A 20 minute software update while sitting in the garage since then, the 0-60 of the Tesla is now 2.9 and a higher top speed.... all included in the price... which is still cheaper than every car in that line up BTW....

Exactly 40 years ago, when I was about 6, we went on holiday to Cornwall. I put a few pennies in a whishing well and wished that one day I'd get a John Player Special racing car. Sadly, the wishing well didn't work. :)

1. Speed limits. Tesla is faster all they way until you start breaking the law.
2. Not a single damn petrol car in the same price range or Bellow is faster.
3. Electric cars have longer range than petrol cars now days. Meaning you charge overnight, meaning you never spend any valuable time stoping to refuel.
4. You can charge a Tesla to go to another country by range standards in less than an hour on fast chargers.
Super/sports cars sound really cool but they are just not fast compared to electric cars anymore. All they have is sound and by 2020 more designs to choose from.
There are some beautiful and amazing sounding cars out there but they are overpriced and slow. Not meaning they aren't fun though.
I have Volvo v90 d5 255hp 0-60mph 7seconds. A Tesla will annihilate me anytime of the day.

Yeah on the drag strip, a 720s does 2.0 from 0-60 on a drag strip so no big deal

@@provigilandchill: it's not my logic, I took my s performance to a local race track and did three runs. 2.2 10.4, 2.3 10. 4.5 2.5 10.6. It did start pooping out on the 3rd run. Remember, this was at ludicrous plus mode. It runs about 3.0 in sport mode.

Mike Wright they also never had the spoiler installed so the top speed was limited to 145mph instead of 162mph
