Geez @SteveAusin I admire your grit at your age. I retired last year and now I'm 63 yrs old but my has broken down can't do the physical work anymore. God Bless you brother that you still have the stamina ❤
Hey Brian. Actually I've had pretty good luck with cheap led lights. Going to throw in like 8 of of them for a customer next week so we can hurry along and get the place ready to rent. Cheap way and they are bright. When it dies, pop in another. They have their use. Shit I have $20 ones still burning in my house for over 5 years. Thanks for video.
Nice job my friend...... i actually fricking love those jobs.... fun fact ( sometimes reason for early failures on driver on LED fixtures is the switch ) they now sell a bunch of led capable switches but just like anything some are not as good as others and cause the early flicker failure on the fixture..... A new fixture will solve the problem for now but if you have to go back within a year change the switch to another led compatible brand...... great vid as always my friend keep it up 💪 👍
I would agree if it was a dimmer but if there getting full power from a switch I don't see how they could make them fail but who knows lol I'm just a hill Billy 🤷 😅
The cheap LED crap from the big box stores only work a year or two. If you want good ones you have to go to an industrial lighting supply store. The lights I get are about 3 times the cost but they don't go bad.
In the company I worked for in the Phoenix AZ Valley that had over 5000 rental homes us servivce technicians always replaced LED light fixtures with a regular light bulb fixture. The LED fixtures suck and always fail
@@thehandymanexperience226personally instead of adding just electrical tape I'll use the shrink wrap wire stuff you know what I'm talking about He's a little bit of heat and it shrinks around the wire so you don't have to worry about that electrical tape causing a problem later on but that's my opinion just stop bring it up
Electrical tape has been used for over 120 years I think he will be good for a nick in the insulation on a wire 😆..... if it was a soldered joint then yes shrinkwrap but for a small nick in the insulation I think tape will be just fine for as long as he is alive anyways
When I first started change over to LED lamps I went to a big box store and purchased a six pack from two cheating lack of quality control POS communist china companies. 4 of the 12 lamps failed within 90 days and two others produced Morse code ( long & short flashes ). At work we had a Cheating china driver catch on fire and replacement warranty driver started smoking. It was in a 70 degree clean area. Now go way out of my way to only purchase LED'S made in USA. Have 6 CREE LED'S that were made in USA and not one failed in the seven years of usage.
Nice fix brother. Cheers from Pennsylvania!
Thanks man!!! Wooo!

I assume you mean dimmers, not switches. Or maybe smart switches.
@TomCee53 all the above includes switches
@@Britishhandymannj are you suggesting simple on/off(non-dimming, not smart) damage LED lights?

Loose as a goose mama!

Yea they definitely do suck and I installed like all led in my rental. Shake my head
You forgot to blur out the number on the back of your shirt.
That would have been alot of bluring!! It's a good thing I do a decent job lol
