NOW an gtr omega alpha... now that's over a 200k investment... and the fastest a gtr alpha omega went was 7 seconds. So... for a car that's 70k over a 200k car that's just 1 second slower... I'd say the mustang owner did a pretty damn good job of saving money.

Its all about the imports as of late you could be driving around in a 14 sec import and you will be given more credit of being fast than a 12 sec mustang these days. This mustang was driven to the track to and still laid down a few 8 sec passes on 14 psi of boost, and beat a 1200hp gtr, that is a sleeper in my books.

The concept car from 2008 I believe it was? Was styled much better. Overall it was a bit smaller in dimensions and had a lower profile, I don't even care for the styling of the production 5th gen at all, inside or out. They're fucking boats and if the Challenger didn't exist it'd be the heaviest and biggest POS late model muscle car on the road.
That's bad ass Mustang. Hell I would settle for the 3.7L v6 with a turbo slap on it. For what I've spent on my Grand National, I could have bought a 3.7L v6 stang and bought a turbo kit for it and have a 10s daily driver.
not really that easy. I'm at 12lbs of boost on my 3.7 and 474rwhp. low 11s. To get into 10s you have to take the dd out of it and go slicks skinnies and up the boost or go nitrous and it gets a little scarry for the block.

Cool. I read quite a bit about the 3.7l v6 block. Even though Ford didn't slap a turbo on the engine, it would appear that it does have huge untapped potential. The block sounds like the aftermarket TA performance block available for the GN. Aluminum block, 6 bolt, cross-bolted, mains and complete forged rotating assembly. I think the 3.7l uses cast cylinder sleeves, whereas the aftermarket block has stainless steel cylinder sleeves. However, the TA block, plus rotating assembly, heads, intake, etc cost at a minimum of $15k to build. Anyway, enjoy your ride.
+sinusbradycardia the lower design is good to 550ish crank safely. above that it gets a little sketchy. there are a couple that have blew them in the forums above there. I haven't had any issues with mine yet but I also am running a conservative tune. and 93 only
