Pro Boat Impulse 32 insane crash and durability test @ 70mph!

- An couple of insane crashes! It was too windy and the water was too choppy for the Zonda so I gave the Impulse 32 a go. The boat is all stock with a dasboata test prop. No damages at all from these crashes. Thanks for watching!

Thanks bro. Yea it's got more in it for sure. Trying out the bigger spot and it was too rough that day for the zonda so I went ahead and ran this one.
@@MrMad2424 sure looks like a nice new spot 😍 yea i can imagine that a mono going those speeds might be even more sensitive to rough water. But 100mph+ needs to be more or less perfect nomatter the hull type for sure.
Whats your thoughts on the impulse in general? I see a lot of people having issues with leakage and stuff
@@EmilWilkens I think the Impulse is great. Only issues I've had is the hatch screws. They are touchy sometimes one can be hard to get started depending on what one you start first... weird I know...lol !The hatch seal don't seal off 100% like some other pro boats do but still has a decent seal. I think some have had leaking issues from the boot on the steering rod and not known what's going on and think it's the transom leaking. I knocked my boot off in a crash and didn't realize it and mine took on water. I put the boot back in place and its been fine and virtually water free on every run.

Harpeth River Bridge? I've run an old Prather Commander in those waters a few years back. Didn't have anything that was quiet enough to blaze down through there... Until now. Awesome running. Looks to be a fairly solid boat, can't wait to get mine in the water. Any suggestions on a good place to start with a prop? 1716?
Yes that's at the Harpeth. As for the 1716 it might over amp the esc with that prop. This esc I believe is set a little conservative maybe from the smart technology it has. I normally don't run those on my monos. I'd start with a x445 if I was you. Unless you just have a 1716 laying around.

I have no clue. They are permanently glued in that direction though. I did get this boat on scratch and dent from Tower Hobbies so that may have been the reason also. I can't complain I only gave like $150 for it.

Good gawd, that was brutal. Looks like it flew at least 30 feet. That impulse is one tough and fast boat. I'm gonna have to get one of those dasboata props for my BJ42. So far I've got 60 mph out of it with an octura x445. What dasboata prop do you recommend?
I haven't ran anything but the stock prop on the BJ42

If you hat to decide between the Proboat Veles 29 , Sonicwake 36 and impulse 32 wich one would you take. Im not quiete sure, but I want to but an 6s capable boat, because I have 2 6s Packs from my rc car.👍
most 6s packs won't fit in the veles. Impuse 32 is better than the sonicwake. But sonicwake has self righting though.

Nice one. I found out the hard way why a real retriever boat is so important. I crashed my Blackjack. Took abt 30 minutes to get it out the water using another boat to bump it back to shore. How can I send you the link to the video?

no. The motor is too high of a kv for 8s. 6s safely would be the max.

I may have hit something. Also pushing it 20 mph more than its rated may have had something to do with it as well..haha

I'm not a boat guy, more of a 'on the ground' kinda dude. So forgive my ignorant question in advance plz. Is it common to break anything when doing those high speed flips? And if so, what would it commonly be? Thankyou, as i may have recently been bitten by a water bug and need treatment in the form of buying a high speed water craft! ;)
Can’t speak for the new impulse but normally you could get stress cracks in the gel coat or more severe cracks in the fiberglass. I had a fiberglass boats back then, I honestly had the worst luck with a proboat voracity where I even had the battery tray come loose during a high speed crash, the transom cracked at the rudder mount as well. But I had great luck with the TFL boats, for a normal user like myself where I just do the occasional outing I very much prefer plastic and it tends to be pretty tough which is why I went with the sonicwake.
Yes, It's common to break something with a high speed crash in these RTR boats. Paint cracking or fiberglass cracks is definitely possible. The water is like hitting a brock wall at speed.
@@MrMad2424 yeah I’ve had mixed results with the RTR boats, I had a Zelos with zero issues and I had a revolt with only minor little gel coat cracks but I’ve had some other joysway boats that cracked pretty bad. I always recommend people to do their research in what people who have owned the boats have to say about them or go on eBay and look at used ones for sale and see if they tend to have common problems lol.
