VLOG# 32: Testing the Tiger Everest Tip

  • Why did I wait so long to get a new tip? This Tiger Everest tip is a medium but feels very soft to me when I hit with it, then again, I've been playing with a hard compacted 24 year old tip. This should definitely improve my game by 10 folds. I get more reaction to my english with less force due to the grip of the Everest tip. With needing to put less force on the ball, it makes me more accurate. All I need is to get use to the speed.
    Let me know in the comment below what your thoughts are of this tip and what you would recommend for my next tip.

    Can i make a suggestion.. on the stain on the shaft.. i dont think its the felt. Its the red chalk. A friend of mine was given red chalk and his shaft also slowly turn red.. and we play on green felt

    Great tutorial. It's crazy that you had a tip for 24 years without changing wow. I bought a Lucasi Custom had a Kamui med put on when I received my stick I with it less than a day tip fell off pretty much pissed me off. I replaced it with a Elk Master, and since I watched this I might go to the Tiger Everest. Great video some killer drills.

    Hey man I just got myself a new lucasi myself with the same tip, my question is considering this is a big upgrade for me I just wanted to make sure if and when I decide I need to shape the tip a little do I do it the same way I did on my cheaper cue? I just got the cuetec 3&1 and just used the shaper as instructed but I was just wondering because of the more upscale tip if there was a safer way to shape it?

  • @jlin682

    So that old tip/cue was the one you've been playing all your league matches with? Was that your main playing cue?

    • @FaDaVlogs
      @FaDaVlogs  Před 6 lety

      +J Lin yes. I also have a sneaky pete and will start using that for breaks now that I have a new tip. I use to break with my shooting cue but I borrow that black break stick from my teammate sometimes.

    • @jlin682

      +fada vlogs LOL that's hilarious! I find it funny that you're so dedicated the game, play league, practice at home before matches, etc. that you wouldn't think to replace the tip sooner haha...
      You shoot well, so it goes to show that you don't need the latest and greatest. Efren could probably whoop any of us amateur players with a broom...

    • @jlin682
      @jlin682 Před 6 lety +1

      Any reason why you went for the Everest specifically? And not another layered brand like Kamui?
      I only have experience with Le Pro tips so I am figuring out what layered tip to get...
      In Canada, it costs $60 for a Kamui for the tip and installation. This is bananas to me...

    • @FaDaVlogs
      @FaDaVlogs  Před 6 lety

      I've asked around and did my research thru the internet and a lot of people like the Everest tip because it lasts a lot longer than majority of the other tips in the medium range and it grips well. I've also talked to people that have used the Kamui tip and majority of them have to replace the tip within a few months because of issues.
      Here in Las Vegas, the Kamui tip costs about $45 installed and the Everest cost me $35.
