I remember visiting Bohol in 2011 and had crazy food poisoning 😅 but luckily had enough energy to enjoy the island nonetheless. Unfortunate about the weather there but you guys stay positive 😊 Awesome vid as always though!
I am glad you guys are being honest, no icing on the cake. Discussing the drawbacks, garbage and overcharging. Department of tourism should look into these, protect the tourist foreign and locals that are bringing in revenues to this island.
It’s ok it’s the fun that counts. We went to Moalboal last year for the sardine run and to swim with the turtles. When we arrived the water was crazy rough and murky but we had to make the best of it since it was a paid tour. Thanks for info will watch out when we head to Bohol in July.

what is that man asking for a 200pesos payment? beware of many scammers there. your Hotel accomodation should inform you of anything you need to pay. Do not just pay to any of those asking. Call your Hotel first to be sure. Enjoy your stay
Was that Balicasag Island? I've experienced several colorful corals and fishes when I was there. I even saw a sea turtle coming to the surface. It definitely would look better when the sun shines. The ride going there was lengthy though.
Bohol is one of my favorite islands. Sorry to hear about your island hopping experience. If you were taken to Balicasag island, it's supposed to be one of the best diving destinations. I guess the gloomy weather added to the stress😣. Virgin Island is known for it's sandbar. True, the LGU ( local govt unit) of Bohol should regulate the no of tourists to avoid overcrowding. The fees are ridiculous even for us locals. Another travel vlogger Delightful Travellers went to Bohol recently and they enjoyed the beaches in Bohol. Keep safe😊
Entrance fee everywhere but where is this going, I think LGU should look into this, they bring you to the middle of the sea or in an island and they collect money. What if you don't pay are you not allowed to off load from the boat?
Just wanted to be honest, i was planning to go to bohol but ended up canceling my trip there and just went to Camiguin. My friends who went there warned me that the vendors give different prices and they admitted it. If you are from bohol you get the normal price, if you are a local but not from bohol you get to pay higher price for the same thing, but when you are a foreigner they charge way higher prices. Unless bohol local government does something about the overcharging of local and foreign tourist i'd rather go to other beautiful destinations here in PH.
We’ve been travelling now for a longer time in the Philippines and just in Bohol everything was overpriced and ‘dodgy’.. Bit sad about it because it’s a beautiful island!
@@LetsMeetAbroad yeah, dont get me wrong, im a local from metro manila and go on vacations around ph as a local tourist, i encountered places where the prices are higher than usual and i understand that.. the thing that i didn't like is when the prices change depending on where you come from. Ie. 1$ for a bottle of coke for locals, then 3$ for local tourist, then 6$ for foreign tourist coming from the same vendor selling the same item on that same day (this is just an example). Then that becomes a problem to me that local govmnt needs to fix in bohol. The prices should be the same regardless of where you are from.

Sorry about that guys, I'm sure not all Filipinos are very agressived like that when it comes to money there were just some probably most of them were not well oriented and I know how stressful it is being a foreigner in here as visitor's, explorer's like u should treat fairly equal and in a politely way, maybe our gov't should see some more of these cases that really turn down our tourism hospitality and it's embarrassing, and there should be a good process of evaluating this local people who wherein assigned to this specific areas, I believe that a good orientation and well organized filipinos should be spread through out the Philippines to gain more tourist in the near future,.. 😊 however I am trully delightful that some how you enjoyed your stay here in our country.. Yes, it is unfortunate that, because of some worng people, the image of whole country goes wrong.. But we understand, and we still love The Philippines and Filipinos, and we will come back again for sure.

Try Minicoy Island in Lakshadweep. It is just as beautiful but more pristine than the Maldives, Bora Bora and the Caribbean.

Bohol is amazing(Loboc river area), just the tour was a disaster, we wouldn't recomment it to anyone :)

The guy asking for a 100 peso fee on Virgin Island is not legit. I would have challenged him. What was that fee for? Oh well..
