My mom once met Conway Twitty when he was younger and just getting started. He was playing a gig in Nebraska when his car ran out of gas. My mom and her friends stopped to help. They took him to the gas station and then he offered them tickets to see go see the show. It was one of the best experiences of her life.
You really must give a listen to Conway singing "Tight Fitting Jeans" or "That's my Job". You'll dig them

I was working with this lady a bit older than me and we got on the conversation of concerts and she told to tell me about seeing Conway in concert years back. I had the honor ....and thrill of meeting Conway in 1974 while living in Nashville. He was as down to earth and nice as he could be. If you didn't know he was one of the biggest country stars EVER you wouldn't know it by how he acted. I've lived in Tennessee my whole life and one of the saddest days I can remember is when Conway died. Anywhere you went in this state there were signs that simply said GOODBYE DARLIN' 😥 If you can please listen to his song Hello Darlin' . He had a lot of big hits but that one was his biggest.
