I am a fan of Def Leppard but Vivian is wasted in the band, he could out shred Phil Collen anytime anywhere, his licks are far superior when he lets loose, Phil only has one fast sequence he plays on everything, Vivian is a master if his art.
@@glyntaylor49 Vivian Campbell could bring back the guitar days of High "n" Dry and Pyromania. I like Phil and he did a tremendous job on Adrenalize writing both the lead and rhythm parts. However, Phil isn't a Pete Willis or Steve Clark type guitar player which is why Def Leppard got soft after Steve's untimely death.
@@JW-wi1nf steve clark still doesn't get the recognition he deserves, he came up with most of the great riffs and guitar parts on hysteria, what would be good is if they asked Vivian to just rip on something like run riot just to see , although the solo already on it does fit the song, would be a good experiment.
Damn, Vivian still kicks ass and he always will. In my option, his greatest solo and the greatest in metal history was the one for Rainbow in the Dark.
Vivian taking a backseat to Phil Collin is laughable. Great to see him doing what he loves...& he & Vinnie A. keeping Dio's legacy alive . RIP RJD & Jimmy B.🤘
@@troopermeismeis5473 wow! Must have been awesome🤘🏻got to see Queensryche open for Metallica’s damage justice tour! It was queensryche operation mind crime era🔥epic!
I got to see the Holy Diver tour and The Last in Line tour. Both were incredible! Viv was an amazing Metal player. I was a little shocked when he took the DL gig just because I didn’t feel like their music fit his style. Don’t get me wrong he fits in well with DL. It’s nice to see him really show his Metal side again here.
Stupid comments who cares he still playing dio music and doing what he loves let him play and Def Leppard do both we get to still hear him ... These are great live shows to see... I've seen last in line a couple times what a good rock and roll show..
Def Leppard is probably a great paying gig, but Vivian's heart is right here. Saw him in '83, crowd of about 300 people. No one had a clue about Dio yet.
And except Jimmy Bain because he passed away 8 years ago. The band originally was Dio's first band... Vivian, Jimmy, and Vinny. Phil playing bass is a perfect fit to have taken Jimmy's place.
The trick in life is to make it look easy, and aren’t they just slaying it right now. \../ \../ It would be really great to see them perform live in the south of England too, the next time they’re passing by 😉
Despite their well publicised differences it's nice to see Vivian honouring his and Ronnie's legacy. As we approach the 14th anniversary of his passing, I would love to think they could've patched things up if Ronnie had lived. Great to see Vinnie playing too (although what's with the double time parts?). Is it the guy making the recording hitting " HHOOOOOMMMMEE!!!!" at the start ? Great job 👏 , will be watching "Dreamers Never Die " this weekend wearing my Last In Line t-shirt and denim cut off with Holy Diver patch. Thanks for posting 👍
When will Dio be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Dio had an amazing voice range. These guys did a great job doing this cover .You never hear it played much.
Campbell was really amazing when he broke out in the Dio band. Just 20/21 and on fire which was quite a feat considering the two giants Dio had played with prior. Nice to see he's still the man in his 60s.
The first two Dio albums with the original band are the only ones anyone cares about . Too bad they were screwed over . Imagine what else they would've come up with .
Wasted all the way to the bank. These are pro musicians, they do it to support their families, not for fanboys in mommies basement and their fantasies.
Vivian is the man. One of my top 5 guitar hero's. Still playing AMAZING at 61. It may be sacrilege, but I always thought Vivian's playing was far above his tone on the Dio albums. A tiny bit thin for me and His solo's should have been a touch louder in the mix.
Because his work on the first two Dio albums made them more memorable and classic than all the other Dio albums. Besides everyone knows Ronnie was the greatest hard rock singer ever! Common knowledge.
This is the real Vivian Campbell.
Hell yea 🤘 I’m feeling old , I remember seeing Viv way back in the early 80s for Holy Diver he totally shredded 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Vivian knocked that solo out of the park. I was disappointed that the crowd did not all bow to him when it was complete!!!!

Vivian is able to let loose and it’s so refreshing to hear
Vivian Campbell is one of the best from the era … most of his solos are instant classics 😎
Good to see Vinny still hitting hard..❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Damn, Vivian still kicks ass and he always will. In my option, his greatest solo and the greatest in metal history was the one for Rainbow in the Dark.
Vivian's tone is spot on.
I am so grateful my teenage years were spent rocking to DIO, might be the last in line, defiantly the BEST in line!! RIP Ronnie!!
I’m so great full for growing up in the Dio years. God bless Vivian.
Vivian taking a backseat to Phil Collin is laughable. Great to see him doing what he loves...& he & Vinnie A. keeping Dio's legacy alive . RIP RJD & Jimmy B.🤘
Well he obviously does`nt mind or he would`nt be in Def Lappard would he? what a stupid fucking comment to make.
Ronnie's songs, whether it is Rainbow, BS, or Dio, never get old, IMO. I can listen to Last in Line and never tire of it.
Ronnie's songs lmao 🤣 GTFO he ripped everyone off get a grip
Dio had one of the best rock voices in history.
Dio was also a dick to his bandmates (underpaid).
@@cybergnetwork588😮😂
That was EPIC !!! Good to hear the classics still done so well….an 80’s time machine !!! Man I miss those years !!!!😁🎸🤘🎶
I mean that solo! Epic!
I mean its Vivian Campbell
Phil looks and sounds like the great Jimmy Bain
Got to see Vivian with Dio on the Holy Diver Tour🤘🏻Shredder🔥🔥🔥
Same here dude! Back in 85 at the great Western Forum in Los Angeles! Good old days.

Welcome back Vivian,,if only for the moment
beautiful comment
Best solo ever for me
Vivian knocked that solo out of the park. I was disappointed that the crowd did not all bow to him when it was complete!!!!
Delivering the DIO power easily!! Vivian still "burns with feel"
This song was love at first listen waaaay back and is still my fave Dio song.
I'm so stoked this ended up in my CZcams feed. Vivian is such a huge talent that get's overshadowed a bit in Def Leppard. \m/
Vivian was definitely one the guitar heroes of the 80s
Vivian Campbell killing it as usual
Sound great. Love seeing the early stuff raw. Ya’ll can bring it. This is what LIVE should look like today ;)
This band is firing 🔥 on all cylinders !! 🎸🔥🔥
✌️💜
Vivian is so awesome!
Amazing. I can't believe that I hear this song again . Thank you guys!!!

Great band
Very good

Takes me back to my first band I ever played in. Love this shit.
May the spirit, the legacy and inspiration of Dio *LIVE IN!*
Timeless

THAT must have been AMAZING...🤘🤘
Vinny Best Drummer . I wonder do they play Heaven & Hell Band ?
Yesss!! That's Vivian Campbell this is the original line up who recorded the album the last in line except Ronnie James Dio he's in heaven!!!!
And except Jimmy Bain because he passed away 8 years ago. The band originally was Dio's first band... Vivian, Jimmy, and Vinny. Phil playing bass is a perfect fit to have taken Jimmy's place.
"we are the strongest people on earth, we are... the last in line" R.J. Dio. rip
Andrew has an amazing voice!!!
Singer does it so well!
Vinny Appice is a beast!
Great work hey man’s! You have the Best singer🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Vivs got some great tone. They sound good
Vincenzo still looks the same !! One of the best drummers along with Carmine his fratello !
Everyone singing "HOME" had a little bit of Ronnie in each and every one of them.
I saw these guys play at the Token Lounge in Westland, Michigan a few years back, they absolutely rocked the place!!
Vivian rules!! Metal icon! A true 80's titan!!
Perfect!
Dude has a great voice
Fantastic!
Vocals woowwww !!!
Agreed.. everyone commenting on viv.. that’s amazing but damn he nailed the vocals
Freeman douche laid down on the stage during the state. Sad and embarrassing.
Crazy remember seeing him with Whitesnake

excellent all the way around!!
Good to see Vivian playing real solos!🤘
Nicely done!
Bruce Springsteen finally in a band that doesn't suck. 🤘🏼

Well done! I didn't dig Freeman's voice at first but he's settled in nicely, his great performance here does the song justice!
Viv is playing great here!
I shake my head with open mouth on my knees
Definitely the best era of music.
Vivian Campbell the Gary Moore disciple that he is very underated.
Freeman rules, pure power!!
Vinnie Appice cool.
I think Ronnie wouldn't mind knowing these cats are playing. Vivian was such a star when this came out.
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘
Very cool, gained a subscriber.
Welcome aboard!
Vivian loves this more than the pop music in Def Leppard!!
🤘
Вивиан Кампбэл конечно бесподобен Все таки лучшие альбомы Великого Дио записаны с ним и стали классикой
Wooooooh!!!! F'n Vivian still got it!
That’s Jimmy Bain’s little brother, Jerry Bain on bass
The room ambiance is like the old Philadelphia Spectum.
The first two Dio albums with the original band are the only ones anyone cares about . Too bad they were screwed over . Imagine what else they would've come up with .
Vivian is a sharper guitarist now than he was in the 80’s. Wow! Singer is amazing but imagine if Ronnie and Jimmy were still around ?
Yes way more mature. His sound and vibrato is much better now then"in the old days".
My sister was in the video
Andrew Freeman are doing a great job
Damn, the singer has Chops, I’m a little disappointed though he didn’t hit the opening scream.
Andrew, You know how we rock in North Dakota....Bring it here...!
He's wasted in Def leapard.
Wasted all the way to the bank. These are pro musicians, they do it to support their families, not for fanboys in mommies basement and their fantasies.
He seems to enjoy it.
Well fucking done🤘😝🤘
Singer sounds just like him
Nope
Vivian is the man. One of my top 5 guitar hero's. Still playing AMAZING at 61. It may be sacrilege, but I always thought Vivian's playing was far above his tone on the Dio albums. A tiny bit thin for me and His solo's should have been a touch louder in the mix.
Who the heck is that singer? He killed it!
Andrew Freeman is his name.
Phil Soussan strongly resembles Jimmy Bain look-wise.. Almost scary. RIP Jimmy.
Why are all the comments about Vivian? Who got him noticed???
Because his work on the first two Dio albums made them more memorable and classic than all the other Dio albums. Besides everyone knows Ronnie was the greatest hard rock singer ever! Common knowledge.
