    So so so sick! I don't think my M41 would withstand 8S, ABS plastic might not hold up...Super cool video though! Join the faceboat proboat group and flex!

    First of all the green just the color is amazing on the boat with a double layers of clear coat just start with. Next the motor ESC prop combination in your setup is freaking banging that boat hauls ass great job. I got a full carbon fiber tfl Pursuit but I want to get a damn Hydro now after seeing that not going to get rid of my tfl but that heavily modified UL 19 is badass

    I'll be honest...I'm not sure I'd trust that motor. The 'manufacturer' provides almost no information, even on their own website (on 'retailer' websites, it's even less info). Checking out their (very minimal) motor lineup, they look like either Castle knockoffs, or "rebranded" Castle motors that didn't quite meet Castle's spec requirements. Not saying that's what they are...only what they appear to be.
    As for the UL-19, that's awesome. Looks like it's running the MRP turn fin...correct? I don't normally care for green...but, on the UL-19, it looks good...and, it definitely makes it stand out.

      Thanks for watching brother, Tony has been building boats for over 20 years and has been modified other boats, so he knows his Stuff.. I am not doubting you about there information on there website but he has been working with this company for while now..The motor is sick - Tonys has ran that motor twice and after each session the motor is not even warm since he is running that SpextrumRC 160 Firma ESC WHICH SEEMS TO RUN EPIC in this hull..

      @@FLSharkdiver I don't doubt his building ability...tho, technically, being an RTR, the UL-19 isn't 'built'...it's just the completely-unknown motor I "wonder" about. Personally, I don't mind testing new/off-brands in my land vehicles, but I'm hesitant about testing 'unknowns' in my boats...and, so far, within the various forums I belong to, no one has yet had any extensive usage with them.
      That brand has also been brought up on the Arrma forum. One person, a couple months ago, said he had ordered one, and would comment once it was received & tested...except he never commented further.

      @@robbryan3044 Well you seen one tested here and this boat is lighting fast not to mentioned zero temp issues after this run so its got to be a pretty solid quality motor. I have yet to see any ProBoat UL-19 on CZcams run faster. Today, we will be putting her through the test with my SkyRC Gps and see what kind of speed we can get out of her...

      @@FLSharkdiver Looking forward to that video. While I haven't "pulled the trigger", I am seriously eyeing the UL-19 as one of my next 2-3 boats. See one raced at a District 9 race a few weeks ago...was doing outstanding (between 2nd & 3rd...mostly 2nd), until it flipped. As for the 1st place hydro, it was WAY ahead of everyone else.

  • @Ed-ty1kr

    I wonder if anyone had broken 100mph with that boat, personally I dont think the hull is capable. That nose dive that you need to overcome as you start out, is not enough to keep the hull from grabbing too much air, and turning the UL19 into an airplane lacking elevator and ailerons. Although a larger prop bolted to it, would probably make it into a great lifting body aitcraft. Anyone ever try a surface drive prop on that hull?

    • @matthewwilken2051

      it is heavy enough ive broken 100

    • @Ed-ty1kr
      @Ed-ty1kr Před rokem +1

      @@matthewwilken2051 nice. I still have trouble getting that number with a boat. The reason I mentioned surface drive props was because technically the most efficient prop is one with a single blade, due to cavitation and surface friction. Which a surface drive tends to fix due to only one prop getting dipped at a time. And the fact that water gets flung into air, increases push, instead of pushing water against water. Kind of like how a jet skies jet is above water after the vessel planes out. Best way to demostrate this is to take a garden hose, turn up the water flow all the way and dip the tip into a pool. The moment the tip becomes submerged the hose loses half its push from water being sprayed out the tip.
      Anyway, I happen to notice on a boat that I changed the prop shaft position on, with the drive coming from the bottom of the keel, and found there was a name for that ... "surface drive". But I was actully going for less of an angle in the prop shaft so as to reduce the cable friction. Anyway, same boat, same Castle motor, even the same 3S batteries... but the boat gained 13mph. Maybe it was just the slight reduction in the shafts bend, and or slightly less tilted motor... but I seriously doubt it, I think it was the prop on the surface that did the trick.

    • @Ed-ty1kr
      @Ed-ty1kr Před rokem

      @@matthewwilken2051 Basically, instead of the prop shaft coming through the bottom of the boat, have it come level and straight out as low as possible, but still coming through the transom. If that makes any sense. And thereby once the boat hydroplanes out, the prop shaft sits right on top of the water surface, level. With the prop halfway dipped as its spinning. Surface drive... it would be perfect for a hydroplane boat like the U19.
