The 1st shop I worked at about 15 years ago, the boss was in his 80's and would always walk up and stare while I was welding with no eye protection. "Man your welds look great for being a kid" he would say.

Invest in an air Riveter. I promise you they're worth it, coming from a background in late model racing and drifting I've been through enough rivets to melt down and build a body

I love that you're doing an e46. They are right on the cusp of being the next common tuner car. It's a great RWD chassis coming way down in cost now that they're older.

Love the progress! I’ve had my hand in building a 316ti compact with a 328 swap welded diff hydro handbrake and solid mounts with full poly bush kit also drawing up plans to turbo it next year

Im digging this project. You know European cars usually have nicer interiors and more comfort as a daily than alot of other stuff you can find for a cheapish price. I even daily drive a volvo station wagon and i love it, the thing takes the abuse well

Great video, for being a cheap build its looking like it's gonna be tons of fun.
I hate drone in exhausts too, especially when it's at a rev range which you maintain alot during normal driving. I'm older now and having a car that you cant hold a conversation in now, is a no no .. I like it to be maybe just a little louder than stock during normal driving, but let you know that you have a v8 in it when you put your foot into it
Do you use the factory exhaust hanging points? Do you use rubber mounts or just hard mount it. Thanks!

Just alittle tip, if your bugged by the sounds that the sunroof delete is making get some dynamat and lay it up there, should give it some structure and hush the tin can wobble

i am curious as to if your gonna plate the rear subframe pick up points? the only reason i ask is because on those e4X model cars they tend to want to rip out after so long cause its kinda thin around those points. just an idea for the future to look into if you havent heard about it.

Smooth clean, not too loud, just smart, where did the headers come from..thanks I've got a little E46 coupe down under. Often buy from the states..have used Pelican for original parts.. I'd love to add some sweet sound/crispness. Communicate only in sings is of course genius..Great pósts gents..

Only until a specific MY.. after that it got fixed I think it was something like 10/04 upwards

If you go with an M50 swap from an E36 and put ARP headstuds these motors can handle 5-600 whp pretty reliably, I wish you would've bought an E92 though, theres one on YT making 830whp on stock internals.. awesome build though!

Anybody know why some e46 330i rev to 6k and other ones to 6500? Was that something they changed for the 2003-2005 model ? Cause I have a 2003 330ci and it revs to 6500 and my last 5 speed 2004 325i did as well... just curious lol

How about a budget ls engine build series? There are plenty of other vids out there, but not one someone who has the magic power sprinkles!
Maybe start with a junkyard one like cleetus ended up with? So cheap! I picked up a clean one with a bad cam bearing for $50! Hopefully a turbo is in the future... Wish there was a cheaper way to supercharge it. Thoughts on best power adder combos?

It can actually pay off too be a hoarder of car parts, it will definitely save you alot of money in the long run so that is actually what I do as well lol
If you ever want a challenge, I would love to see you try and tune my 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen. It's a 2.3T that makes about 20 psi in stock trim, it's got a crappy tune on it now that makes about 22 psi. Almost 300k miles on it, stock original turbo even lol. I drive the piss out of it daily, it's the beater since I don't drive the C6 in the winter much.
Would like to learn how to make a panel look like that. Instead of all the plastic that’s bolted on to a car right now.
