    I will be going over the product description, showing calculations for the dilution ratios and showcase the product on my daily driver thought harsh Canadian winters.

    Love this product!!
    They have made a new updated touchless recently in 2024 which is twice the strength so less product needed in your snowfoam lance, its only availble in 1L bottle at the moment but will soon be available for 5L
    To know if your getting the new double strength one you need to see the instructions as the bottles look identical , the new one maximum dilution is 2% not 5% like the old one.
    Im guessing the old version will soon stop production when they have sold out since they havent renamed it.

    Love your channel brother! This is exactly how I apply mine (IK Foamer) and it is the smartest way to use this product, becomes a very cheap and efficient prewash.

  • @sillyz456
    @sillyz456 Před 8 měsíci +7

    All you need is an alkaline resistant pump sprayer.
    1L of water and 50ml of product (equals 5% pir - the max) will do any but the largest of SUVs/trucks.
    Maintenance prewash you only need 20-30ml.
    It's a trifecta of not harsh chemicals, extremely effective cleaner and doesn't degrade sealants or coatings.
    S tier product.

  • @birddogg3270

    I found the easiest way to figure PIR is to weigh the bucket after emptying the foam cannon into it rather than pouring buckets into measuring containers for volume. This works for standard and metric but easier for metric because in the US a gallon is 128 oz so if you had exactly 3 gallons it would be 384 oz times .02% 7.68oz of product.
    It’s actually easier to do the math in metric Because, one liter of water is 1000 grams or 1kg. And 1liter of water is also 1000 ml. See where this is going? So if you weigh the bucket of water for p.i.r after emptying foam canon into it ,and you have 3.5 kg that would be 3500ml and also 3500grams . So 3500 x .02% = 70 ml of product.
    Obviously you have to zero out weight of the bucket , however I found doing this by weight is more accurate than trying to measure it by pouring into measuring cups or other measuring buckets.
    Just weigh and convert it. Hope this helps

    BH Touch-Less is my goto (winter) prewash too. And compared to many other APCs, it's actually quite concentrated. 5% (PIR) is the same as 1/20 or 1:19. As another mentioned in the comments: good cleaning power combined with rust inhibitors, safe on all exterior surfaces, biodegradeable, easy to rinse off... Top shelf product. I also have KCx Vbn (or Msn in the US - same product/different name) - another top shelf prewash with corrosion inhibitors. Both very effective, but I'll give the Touch-Less the edge because of it's use of gentle and biodegradeable ingredients.

    • @pommeinzennor
      @pommeinzennor Před 8 měsíci

      5% pir usually works out way more then 1/20. Usually works out between 4:6 or 1:1 in the foam lance

      @@pommeinzennor Yep through almost any pressure washer 5% is way more than 1:20

    • @RojohII
      @RojohII Před 8 měsíci

      @@pommeinzennor True. I'd have to use it neat in the foamcannon to acheive 5% PIR. I typically use 300ml or 11oz in the foamcannon to cover the car with foam. (this partly because I use the MTM PF22 and also because I use a larger orifice in my foamcannon (1.4mm). I could probably go down to the standard 1,25mm, but that would probably put more pressure on the pump given it's a 2.7gpm pressurewasher.
      Anyway: When used in a pumpsprayer or foamer, it's dilution is comparable to most apcs og prewashfoams regarding cleaningpower versus product usage.

    Works better and is more economical in a liquid sprayer. Works fine in foam form as well but better when it fully wets out the surface.

      @DetailProjects  Před 2 měsíci

      I dilute it in my IK multi pro 2 and spray on the vehicle. Again, Way more economical than diluting it in the foam cannon, but the product is a poor performer. Gyeon wet coat is your best bet if you’re looking for quick and easy protection. I have video coming soon!

      @@DetailProjects I’ll have to try it as I have one coming my way already so let’s see how it goes. Did you ever tried it in the Foam Canon? According to Pete Hamber the velocity at which the solution hits the panel is more important than the dilution due to some technical stuff that the chemical needs to activate.

    • @DetailProjects
      @DetailProjects  Před 2 měsíci

      I did try it in a foam cannon. They also suggested to use in a trigger sprayer as well as in a bucket. Unfortunately all suggestions failed me. They just came out with a V2. I might give it a shot in the future. Hope it works out for you.

    Good video but you should have left one door free of Touchless to show how much more dirt is removed with Touchless versus just water from the hose.

    • @DetailProjects
      @DetailProjects  Před 8 měsíci +1

      As I mentioned in the video if I used the pressure washer it would probably knock off 90% of the dirt off the vehicle. I have tried many times off camera to rinse off the vehicle this dirty with just the garden hose but it didn’t even put a dent to the dirt so there is no point to compare really. I made a video in the past comparing your suggested test with power clean.

    Thanks for this! Got the Touch-Less, but too lazy to pull out the foam canon and pressure washer to do the monthly wash. Was looking for reviews and videos of how it works with an IK foam 12 and you made it easier.

      @@DetailProjects Thanks! Was going to do 5% when it's dirty (like now after all the pollens falls all over the car), then do 2% for my monthly or bi-monthly maintenance wash. Also what do you mean by linear dilution? Any example from yours with the IK foam? Thanks!

    • @DetailProjects
      @DetailProjects  Před 3 měsíci

      What I mean is, when my vehicle is lightly soiled I usually dilute 1-2 oz into 1 gallon of water in my IK, as opposed to 6oz for 5%PIR and 2.6 oz for 2% PIRI. It’s surprising effective at this dilution and it saves a lot of product. It’s perfect for maintenance washes from my experience.

      @@Enjoying-Life I haven’t tried it as a contact wash and it’s not designed for that application. However, I used it as a wheel cleaner by spraying it on my wheels after rinsing them, and I used ONR with my brushes and towel to agitate and that combo worked great with no damage to the wheels.

  • @vasilisk8208

      Haven't tried it as a "shampoo", but I'd put some lubricating shampoo in the buckets anyway for good measure.

    • @DetailProjects
      @DetailProjects  Před 8 měsíci +2

      @vasilisk8208, that’s a great question, When it comes to cleaning your tires and mats, lubricants are not really a concern as you will not be scratching anything. When it comes to wheels I used it on my matte wheels with my wheel brush and no scratches. A good pre rinse is always recommended before contact. Like @Rojohll mentioned it’s best practice to also use some lubricants for that insurance. I typically like to use my Rinseless wash.

    • @DetailProjects
      @DetailProjects  Před 4 měsíci

      If you’re using 2% PIR it’s totally fine for wax or sealant. 5% PIR could affect your wax or sealant. It all depends on how often you apply Touchless. Ceramic coating are much more durable and from my experience touchless does a good job “unclogging“ the paint on coated vehicles without really damaging the coating. Over the course of years obviously your coating degrades no matter what, so may see some behaviour changes, so don’t assume it’s because of your soap your might be using.

  • @PetitBarez
    @PetitBarez Před 7 měsíci

    You can only achieve the best result with touch-less on a foam cannon. It MUST be a thin application as it lift the dirt and drag it down with the help of gravity. This way gives it a very sticky foam that only lift the dirt and put it back on the panel cause its not dragging it down as much. This method is very very affective as a pre threatement (lower part) before you start the prewash.
