Stick trades, though undeniably a great source of emeralds, aren't actually the best trade for quick and easy emerald acquisition. That would be clay trades; you have no idea how quickly you can get a full stack of emeralds with just a few mason villagers and a nearby river.
Clay isnt as quickly renewable as sticks
@@sav88 Yeah, but clay's also abundantly available enough that you'd scarely exhaust the supply provided a large enough water source is nearby.
@@purplehaze2358You can also sell stone to Masons for Emeralds. If you have a silk touch pickaxe and you really really need some emeralds.

true! there is a swamp near my village, and I mined one double chest of clay. it is equivalent to 5-6 stacks of emeralds, I didnt even need that much
now you can make 333,333k of cakes, you would have one egg left!

pain watching this as a redstoner, the shear inefficiency of those clocks, the lag caused by chickens bouncing up and down, the amount of entities constantly floating, and the hoppers without compacters on top caused so much pain. you could've easily done this with tps of 16 or above
i am however glad you eventually did it with mods and other tools n tips.

Amazing! I recommend making an automatic bamboo farm for a lot of sticks and wood. Oh also, building the storage system below the chicken farm and making the hoppers flow into each other would be way better.

Watching those eggs just fly through the storage system at the end is super satisfying. Fun fact, if you'd used just hoppers instead of water, it would have taken over 200 days just for 10,000,000 eggs to flow through one hopper
WHAT a video. Doesn't even make me want to play Minecraft, just makes me want to watch more of this
If you assume that the chicken supply doubles every hour when hatching (from 8 eggs/hour/chicken and 1 chicken / 8 eggs), then a bit of calculus shows that the minimum amount of time to collect N eggs starting from n chickens would be lg(N*e*ln(2)/(8 n)), and the optimal strategy would be to spend the last 1/log(2) hours (about 1.44) collecting eggs and the rest of the time multiplying chickens. For N=10 million, starting from 100 chickens, this would mean about 13 hours multiplying chickens and about 1.5 hours collecting eggs, or about 44 in-game days total. If you could get 100 chickens and all storage and egg dispensers built in under 56 days, this would be possible. What's interesting is that no matter how many chickens you start with and how many eggs you want to collect, the optimal strategy is always to spend 1/log(2) hours, about 4.3 in-game days, collecting eggs, and the rest of the time spent multiplying chickens. Egg.

about villager trades, making string duper and selling string to fletchers (~14/emerald) you could get emeralds really quickly. The simples. duper. generates ~2 stacks of string per minute which after around 5 minutes it will be enough to sell the string to 3 villagers (at least).
