All pieces were made from Standard English Porcelain No. 365, bisqued to Cone 04, and fired to Cone 5.
Ann also creates sought after custom mugs that she paints exclusively for individual clients. If you would like to learn how Ann paints - check out her Video Workshop Series here. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318
Oh, by the way. If you wonder why Ann does not use a knife to cut her pottery, please understand that her doctor has recommended she stay away from knives, the stove, electrical outlets, and Fox Squirrels. If you purchase something from the links below, you can help pay for a new pair of rubber scissors for Ann. Thank you from the heart of our bottoms.

Hi Ann. I'm new to ceramics but have always loved the random designs potters do. Your origami pots have inspired me. Thankyou for your generosity of heart in sharing what you know with people like me, who have no experience but can finally find their own unique style through your inspirational tutorials.
How inspiring! I've recently decided to do more slab work. I like combining pieces of wheel and slab. My arthritis is starting to "bark at me" much more and the increased slab work helps my hands feel more comfortable. Seeing how beautiful your slab work is really makes a difference on my perspective to the craft.
Wow! The attention to detail in your pots as well as your incredible art that you put on those pots is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for thinking outside the “box” and helping to inspire our creativity with yours!!
You’re one of the most creative people I follow and that’s saying a lot! Your pieces are always exquisite and it’s a pleasure to watch you work.🐝🤗❤️

Wow, I I am so amazed at how creative you are. I don't even know how you come up with the patterns for these. Your work is always so beautiful and thank you for sharing how to build these containers step-by-step. You are a great teacher.

Beautiful!
Those are so beautiful ♥️
Thank you! 😊
I love these and would love to convert them to oil lamps. I am not very skilled at making lids. I watched your wheel thrown lid video and it had tips I want to incorporate into my work, but would love it if you would make a hand built lid video. On these templates or something else!
Noted! Thanks!
Great work, Ann and thanks for sharing and teaching! How can I get the large mat you work on with concentric circles?
Silicone Pastry rolling mat, lots of examples on Amazon.
@@theabristlebroom4378 Hi Thea. Actually the plastic one work better than the silicon. The silicon ones they sell these days are so flimsy. Thanks for responding. I tried several times to reply but You Tube isnt posting for some reason.
Great looking pieces. How do I get the template patterns?
Hi Priscilla. Look at the description section under the video. Press "SHOW MORE" to see the link to IMGUR for the templates. thanks for watching
Hi Ann, thank you for the tutorial. I'd like to try and make the bud vase, but the templates appear to be pictures, without any measurements?
Hi Angela. I thought about putting measurements on them, but then realized that people would print them out at different measurements depending on what size they want. As long as you print all the pieces out at the same size so that the proportions are the same, they should line up like they do in the video. PS, you can still play around with the width of the sides like I did with the triple bud vase from the small one to the large one. (The taller it got, the narrower I slimmed it ),but the height proportions remained the same. does that make sense.
Thank you for your sharing. Live s as ll the videos. Where do we find the templates to the videos and thank you ❤️
Hi Spin. Look at the description section under the video. Press "SHOW MORE" to see the link to IMGUR for the templates. thanks for watching
I’m loving these videos! What clay do you use?
Standard English porcelain #365
Hi Ann thanks so much for these informative videos. I would love the templates. But I’m not very good with technology. I installed the app and could see them but no idea how to print or use in my cutting machine, please helpxx
The templates are just for printing out on a standard printer - most folks just resize based on how big they want their piece to be.
I’m requesting a video about lids. I’m having a lot of problems with my casserole lids. I’m especially interested in glazing them. I don’t especially like the exposed clay when I do a lid that inserts in the pot and then it seems they always stick when I do a lid that that goes over the pot. Any help would be appreciated
We have a vid on lids...may not be exactly what you are looking for but check it out. We will put your idea regarding the glazing on the idea list...thanks!
How do you keep the slabs moist enough to work with throughout the build process?
I think its mostly the property of the porcelain that I use. I rarely have to rewet clay - I usually just pull it from reclaim or box and go to work!
What temperature/cone do you fire to? Electric, right?
Electric. Bisque 04 Glaze 5 thanks!
Great video! But, how do I download the templates? The link for me just goes to pictures of the templates?
Yep- those are the templates. Folks just screen print and size them to their needs.
where can i find the free templates you mention on 10 best hand building tips
in description.
can we get any measurements on the templates? ?
Hi Richard. I thought about putting measurements, but it really doesnt matter because everyone will print them out at different sizes, right. You can make them bigger or smaller.... As long as you print all the templates out the same size, the proportions should be the same and they should go together like in the video. You can even play around with the widths of the side panels. ( I did that with the taller triple bud vase, I narrowed the wider side panels a bit ) as long as the proportion of the template heights remained constant
Where’s the template ?
