    • @RCConstructionHobby
      @RCConstructionHobby  Před 3 lety

      I believe it will do more on tge battery mah as I use a 2200 because it put it in the cab. So a higher mah should be no issue. I think the 2000ma is for esc as to not overload on power.

    • @RCConstructionHobby
      @RCConstructionHobby  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes it will be fine. It does not matter the capacity. Capacity makes no difference as it has no bearing on power. What is more important is the C rating and cell count. This particular system is rated to a 3 cell count. Anything above will cause problems. So you should be good with 5000mah. The ESC is where you might run into issues as some don't play well with this sound system.

      The system comes with a built in esc. If you wanted to bypass the built in esc that is something I'm not sure how the configuration would be. In other kits like beier or dasmikro you connect the esc to the sound system then to the reciever. Only way it to check the facebook pages for others who have tried this method out.

      You can use the balance plug for power to the unit. It also comes with an extra deans connector to plug into your battery. So you would need a y harness to connect the 2 batteries and then a connection to the deans connector to the unit. You can do both ways. I am currently using a deans y harness to connect the esc and gt power and then deans to the battery. 2s or 3s will work fine.

      Did you try the esc and motor without the sound kit? Did it work? The only thing that should be plugged into the sound kit is the servo lead from the esc. The esc will be connected to a power source as well. If you followed my video only thing I can think of is test the esc and motor without the sound module. Also, make sure that the servo leeds are matching the channel you are moving on the transmitter. Some recievers may have different channels setup. Example mode 1 or mode 2

      There are 2 little jumpers on the esc. Do you have them on f/b/r? If not try that. Also, on your tx are the sticks set for the right channels? Make sure when you plug it in that the esc which runs the motor is turned on first before any other esc if you have multiple esc.

      @RCConstructionHobby  Před 2 lety

      I agree it says should be 7.4v but I do use 11.1v 3s lipo because the motors are rated for that. I have not had any issues with power damaging the module. It has been working perfect for the past 2 years. Use what you feel comfortable with. 7.4v or 11.1v. Just know 7.4v will change the power output to the motors and slow things down and lose some torque.

      when you turn on the lights the red lights will turn on in the rear. if you reverse the reverse lights should come on. if you turn off the lights the red lights turn off. they do not come on when you stop. It does not work like other kits. if you want it to work like the real trucks you will want to look at the gt power truck pro kit which has an esc built in and you can manage the lights and brake lights work when you are stopped with the main lights on or off. hope that helps.

    Thank you!! I've been frustratingly searching for Videos on the various Sound and Lights Systems.... Only coming up with CRAP Videos with poor info, shot from 20 feet away, and mostly in Asian Language with Asian Language Comments. Might have been OK with some Visual and Audio clues and references.... But there WEREN'T any. 😖😞😠
    Sorry! Off the Soapbox....
    I would like to hear more of the Sounds.... And the Engine at a little higher volume. Nearly ALL of the cheap Kits have Engine files that when you rev up - it sounds like an 80's Video Game. 😖👎👎 With very generic Diesel Sound.
    Now, I've been in the Hobby for more than a few Decades... I KNOW not to expect Scale accurate Sounds for under 50 bucks. But it doesn't have to sound like ass either!!
    I'll probably hook it up very similar to yours, because I've also got a FlySky FSi6 Radio. I've got a bunch of extra LEDs though...
    It's a Grand Hauler, and I'm definitely going all out! I've got 8 LEDs just in the Dashboard, with several more going to the Interior Lights and CB Radio. Plus extra Running Lights...
    I may end up running those off of separate Channels - with BECs.
    And I'll be running a Hobbywing WP1080 ESC, because I'll need a LOT of Drag Brake!!
    Well..... After writing WAY too much, I do want to know, since you've had yours for quite a while.
    Is it any good? I mean, was it even worth what you paid for it?
    I COULD spend the $300+ on a Beier or MFC... Likely Beier, because Tamiya MFC only comes with ONE Sound Set, is NOT Lipo Compatible, and I'm told that my 20kg Steering Servo will make the MFC BROWN OUT!! Not for that kind of Money!
    But there seems to be a lot of reviews on this GT Power, and the ESS-One (but that one is strictly a non Commercial Vehicle System). So I'm hoping it's somewhat worthwhile.
    LESU makes one too, the 3T. It has 3 different Diesel Engine Sounds loaded. However, almost nobody in the First or Second World has reviewed it! I don't know what to think. And it's $140...
    I'll end here. 😖 If you made it this far, thank you!
