Perhaps you are referring to another Catholic book that has Jesus making clay pigeons and throwing him into the air to become real when he was a boy. Our Bible is not missing books but has left off what is not scripture.
Saved by Grace through faith in Jesus …to Believe in the One He Sent to die to purge our sins, the debt of sin that each of us has spent. Through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ is what saves us..NOT anything we can do ourselves to be saved, it’s what Jesus has already done….what a wonderful loving and caring God we have through his one true precious son.

When I think of the righteousness that was imputed to Abraham just because of his believe in God's promise to him, and that he went to carry on in obedience even when his own wife did not believe and laughed... it gives me so much great joy and hope for the future of all who believe, and act rightly.

The only way to experience the grace of God in the believer's daily life is through the Scripture and the Holy Spirit who uses God's Word to enlighten, comfort and sanctify us once we have come to Christ for redemption and regeneration in faith. Even Baptists believe that baptism is only a public confession of faith nothing more.

There is a church down the street where I lIve. The door is always closed and there is a very large sign outside near the parking lot that reads: condos coming soon. They are turning the parking lot into condos. Also the church has a rainbow flag. This is ridiculous. Money hunger, turning the space into rental Units for profit, yet the door is closed. I wonder where they get the money from. They also own a huge rental property on the street for more income.

We learn from the Bible, not man.
If you step back far enough, what stands out in all this history of the reformation is as simple as an ongoing struggle for the right to think for oneself, which being won finally with the US constitution, is now, once again, being hunted to extinction in the new generation, with their "common core" logic, "critical" race theory, and other thought extinguishing ideology.
But since people thinking for themselves has always been a threat to the abusive powers that be, it's not as surprising that it's being attacked again, as it is surprising that it was ever allowed in the first place. We had a brief period in history where individuals were allowed, in a limited area of the world, to make their own judgments and form their own thoughts on the information available, which was ever essential to any real conversion to Christs Gospel.
Of course everything has an upside and a downside.
Freedom to choose results in disagreement and variation in understanding, while denying the average person the right to accept or reject a belief seems to work better for the group, but ultimately undermines the depth in understanding and degree of conversion of it's individual members.
Given this long standing denial of the right to one's own opinions, and therefore the ability to truly convert to the gospel, you have to wonder how some generations can be judged by the same standards we might be.
Many of these commentators bemoan the lack of "unity" without considering the cost of that 'unity' in terms of the ability to freely accept God's will in their lives, which is the only possibility of honest and thorough conversion. The ministry may feel better about themselves when individuals can't disagree, but they shouldn't be surprised at the lack of more truly committed members under such constraints.

If a person Believes in purgatory, then the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross is invalid. We know that Jesus Christ was crucified for us to be reconciled to God, and conquered death, hell and the grave.
And to not let it harden the heart. However there is much more to it and the message must come out and very clear now. No one is above the law, nor do we practice God’s law. These times are extremely evil, our age of time is based of total fraudulent grammar and lies that took off in the medieval generations and very few even know what the NT and gospels say, that which when and very soon you just know that the word of God is within all man and all man have dominion over the earth. There are people who conceal specific knowledge about the earth and using it to harm when it is to be controlled by truth and used for good. The word of God is adulterated and in everything, and when this is understood then come to the understanding that every man is equal and no stranger. Those that know the truth and time, and have no ties to these lies has the authority over unclean spirits and their unclean deeds. We have been poisoned for many hundreds of years and when this truth is understood you will see the grotesque medical systems for what they are, which is a long history of experiments of all kinds and they generations and being born into this very time while real history has been construed like a theater stage which has been sucking the life of our families for a very long time and now are in a hurry to cover the fact that they are the child sex traffickers running the plandemic and forcing jabs while being already long time made sick and poisoned and radiation. This reality is quite hard to digest. The Bible also speaks of conspiracy oppression sorcery coveting wealth famine which basically is treason of damage to the sacerdotal responsibilities which truly are every mans responsibilities except long time ago they used sorcery on words and believe they have us consenting to this whole reality which is all fraudulent grammar wickedness and they also believe to have put the liability back on us against us and what is a Christian supposed to know is they were supposed to proclaim accountability upon ourselves which keeps each other accountable so that lawful remains in God’s word instead we have a world of mysterious unlawfulness. Havocing the earth. No one wants blood money back, only the money we worked for which has to come back by those who choose to correct themselves. The more lives we lose the worse it gets.
Purgatory helps you stay out of hell.
@@michaelward9167 I beg to differ. Simple belief in Jesus keeps one out of hell. Purgatory does not exist. Please read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Purgatory is not any conception created by the Catholic Church. It is also taught in Judaism and there are books by Jewish writers/ and prophets about it. Thry call it "Genoohsin", in Hebrew.
Secondly, only by believing in Jesus you are not saved. Third, you must obey the Law and as Protestants don't obey it and created their own religion and ideas, they must stay there and not involve with the Catholic Church. You Protestantz decided to leave, so leave for good and let us in peace.
Fourth, you don't have confession neither Eucharisty so it means you are not in communion with Christ either. And as you don't repent and don't confess you have the guilty. You sinned and the guilt is in the Divine Tribunal and you will answer for each sin, act and ommision, word good or bad said, written and blasphemies. There is no way for you to erase your guilt from there but through charity, penitence, repentance and confession. You Protestants don't have any of that.
So, for that reason, when you die you spend even hundreds of years in the purgatory.
And for your information, I know people who had been there and saw it. It is real and it exists. Be ready! You will go there too!
I am as protestant as are you are and don't believe purgatory makes sense from a Biblical perspective. Nevertheless, I also don't think that the specifics of what a person believes about such doctrinal issues defines our salvation. Thus it is our desire to love and follow Jesus that defines us. Yes?
I sure hope so because strive as I have for 50 years to resolve many of these doctrinal conflicts I very well may be wrong on at least a few of them.

Yes, the Reformation of the 16th century, in spite of its defects and errors, was indeed a mighty move of God's Spirit, without which we would not have the religious freedom we have today. We wouldn't have the Bible in our own language, nor the freedom to read or interpret it as led by the Spirit of God. Sadly, like yourself, many Christians have either never heard of the Reformation, or they have, but have no interest in those events in our church history. Some even blame Luther or the movement itself for dividing Christendom! Ah, but it was the Sword of the Spirit which effected the separation, not between true believers and other true believers, but between truth and error ; between light and darkness ; between the sheep and the goats and the wheat and the tares! Those who wish to go back into the arms of Rome are defying the Scriptures which command us not to be 'unequally yoked together with unbelievers...' (2 Cor. 6.14-18) and exhorts us to 'stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. ' (Gal.5.1). Beware of the dangerous ecumenical movement which seeks to enslave us once again under Roman tyranny and lies, as it is written, 'the deadly wound was healed and the whole world was amazed and followed after the beast. ' (Revelation 13.3). Notice how the wording of Revelation 18.4 is very similar to what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 6.17.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty, wherewith Christ has set us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage!
This freedom which we enjoy was purchased at a high price - the blood of the martyrs of Christ.

Hmmmmm... all denominations have one thing in common ... Jesus Christ. Then we are brothers in Christ. All other discussion is pretty human error. Today, I'm glad of what we become. I see it as a divine design.

I have learned a lot. I watched for 25 mons and took breaks and start again as it was 2+hour long. However, in today's world NOTHING much has changed. Many secular pastors, preachers, bishops, ministers etc out here today with the fake love for church, congregation and God. Church and State still mirror each other in the wealth , power and greed department. All them should be ashame.

If you have faith in what Christ did at the cross alone you will by default desire to be loving towards others. His love towards us opens up us to receive the Holy Spirit which enables an intimate relationship. Perfect love casts out fear. In this relationship we have strength to obey and know His will. Step by step. Every day is a Sabbath to Him. We rest In Him.
I think Covid was just a small sample in comparison to what people faced during that time period. We've actually been incredibly blessed not to have had to suffer from the types sickness and diseases they had to endure, many of whom didn't. Life expectancy was much lower then,as well as infant mortality.

Look at ancient churches, they do discipleship and those men create their own church but not subservient to the church they are from, but is a sister church of it.
Some churches today expand, not discipleship.
Example is Hillsong. I'm listening to their music, I love their music, I play it, till today I have no grudge to them, but I've seen so many accusations against them, in the first place it is because of expanding as if it is a brand or a business. A church shouldn't do that. They have branches that is looking like a studio already and they have a mega church. Criticizing the Catholic church, yet this is how the Church of Rome became polluted. They expanded through Italy but they remained the head and supreme authority under their bisphoric. Look at how churches were in ancient times. There are church of Alexandria, Antioch, Pergamon, Korinthos, Philadelphia, and so on and so forth, yet they remain autonomous to one another, but they all share the same belief, and will look to one another to not travel the wrong path. Not expansion, no headquarters, no head of all church, and so on.
I love small churches.
Some as small as home only. Yet they spread message and gospel and create disciples who will then do the same, but the church they came from is not under theirs, but under God's. I hope they will see this. Jesus said remove that thing in your eye first before you criticize. Catholic Church expands like how modern mega churches expanded.
We need communities of churches practicing righteously, not a single organized church under a man/organization.
