I added smoked dark gray side markers with amber LED bulbs on my 2016 Civic Touring sedan right after I bought it used in 2018. It does look good at night. Another inexpensive mod is adding a "turbo" sticker on the lower rear door sill. Apparently they were available on the Canadian spec Civics from 2016-2018. It might sound corny but it looks kind of cool and they're available on Ebay or Amazon for about $10.

You working on your car, is exactly how my life is working in my vehicles. For example, Trying to replace license plate bulb? Don’t worry. Stripped out the screws in the trunk lid. Trying to apply a decal? Wind blows it and folds it against itself, ruining the decal. So I feel your pain😂

Did unity performance on mine and they had condensation inside when it rains. It also did not pop in place so I had to put in double sided tape on it. Replaced them with a $20 ebay side markers and they were far better.
I have these in amber and they look good too.

If you pause the video exactly at 4:24, my car looks the exact same but i dont have black rims yet, its just original chrome. and then i have the smoked side marker... Should i make ma wheels black too, will look nice right?

For some reason I cannot pull the bulb out of the socket to replace with the new LED one. I already shattered one of them trying to put it out, so I guess I will need to replace the whole socket ?
Jdmtoy has them also. Have them on 2016 ex t and 2020 si. After thought you can use the stock ones and spray tint them for 9 $
I bought similar ones but off Amazon, I clicked mine in the same way(didn’t have to bend anything) and the clip on the actual side marker broke on both sides of car… ordered new ones, any ideas before I break another on accident lol?

Currently trying to install side markers on my 10th Gen civic, one of the markers won’t pop in correctly like what happened in your video. Could you explain a bit more in detail how you got it to sit in place?
Have you turned on your blinker to see if it syncs? I bought some new side blinkers to for my civic si 2020 and there is another wire to connect to the blinker wire but I dont know witch one it is to sync then so it works because I got ones that where supposed to be amber and it didn't have instructions on witch wire to connect it to lmao. Does anyone know?

Where you live, do they allow white led lights as side markers? Here in Florida they only allow amber lights for side markers.
Well done bro. Sad to know Honda left us(Russia) in 2012, so we don't have 10th gens...it's expensive to purchase new Honda from US or others where there are.

Honda did not do the smaller turbo motors because they are cheaper. They did them because of emission standards. I had an eighth gen SI Before I got my 2020 and this car is much faster and gets better gas mileage. Is the motor as buildable? No, but you can still get good power out the L 15. At least enough for a daily driver. I love my 2020 SI and I think it is the best car on the market at that price range.

Hey so I have a question for your next video! I currently have a 2018 Civic hatch with a few mods done. Would you say it's worth it to put a couple more Ks into it ($3-5k) Visual and performance mods and keep it til it dies. Or save til the 11th gen SI (2022ish) and mod that?
i would most definitely save your money for the 11th gen. it will probably become available next fall as a 2022 model

I ordered smoked LED switchback ones from another company that are really cool. The quality of them is still really really nice, but I’m annoyed the led color is warmer than the cool leds from the headlights. Wish they would make them match.

With the day time running side light I assume you lose the indicator ability? The ‘switch back’ lights I have seen require wiring in but idk

The cheap ones I ordered out of China, the bulb didn’t twist in properly on the passenger side, so I had to sand down the rubber washer lol, other wise was fine though

I have the hatch sport. True it has alot of cargo space but I dont use them often and also wanting more power.
Just recently bought a 2019 civic si coupe and the first thing I did was replace the side markers. Next up is a chrome delete, the chrome on the side of the car above the windows just doesn't fit with the overall character of the car. If you like the idea of covering the chrome with a wrap, I would suggest looking into it. You can grab a precut on ebay for around $20-25. Let me know what you think. Possible future video idea.....

When I bought my 2019 si as my daily car I wanted the type R which at the time I didn’t mind paying $35-40K for a brand new one but sadly here in Sacramento they all had mark ups and prices were $50-55K so I opted for the Si model and I’m pretty satisfied with it since I had my 2010 Corvette with full bolt on and heavy modified as my track run car. I got rid off my C6 Corvette to order a C8 Corvette but now with everything that is happening with the economy I’m glad I have the Civic Si and I haven’t got even my Corvette C8 car even built yet. I’m curious to see if right now all the mark ups in the type R are gone now? Well I guess we’ll find out in your next video

Question for u Cameron did u get any warranty for your si? I want the 2020 si but I’m scared if i get any type of warranty that means I can’t modify. Can I still mod it under a warranty ? Or no
I did get the standard warranty when I bought it. The cold air intake and exhaust will not void your warranty. those are very, very safe. go ahead and get those, no worries. The tune definitely voids my warranty, but if I blew something, i would flash it back to stock before I brought it in and pray that they fix it under warranty

Have you heard of Suma Performance Side markers? Those are my next choice. Nope! No legal issues. Especially since lots of cars dont even come with them
Cameron Hill cars that don’t have side markers on the fenders generally have an amber side marker within the headlight housing that is visible from the side. Legally you are supposed to have an amber colored side marker, but I’ve yet to see anyone get pulled over for this. In Europe the side markers come with clear plastic instead of orange. There is a law, but it isn’t strictly enforced.

no, not that I have noticed. My driving is also super mixed. lots of highway driving, so still averaging 35 mpg
Honda's Earthdreams turbo engines are much more power dense and efficient than the N/A engines that came before, from an objective, manufacturing, industry standard and performance standpoint it's the way to go. Thats the unbiased judgement but in my own personal opinion, I enjoy the high torque, strong low-mid range engines over the older higher revving engines you had to wind out for power
