So entertaining and a great podcast. I love your enthusiasm! I’m definitely with you re the Spring/Summer vibe, thoughts never far from Fall designs! Happy knitting!
thanks so much for the very sweet comment! happy to have you here 🥰✨
Omg I'm currently knitting the Birkin Polo and I commented on your project page saying I was excited to see the finished object! What a coincidence you get recommended to me on CZcams! Glad I get to follow along here!
omg hi!!! such a funny coincidence ✨ happy to have you here 🤍
Hi! I just found your podcast today. Looking forward to more episodes and knitting. :)
thank you so much for the sweet comment! glad to have you here 🤍
If you want a more size inclusive alternative to sweater #14, try the Harlow V-Neck sweater by Caidree. It's still pretty baggy, but there's a better range for all chest sizes. It's knit on 4,5mm needles.
Great podcast good luck with all the knitting plans
thanks!! i considered the harlow sweater for a bit, but i prefered the sweater no.14 gauge and the fabric it generates ✨
might cast on the harlow at a later point with a thick woolly yarn though, it's just so stunning too 🥰
Wow so many lovely knitting plans! Just discovered your channel, can't wait to see all those projects come to life 😄
Aw thanks so much! I really enjoy your videos myself 🥰
Ahhhh you’re going to look so good in the Birkin Polo! I love how you did the little pattern tests to get the perfect stitches 😊 I’m so happy that we’re kind of making matching outfits for the Eras Tour together 🥰🥰
you and me both!! can't wait to see it all come together 🤍
So happy to have found a Belgian knitter/vlogger! I'm also planning on making something for my eras tour fit, but ugh... too many options. Good luck with your spring knitting projects! I'm probably gonna make another square neck cami and another cami no 9. Both spring/ summer staples if you ask me! They work great in Belgian summer/ spring weather if you knit them up in cotton or a cotton/merino mix.
ahh so happy to have you here! love meeting knitters who also live in belgium 🤍 when/where are you going to the eras tour? if it's the same date (4th of july) i feel like you have no choice but to join in on the midnights crochet/knitted vibes 🤭 and i couldn't agree more on the square neck cami and cami no.9! truly incomporable patterns 🥰
I just love crocheting 🧶
i'm not that good at crochet, unfortunately 😭 wish i was, though!
Hi, I am currently knitting the Robinson wrap cardigan as my first ever garment in a beautiful Cinderella blue. It’s going really well but I wondered how did you get the transition from knitting the body/shoulder back and forth to the sleeve knitting in the round with such a smooth transition 😍?
oh how fun! i'm not sure i fully understand your question though? if you mean the lack of a gap in the underarm, i use a specific trick for that! feel free to DM me on instagram (@candidknit), maybe i can help you there by sending some pictures to help make things more clear 🥰
I love your enthusiasm! I would totally try dyeing over the ice blue top personally, but I like to live in the edge 😂 it sounds fun though and the original colorway will be there for another project!
can't say i haven't thought exactly this before myself 😂 it's just such a scary choice to make 😭 don't want to regret whatever i choose to do hahah
also just a bit sentimental about this piece too, was my first "fancy" knit with yarn that wasn't drops or acrylic 😭
If you still have the yarn of the robinson wrap, you could also attempt do do surgery and reknit the area of the stain (same idea as fixing a hole in a sweater). Sounds scary, but if it's unwearable anyways, might be worth a try! Duplicate stitch is also an option, but willl probably be more visible on such a fine stockinette pattern.
yeah the problem is the fact that it's knit in one piece in the round and has a double knitted button band, i'll for sure need to frog a lot even if i end up doing surgery 😭 maybe duplicate stitch isn't such a bad idea though? eapecially if i shave the original fabric a bit it might not show all too much, but also scary of course! thanks for the tips though 🤍
Can you duplicate stitch over the stain in the same yarn? Or embroider over it maybe bring the embroidery around the side to make it work? That is a gorgeous sweater, and it fits you perfectly.
thanks!! i love it so much, it's very likely i'll choose to frog and fix it that way... will for sure be a hassle and a lot of work, but i believe it will be worth it to have it back in its original state 🩵
Lovely episode! New subscriber here. Have you considered embroidering on the varnish stain? Like some flowers or some motif that you’d enjoy?
my best friend made the same suggestion! i'm not the best at embroidering, but it does sound like a great solution... might need to look up some pinterest inspo and really consider how i'd do that, thanks!! 🤍
already looking forward to seeing all those knits becoming wips hehe ✨
hihi you're the sweetest 🤍
Thanks for sharing your beautiful yarn choices for your future knits ideas, they are very inspiring to me.
Don’t know how you take criticism, at least I’m trying to help. I give you kudos for swatching, but I think your swatches might be done incorrectly. The first thing is to dropping the edges to your swatch and unless your purls have the same tension in the round as flat, your swatch might not be a true representation of what your finished garment might be. If you will like to improve your swatches please watch Clo knits specifically her video title “5 swatching mistakes AND 2 swatching in the round methods” I have recently discovered her and I have learned a lot from her videos.
Your wrapped sweater deserves to be knitted again the fit and color are just beautiful on you.
For your wrist injury you might want to apply some Castor oil and see if it works for you, I recently had a shoulder pain and applied some castor oil to it and the pain was gone very quickly.
i wouldn't consider this criticism at all, more so feedback! thanks for taking the time out of your day to share this with me 🤍
i'll definitely be checking out the video, although i've tested this on several garments and my knitted flat swatch tension almost always matches the one in the round! if it doesn't, it's like just by a half stitch, which is fine i guess, but can't hurt to check out those resources nonetheless 🥰
i'll be getting some castor oil soon! you're not the first to recommend this, but it's such a random tip that it almost hás to work 😂
Not me not listening to what she is saying because at some point of the video, there's a adorable feline at the corner.
hahaha, love this! lilla's a regular guest on this channel, she likes to be included :)
