Did the same (rented a T6 from Easirent), then bought a nice Westfalia T4 and saved ourselves the best part of £40k. Loved the T6 but I think I’d be too precious with it to enjoy it properly.
Dave Day agreed! We ruled a conversion out early doors as the sliding bench seat in the Westy/Cali was a must. Once conversions start fitting these then you’re well into California money anyway but without the build quality and rock-solid residuals. 2-seater Beach was considered and in hindsight may have worked as we don’t use the kitchen that much but finding a decent spec with storage, night heater etc was much harder with the Beach. Happy hunting :)
@@daveday You are welcome Dave. Well, you might look at the Club Joker City, but then it does scrafice space for that wc as it is short wheel base. But with good camping sites the Cali might be the better choice. And the fact that you can service it by a much more common vw handler. Have fun with it, whatever you migh choose :)

There are so many ways/options to get into owning a VW camper. My calculator has never been used as much :)

Hi, after months of looking at our various options, we bought a caravan! :) A Bailey Discovery D4-2 seemed like the best option for us.

Nice drone video :) If you dont mind the long wheel base (+30 cm) I would consider the Kepler one (L shaped sofa + wc).
Hi Tamas, Thanks for the suggestion. The Kepler One looks amazing, unfortunately the extra length means it wouldn't fit on my drive however.
