Yes, but then when do you stop trying to gloss something over? It is what it is. And there's no doubt that Whitney sang it. @@aaronkristo858 That's not lip syncing. Lip syncing is when you move your mouth to the track and don't use your vocal chords. Rickey was saying Whitney sang the song. She was singing. @@fiveoneforfour Do a simple internet search of it and you will find a quote from her musical director at the time, admitting that she lipsynched it. Not to mention I have been a singer all of my life and I can tell just by watching the way a person's mouth moves.
@@fiveoneforfour He claimed she listened to the orchestra once and then sang the pre-record in one take.
“Truth is always the right answer. I never shy away from someone questioning anything that was done, or how it was done. I mean, the truth is the right thing. Could I have said that it was live-live? Yes, but then when do you stop trying to gloss something over? It is what it is. And there's no doubt that Whitney sang it. So my answer to that, my response to that immediately was, ‘Yes, she sang live. But we used the track for the audio.’ - Rickey Minor (Whitney Houston's musical director)
@@aaronkristo858 That's not lip syncing. Lip syncing is when you move your mouth to the track and don't use your vocal chords. Rickey was saying Whitney sang the song. She was singing. It just wasn't what was being piped into the stadium...a recording of her singing was being played. In my opinion, this is worse, because it's even more deceptive than lip syncing. But, I understand their reasoning for doing it.
There's every possibility they did the same thing with Chris. No way to know.
Chris Stapleton recordings, amazing....
Chris live, LEGENDARY.
The run he does when he sings the phrase gallantly streaming gives me goosebumps and then I cry....EVERY TIME!
Chris brought our anthem HOME♥️
Dude gave me goosebumps & I was sitting at home on my couch alone. He & Whitney were definitely the best to do it.

Whitney lipsynched it.
The magic of Chris's anthem is the simplicity. No bells, no whistles, no slides, trills, tricks of the voice or instrument. Just a man with his guitar and his God-given voice!
When I heard Chris Stapleton would be singing the National Anthem I knew it was going to be epic!!!
Yes! Whitney AND Chris OWN the national anthem … Period ❤️
Whitney lip synced.
Best National Anthem I ever heard.Makes me proud to be a American.Needed a performance like that for the half time show too...
He damn sure gained some fans after that. Even if you'd never heard of him before, you have now. His voice is so damn emotional and powerful. He can literally sing any genre of music and dude has range for days.
I was introduced to his music by a friend. She was playing his cover of Tennessee Whiskey. I head that voice, I had to know who was singing it cause it gave me chills.
He brought dignity back to your anthem. Some people ruin it. This was outstanding.
The best version I've ever heard. Blew away all.others.
Loved Whitney's version, but Chris made me cry. Best ever in my book!
Whitney lipsynched it.

Chris is soo humble. That anthem moved me to the SOUL, literal chills and TEARS 😢 Just like many others. THEEE BEST EVER. EVER. UNEQUIVOCALLY.
It was by far the BEST rendition of the american Anthem to ever be performed! Just amazing voice and the emotion!
Chris is the best. People crying, so much emotion.
The best I've heard in a very long time. Thanks Chris for keeping it real. When it's sung it should move you and it definitely moved me.
Thank you for your love and support❤️
The best national anthem ever sung in history hands down and will never be topped ever... it will be celebrated and remember for many years to come.
I have never heard anyone sing the anthem as good as you Chris Stapleton...awe inspiring...❤
Whitney & Chris did amazing !!!❤❤❤
Chris's rendition of our National Anthem was a shining light in the darkness, bringing some desperately needed harmony to our troubled nation. While he breathed new life into our troubled nation's most revered song, it felt like we all briefly agreed on something. For those few glorious moments, it was genuinely okay for us all to be Americans - together.
This was an incredible anthem rendition, he really did it a lot of justice.
This man's voice just gets into your soul! He is on all my playlists.
He has IT, a very soulful sound the kind that can get you choked up. It hits you right in the feels, then you're reduced to tears. That's what real talent and a great artist does, if you have it you just have it he's just blessed, It's just one of his many talents .
The raw emotion and talent he has is what makes this number 1 in my book...I love the national anthem..being a vet made me proud as well as many other to see the anthem sung like that God Bless America...❤
Thank you for your love and support❤😊
