I’m an autistic 14 who has a hyperfixation with this movie and every time I pause this movie for frames either being animation errors,funny facial expression or little details. When I come upon a smear fame I always question “how were they able to do this in Stop Motion???” ParaNorman is one of my favorite movies of all time and I hope to one day work at Laika studios and I love hearing behind-the-scenes from every single movie they’ve made. It’s incredible the detail and effort they put into these movies!

Andy, I just want to say my love about your work. this film is the top 2 of my life. only getting behind Coraline after I memorized all the lines from the film. but Paranorman is the reason for my passion for animation since I was little. Because when the film was released in 2012 here in Brazil, about months later, when I was around 8 years old, I went to the Laika website where there was a tab that allowed me to animate the Paranorman zombies as online puppets, and that's where it all started. I just want to thank you for participating and share this content. Every frame in this film is a incredible art. in fact all laika films. You were indirectly always in my childhood and affectionate memory with these incredible scenes. Someday maybe I will have the opportunity to do something at Laika as a visual effects specialist, maybe I hope for that even though I'm from Brazil :)

Congratulations on your success and opportunities! Stop motion is one of the most difficult ways to create filming 📽️. Incredibly amazed by the details of efforts that was put forth. I believe that they should create more educational movies for kids, but this was a movie about supernatural and paranormal things. With the details that they put forth.... I would have thought that they would have done something more educational.... Excellent explanation, and communications.

Have you also not checked out animated series made in stop-motion, like South Park, that was made in paper cutout stop-motion, but as what my Digital Arts teacher told me, the newer modern episodes are now made in Maya, a 3d animation software like Blender, and Robot Chicken, a series of stop-motion shorts.
