Even with all that amazing technology that went into designing and build the components for that motor, it's so neat to watch craftsmen build the final product. Those guys have a right to be proud to put their name on it. Great video!

That little smile putting the signed 'one man one engine tag @13.55 is priceless. I can feel his joy when in the street he spots an amg driven by billionaire and be like i built that engine. Wow

@@yns13 Yep. And you don't need to be a millionaire to own an AMG. You can get an AMG with an engine hand-built the same way for $50-$60k in the Mercedes-AMG A45S.

That V8 engine building - building an absolute masterpiece. Shame this skill will eventually be lost, if everything goes fully EV.
I can picture the documentary now; “Each electric motor is painstakingly plugged in by a single trainee technician. Watch as they slowly align the plug in the correct orientation, and firmly push it into its receptacle. Only those who have plugged in anything in their entire lives are qualified for such precise work.”

You're seeing final assembly. The Engineers who designed the engines, the manufacturers who built the components to specs are not shown here. So the final assembly guy gets his name on the engine but he's like the you after bringing home furniture from Ikea, he's just doing final assembly, which is pretty easy actually.

How many cars can it produce when Germany runs out of gas? How much more will the cars costs when Germanys pays a lot more for LNG from the US?
That's the game that US play, cut cheap Gas and sell their expensive Gas to EU. And how stupid is EU to follow thru.
Mercedes announced they can reduce the gas consumption at least for 50%. Without reducing the production.
