One of his grandsons was singing this song in school. The teacher asked what he was singing and he said a Conway Tweety song, that's how a 5 year old says Twitty. He said Conway was his grandfather and the teacher didn't believe him, so she called his mom and told her what happened. She said the same thing and once again the teacher didn't believe her. Conway happened to be in town that week and took his grandson to school, and asked his grandson where his teacher was. He pointed at her and Conway walked over and said "hello darlin" and after that his grandson could sing whatever he wanted to.

This is a beautiful love song. The 2 sexiest voices in Country Music are Marty Robbins and Conway Twitty! Conway sang to the Ladies & we still miss & love him. He wrote a lot of great songs. My favorite is "You've never been this far before." Conway had 55 #1 hits. He would of had more, but passed away at 59. Any song of his you will love. In Country music Conway is known as "The best friend a song ever had!" He knew a hit when he wrote or heard it. You also need to listen to the duets Conway did with Loretta Lynn. My favorite " Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man."
I'm sure many have given you a list of songs to listen to. So l'm not going to. Just know, Conway sang to the ladies. He's the only one in Country Music that could get away with it. You missed the photo of Conway with Loretta Lynn they recorded several pieces together, one of those is When I hang up the phone Loretta is really showing off her voice . Also one that I have never seen anyone cover by Conway is Tight fitting jeans. It's only make believe, and the big hit is Hello Darling. One more you being a Dad, can relate That's my job.

He has many great songs, kinds of what they call a crooner maybe? "Hello Darlin'", "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" duet w/ Loretta Lynn, "Tight Fittin' Jeans", "Slow Hand", "Don't Call Him a Cowboy" are just some of my faves.

I was rock and roll in the 70s, but there was a little country bar that was a blast and I loved playing this on the jukebox from time to time.

Legend. Not only one of the very best silky-smooth country crooners to ever hit the charts, but also a stone cold panty dropper. In other comments sections I have referred to him as "the Teddy Pendergrass or Luther Vandross of country." When his songs came on the radio, housewives with their hair in curlers would swoon at the ironing board. He was a KILLA. And yes, this particular song is about the lasting love of a solid marriage, and how he will always want to get busy with his wife for the rest of his life, even long past his ability to even get busy anymore. Now that's love. LOL

Also, his grandson and Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter are now a duo. They did a remake of Conway and Loretta’s hit, “Feelings”, that video is epic!

When it comes to country music, Conway Twitty is the best! How about checking out "It's Such a Heartache", "You'll Never Know", "I Hurt For You" or "Slow Hand."

Conway was a "heart throb" for us older Baby Boomers. You gotta hear his "hello Darlin, " which became the "pick up line" for every man in the country.
