- Was building an xp farm for my Minecraft server and ended up unleashing a horde of silver fish on everyone... Hope my friends won't find silverfish in their bases forever

have been playing Minecraft for so long, but I never thought that one day would be hunted by Silverfish.

@@CreativelyJake tbh it’s so op idk if this balances it out. I get almost 50 levels from it in a minute using only one infestation potion. Hope it doesn’t get nerfed tho
@@alannulliit's basically as good as an enderman farm and worst than a guardian farm by 0.75 on average i think? and takes potions to run while the other two are just build once, exp forever
@@TonyToed yea I think slightly worse and more maintenance but it comes with the convenience of being at your base
Imagine telling someone in 1.20 that "10 bajillion silverfish" could be a real tangible issue the next version.
I would think that they will add a new silverfish dimension

Easiest thing to do would have to just gone 128 blocks away and came back so they all despawned after blocking the hole with lava.

Use water to stop them coming to you, push them away, just stand at the water source
And, add thorn to your armor
I had thorns, they did too much dmg for it to help. Water is smart though, there were too many that I didn't think about that

@@bonD6002 Thinking of doing a block hunt game with friends on the server to show it off, it’s in a valley surrounded by mountains so it looks pretty insane
Next time (not that there'll probably be a next time but still) it could help to open the fence gate then place the glass on the bottom face of the ice that's touching said gate- that way you only have to move your mouse like, 1 pixel

If bro places the lava in one wrong spot then the server is dead, at least your base is. Anyway if you just deactivate the dispenser and ran away very far and then came back they would probably all despawn

I've build a enderman farm, a mob farm ( with 5 floors ) and gonna admit it , this farm is more efficent than the endermand farm
you should use silverfish mining with all those fishes

Moral of the story: don't be a fucking dumbass when building a silverfish farm, and if you build one and are scared of accidentaly releasing an infestation, then bring a sword with Bane of Arthropods
You should opened the gate with the Glass block so you wouldn't need to switch the slot to place the Glass and the farm would be safe
