    I am so jealous. You guys are doing exactly what I want to be doing, but my better half is a homebody glued to the US. What a great job of making the math work.
    Not that I get a vote, but I love seeing menu prices.

    Wow, beautiful home! We are on a transatlantic cruise from the US and will be spending 3 months in Europe to see what it is like to slow travel. Will be in Kotor Montenegro on May 8th. Can't wait to see that beautiful country and we will be making the decision about slow travel and doing the Schengen shuffle for our future. Right now we travel the US and Mexico in our van and having a blast. .

    Tq so much for sharing your new home. You both are a great couple. We are all unique individuals and so it’s hard to duplicate what you are doing but we can definitely appreciate your hard work and keep us informed about your progress. Btw, I live in Los Angeles and would love to visit all the places you have visited. But, it’s not easy to get aboard for you also need to have a compatible spouse to synch. You both are blessed in that manner.

      I hope you have an opportunity to see many of these places. We feel so very blessed to have experience so much in the last four years.
      We addressed the topic about spouses, not being in sync with each other for this lifestyle in our last video. It is incredible to us. How many people have asked our advice about this particular subject. We didn’t realize there were so many couples with the dilemma.

    New subscriber here; We are fortunate in that we don't need to leave the Schengen zone, as I have dual U.S. and Italian citizenships, allowing us to live anywhere in the E.U., but we do expect to travel to Montenegro and other east-side-of-the-Adriatic locations. We currently live in the U.S. and are selling our Florida home in late 2024, and moving to Spain. We bought a house in the Malaga area (we close purchase in May 2024), so will be able to further explore Europe at our leisure. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

    Warren & Julie, i thoroughly enjoyed this video and wish to congratulate you both on the purchase of your new home but especially the magnificent transformation of it. When I compare what it ended up costing you and what we would have to pay for a similar home in Sydney with a water view,we would be looking at AUD 1.5 > 2 Million
    Conclusion « YOU’VE DONE EXTREMELY WELL « enjoy it and May it bring you Good Luck .

    As nice as you had renovated the old place, it still looked like a luxurious attic to me. Your new place is phenomenal; so much better. The gold was very tacky and you really fixed it up nicely. Amazing views. The Serbian GF is now an ex but I am still interested in that part of the world and would love to visit, maybe even retire early there myself. Australia keeps just getting worse and worse by the week.

    what is the weather actually like in different times of the year. Also what is the water temperature during those times (lakes vs bays vs seas). Is this a year round destination or best during xyz timeframe? also how long does it take to get around. when i look at roadways i see a lot of meandering, winding kind of roadways single lane. trying to gauge traffice getting around and getting in and out of the country by car. how long does it take you to get to the countries around you by car from where you are? maybe you can do a Montenegro video around logistics and weather if someone decides to use the country as a home base for Europe. trying to also gauge when you do your trips how you handle logistics overall. what is your process? do you map out your whole year from your home base before you leave? how long do you drive before sleeping for a night (especially with dogs travelling). if your 1st stop is more than a day drive to your airbnb do u stay at a hotel inbetween for a night? curious about the logistical details of how you plan and execute a trip from your home base and back.

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  Před 4 měsíci +1

      There are a lot of questions here. We are working on some of these types of videos, but we also have many that we have produced in the past four years answering many of these. We have many friends that stay here full time. There is a mild winter in Montenegro.
      We plan to do a video on how we travel quite soon. It will detail what we pack in our car etc. Yes, we stay in accommodations for the night as needed on our trips.

    Can you share honestly and openly how internationals are changing the affordability for the locals? We in Canada can't afford our own country because of internationals coming in like vultures, paying cash for homes and then upping the price of real estate for the locals. The Canadian laws are slow to protect its own citizens. How do Montenegro people appreciate foreigners upping the price of their homes and probably the prices of everything else?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  Před 2 měsíci

      Unless you received residency in that country through owning a home it would not free us up to travel. To enjoy a home in a Schengen country would reduce the time we have to explore other countries in the zone. Owning outside the zone gives us a place to wait out the clock.

      @@WarrenJulieTravel, I don't understand what you are saying. We have several expat friends. To gain residency is a simple process. , congrats on the new home. I'm a Yank who just moved to Sicily. To get residency was just a matter of doing the paperwork. Even though I speak Italian fluently, I hired an attorney. It took a few months to be approved but there we no hitches. I also bought a flat on the coast. I think I got a better deal than you can do but then again I don’t know anything about real estate in Montenegro. I did pay a little more than you to remodel. Labor costs are higher. Seems we both made the right choice to meet our needs 👍
