes easier that way and you learn were to put the pump
nice to see the journey continue👍
Great work! Maybe slap some epoxy over the outside of the bottom, to cover the screws you put in there. It will prevent your boat rotting away within a year. ;-)
When I add the keel, everything we be covered with epoxy and fully sealed.
Me and my son just binge watched all of your sailboat videos. Can’t wait to see the finished product! You’re inspiring us to build one by next summer!
Love to hear this! Sorry for the late response but I highly encourage you two to start a project like this. Even though it's been taking me forever to finish, I've loved every step so far. Thanks for your comment!
excellent
Glad your back at it. Been waiting forever for a new episode!
Sorry that you've waited this long. I have a lot on my plate but I'll be explaining what's been going on in a future vid (which should be posted next weekend.)
@@JackWood25 I’ll look out for it
I loved the montage, haha. You really got a lot done in a couple days!
It was difficult but 100% worth it!
Nice
I swear, half the weight of this boat is screws 😂
Dude, you don't need to fill your boat with holes 😂 The fibreglass holds it all in place, especially if you fibreglass it all as one piece. Its super strong.
So, so proud of you!
You’re sailboat is beautiful, and I’m inspired to make my own sailboat because of you.
That's awesome! The main point of my channel is to motivate others to pursue these types of projects. If you do end up making your own, I wish you luck. It's one hell of a journey!
Love the progress. Looking good. 👍😎
Thank you!
very nice
I was worried. thanks god you are okey.
I am indeed okay. More videos are on the way!
I don't know if you have a lot of french viewers like me, but i liked the try to speack french :)
Love your videos !!!
Thank you! My French is not the best but I’m practicing
Actually, it was not bad, keep practicing, and you will be really good soon. :)
Merci pour tes videos qui respirent la bonne humeur !
Don’t give up on it mate the boat looks great and when it’s done you will never regret it, you will want to build another one trust me I’m onto boat number 3
His father must be so proud
nice video! i will be so happy to see the finished boat, great work
This is a very interesting and entertaining video…but i am curious as to where the centre or dagger board is going to be placed, cheers Roly🇬🇧.
The keel is going to the built separately then bolted underneath. I still need to do some planning.
Finally also first
Just found the channel, this is a great video, transitions were neat, jokes were subtle and funny, can't wait to see you sail 👍
Good to see some progress being made!
I love watching this series! I want to make something cool with my friends sometime so this is inspiration! Keep uploading please 🙏🏻
Thanks for your comment! Hope that you and your friends make something cool. More vids should be coming out next weekend. Sorry for the long wait.
@@JackWood25 thank you for replying, also the long wait is fine because the videos are always amazing
Oh my, the boat is getting heavier & heavier. First boat is always a learning trial. Many screws in bottom of boat, yikes. Beautiful lines, great selection of design plans. At a certain point everyone gets tired of boat work & just want to get on the water.
I'm already at that point. Wish she was floating right now. It's not perfect by any means but I've learned a lot. Hopefully the next build will be much better.

i love the new style you run with this video. It caught me off guard when I watched this. 🤜🤛
Awesome! That was the plan when editing. Trying to change it up.
Great video! :)
just a tip when doing fiberglass on square corners, make a fillet of thickenned epoxy in there to round it out first, your fiberglass will follow the curve better and be less of a pain to work with :)
Not to mention stronger.. as in "it won't break" stronger.
The hull would look beautiful in medium blue.
Hmmmm.... I like. I'm going to make a separate video in the future ultimately letting you guys choose the color.
pretty cool
I watched a few of your videos and Best one yet. I enjoyed the on spot POV, blurry shots, pointless random acts included, Raw non scripted, non sponsor plugs crap CZcams has become accustom to becoming the new HGTV
🥺😢😩🫣🤭
Keep creating those memories with your buddies and one day will understand that it processes the highest value this thing we call Earth has to offer.

Try star drive deck screws.
Looking good well done !
Thank you!
Wow finaly i cant wait to next part❤
WOO! ITS BACK!
Waiting for the first sailing on this boat! Greetings from Ukraine!
Thanks for your comment! Can't wait to get her in the water.
Please do everything you can to piss people off. That's hilarious!! What a bunch of idiots. 😂😂 She's looking good!!
What plans is your boat off of? And what size and type keel are you planning?
The plans are from Duckworks.com. Also regarding the keel, I've actually finished building it, I just need to edit the video. The keel is about 5 feet long and weighs about 375 pounds. I go into more detail throughout the vid which should be posted soon!
Hi Jack, nice to see a new video ! so adding keel supports for the one in steel i draw ?
Hello. Thanks for your comment. Regarding the keel, I did see your plans that you sent me. I have a few questions about it but I will send you an email sometime soon. I also need to plan some things out first but helpfully, it'll be the next step.
Are you planning on having an inboard engine or outboard engine?
Yooooooo you are back!
did you use closed cell foam so it wont get saturated when if it gets wet? just curious, thank you for sharing :)
did you put in keel or the other under water things well i call them under water wings
how is the weight on the boat?
What is the size of your boat?
She is about 15 feet long and I think 5.5 feet wide
bevel gauge.
Just an idea
Still working on boat?? You seem so close
I am. She is taking much longer than expected. I also have a lot on my plate at the moment but I'm actually going to make a vid tomorrow regarding the build.
11:23 .. dude ?
I know that piece of wood looks like crap. It was there to momentarily hold some decking in place. It provides no structural support whatsoever, just never removed it.
If you dont believe me watch you tube video sailing vessels the bottom line boat projects windows.
is she sea worthy?
No. Lakes and coastal trips only. The ocean would kill this boat without breaking a sweat.
I have no clue to be honest. Still in the building process.
I am planning on taker her in the open ocean but I'm limiting her to to low waves and wind conditions. I have no clue how she'll behave in the water so I have to be careful.
@@JackWood25 - I'm pretty sure that what you're calling 'open ocean' is what I'd call "coastal". Which is to say, no more than approx 20 miles from land.
You're correct. There is a small island close to me, about 26 miles out. That's the farthest I'm willing to sail her.
To be honest, If i was you, i would really sand down the whole boat again and repaint it all again more professionally... the whole painting is a bit to amature...ish...
Every professional Painting has at least 5 Coats...
awesome boat, 3 criticisms
1. please don't become all click bait and cringe
2. STOP CALLING EVERY PEICE OF MATTER UNDER THE SUN "HER" AND "SHE"
3. your humor needs some refinement
again, awesome boat, gonna be amazing once it's in the water
Some criticism:
1. let people be themselves.
2. Keep your criticism to yourself.
3. Learn some people skills
Thanks for you comment. I respect your viewpoints but I'm going to do and act how I want.
Good job. The yachty terms you could use are; the floor of the boat is called the sole. The v birth is the forecastle, pronounced fokesol. The rear storage areas look like quarter births so you can put mattresses in there for the boys on overnighters. I'd insulate that corner table, hinge the lid and add ice to use for the beers, just make sure you put a bung in the bottom to drain.
Thanks for the new vocab. Love the small table idea. I'm probably going to turn it into a small kitchen for food storage.
