Before I read the book in the 90s, my colleague who had just read it told me, "The key sentence of this book is 'I tried to take it back, but it was too late'."
In the scene in which Del is executed, they had to do so many takes that the actor Doug Hutchison, who played Percy offered any of the extras $20 if they could repeat his speech without making a mistake. I think he had to pay just a few.

On any list of villains, Percy Wetmore will usually be top 5. My recommendation for a movie with another is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Anyone that has seen it knows who I'm talking about. One of three movies that won the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress. Another big five movie is "Silence of the Lambs", with a remarkable villain (or two). A special shout out to the Oscar winning performance of Kathy Bates in "Misery", another Stephen King adaptation.
