There’s a sad truth about cars: not all of them are considered “cool” by enthusiasts. I mean let’s face it, not every car can be a Corvette C8. But that doesn’t mean uncool cars can’t be fun to drive! This is a list of 9 cars that are certifiable rippers, even if most people wouldn’t look twice in traffic!

Donut Media MOM I DID IT I AM FIRST ONNN THISSSS COMMENTTTTT YEEEESSSSSSS
I liked first tho
My current car, the nissan Juke nismo. Fun little car even tho its odd looking.
Uyr Deshan cool
My mom bought the tiny Mazda 5 mini van and when I was learning to drive I thought it was so fast. That thing whipped lol
"Driving slow cars fast is way more fun than driving fast cars slow" - I couldn't agree more!
Jay Leno said this a long time ago, still agree.
It's pretty obvious tho
**Tinnitus randomly intensifies**
Absolutely right
Very true
I still remember flooring my i10 down back roads, slow af but so much fun
All day everyday...Anything over 200bhp is undriveable on the road. If it is then you cant drive.
No one in the world is ever ready with James going suddenly shirtless and singing with his belly

I had a Yaris, flipped it like 3 time. I highly recommend coil overs if you're gonna be speeding through elevations.
damn 3 times?? 💀
Lol
Yeah I had a few close calls too xD
I also drive a Yaris, gen 2, 2006. Man, I love that car, it's super roomy for it's small size and weight, so reliable and fuel efficient, but IT'S NOT A SPORTY car at all. Maybe newer ones are, but this one IS NOT, and it's not a good idea to recommend it as such at all. It's a tall, narrow, low-length and lightweight car, and as such - kinda prone to steering issues, sliding or rolling over, just like other similar cars - A class, Twingo etc.
@@millancche TRD lowering springs and rear sway bar actually makes this car fun to drive. Lower, less tippy, less understeer.
Most fun I've ever had at a track was racing in a Yugo race. They made less horsepower than a garbage disposal, but everyone couldn't stop laughing the entire race. Also, it was only 20 laps on a half mile oval and only 4 of the 12 cars finished 🤣
What were the race ending injuries to the cars that didn’t finish?
@@MilkDrinker218 the other 8 broke down before they could finish
@@erichicks91 yeah, I’m asking what broke on them
My friend actually bought a Yugo that was used for rally racing some 10 years ago lol.
James: "You look at the Yaris and what do you see?"
Me: "Yaris Hilton!"

✌️
Im kinda disappointed that they didn't put Yaris Hilton in the video

James coming at us with some bars today
Can someone please tell me what that means?
@@MrManerd The first generation of the Prius, XW10 (1997-2003), was not imported into the the US.
@@lokisgodhi No, no,,, What does "bars" mean. I've started hearing this in Epic Rap battles and now in the youtube comments, and googleing it doesn't tell me squat.
@@MrManerd Couldn't tell you. Rap sucks. Don't listen to it.
@@MrManerd in this usage it's like a double entendre in rap. Bars are when you say one thing but it also means something else, or when you flip something around in rap. So prius, pre US, kind of a bar
As someone that was just gifted a base model Yaris, and drove it from Virginia to New Mexico. I am glad to see it on this list. I was binge listing to your videos on the cross country drive back and it actually got me really excited to do my own work and put some mods on it. I’ve never been a car guy, but your videos have changed that. Really looking forward to getting to know this little car better!
I was the youngest in a family of 5 when our main car was a 5 speed manual, 2 door yaris. We went on vacations, hockey tournaments, etc in that tiny little car. It was a tank. I learned to drive manual in it. Wish I'd kept it because I'd be rallying it as we speak.

The Yaris is only a rebadged Mazda in the states, everywhere else the Yaris it’s is own model but keep the great work up guys.
To add to that, if i remember correctly, only the current gen US spec Yaris is a rebadged Mazda 2, the older US spec Yaris (the blue one they showed) was mostly Toyota.
Frequently Modulated yup and the Mazda 2 rebadge is from 2015 to present if I’m not mistaken.
but still a really peppy and zippy bois
The Toyota yards is only a rebaged Mazda after 2015
@@raomar0 Only the 2015-present Yaris sedans are rebadged Mazda 2's. All 4 generations of the Yaris hatchbacks are designed and built by Toyota. Also for 5 years, I owned a 2012 3-door hatch 1.5 with a manual transmission and the 0-60mph time is 8.5 seconds, not the 9.6 seconds it mentions in the video.
Pump is not kidding about the Sidekicks off-road fun. There was a off-road club near me that consisted mostly of Trackers and Sidekicks. My best friend had one that was lifted on 33in tire. Absolute Armageddon Machine. Unstoppable.
One of my favorite cars I’ve owned was a 95 Toyota Tercel, 2 door 5 speed. It was like a go-kart, but slower. My buddy had a 4speed 4 door Tercel, we used to have so much fun with them
Hell yeah, I’ve had my 95 Tercel for almost 20 years, little 2 door with a 4spd manual, it’s not fast but it’s definitely fun to drive because it’s crazy light. I put some 15” Miata wheels and tires on it. 330k and it just won’t die
I had a 91 Corolla ( last generation to be considered a sub-compact) 100% agree with the go-kart but damn it was my favourite car

Fun fact: Toyota uses the yaris as their rally car in the wrc championship
That's a good fun fact for people who don't know about yaris
And it's FWD?
fun FARCE you mean ^^
Like how the Ford Fiesta hatchback is a really cool rally car, not even just the ST models.
That 6 speed manual
One of my favorite cars I've had was an 04 xB - the TRD lowering springs and some halfway decent tires allowed it to be absolutely flung around corners, but then you could haul a stack of six pallets or a loveseat in the back (I've done both). They were on the same platform as the early Yaris, but with somewhat shorter gearing.
Also, tortoises have stompy feet, turtles have flippy feet.
In my opinion, 2007 Peugeot Partner 1.4i with a straigh pipe. Its a white little van from Peugeot that makes loads of noise but still goes slow. The way people look at you driving it is just priceless. I had fun with mine until the fuel pump died, parked it for the past 10 months since you need to drop the tank to change it. I installed LPG as well for extra cheap drip

Been daily-ing a first gen xB for about 9 years now and while there are obviously better cars available, this thing has never let me down. Actually goes decent in the snow, and the community around this car was super supportive. Cool to see it mentioned on Donut for a longer period in this video 😄
My first car was a Geo tracker. I loved that thing. Living in the middle of nowhere in pennsylvania, it was the perfect car to take to school and then take on atv trails 😂 I'd love to get another one but they're getting real hard to find in decent shape

Truer words have never been spoken.
I'll never forget how amazed I was when my friend drove us in a Mk1 Golf diesel. I just bought a #7 from this list! Like 2 months ago I bought an 04 XB . It’s my secondary car I use for work as a delivery driver around the city but I love it, and other than a windshield leak, I had no issues in the last 2 months I had it.
I had a 2004 Scion XB, and it was one of the most fun cars I ever had (and reliable - I forgot how to open the hood). I bought it because it was 'nimble'. I even slid it around corners a few times. I wish they would bring it back - it was so fun, and roomy, and practical, and reliable.
A cereal advertisement by a CZcamsr? I almost cried tears of joy for finally seeing a different product for a change... Everyone seems to have the same 4 sponsers. I'm speechless.

I see Yaris Hilton.
At least 1/5 of them were blue.
*I drove a Stock Yaris to victory on Forza Motorsport 3.*
My dad had a 2002 Toyota Yaris sport and it was one of the most enjoyable cars I’ve ever been in. It was like a go kart for the streets. We went on long road trips in it and had no problems with it. Yeah it was loud at 120kmh and over but still super fun! Man I miss that car 😞
My dad had a '93 ford festival and I miss it so dearly.
My dad just bought a 2019 Yaris hatchback with a manual and it is a blast to throw it around corners. Its stock and handles better than my trans am which has a fully built suspension
I fell in love with the Yaris since they made it a rally car. Absolute unit of a Yaris.
Aygo can also be cool (even smaller than Yaris econobox).

I gotta agree with James I used to hate the scion xb until my s.o's mother made me drive when they invited me to dinner and to this day I appreciate them and always look forward to drive there car whenever I get invited for dinner
I learned to drive in a 5-door Subaru Justy with selective 4WD. It may have had an anemic 3 cylinder engine, but some of the most fun I’ve had driving was flogging that thing downhill in the winter.
Hey man’s Subarus are cool a lot of them have all wheel drive

Daihatsu Charade: Am i a Joke to you?
Another fun one is the honda fit surprisingly its a slow car looks like a grandma car but I have drifted that thing on grave around 90 degree turns going 40. The automatic has a 5 speed with paddle shifters. Its actually pretty fun to drive on dirt roads and treat it like a rally car and if you mod it it could probably come out as a pretty ok rally car.
I think the main reason the Saturn Sky didn't sell is at the same time is they were also selling the Pontiac Solstice which for what ever reason was $2-5000 cheaper. Where I live the people who bought the Solstice were fanatics that held onto them for years because they loved them.
"Eight more seconds of driving that I get to have"
James is onto something there with that one. I mean, think about it, you guys like driving right? So why not drive more? Genius.
"It's the smallest car in Toyota's lineup"
*Sad Toyota Aygo and Agya noises*
Sad IQ noices
Sad that they're too cramped for me, I would've get one cuz they look fun.
I tried driving a Suzuki Cappuccino... it didn't end well for my legs. If I tried fitting in an Aygo, I'd snap my legs in 2.
@@ziggy3237 2015 Aygo is pretty roomy inside. I'm 1.87m and it was fine. The car is fun to drive. =)
In europe, Toyota Aygo and Agya are actually the yaris but they look different.
I have the Prius V/ Prius Alpha now. And I have to agree though it has a less cool look, the driving experience
on it is just awesome!
I've been fortunate enough to experience many amazing cars but for pure joy and memory making - nothing beats a manual 4x4 geo tracker
“The Toyota Yaris is the smallest car in Toyotas lineup”
Aygo: am I a joke to you?
They don't have it in the US! And the new Yaris for the US is a Mazda 2 with a rebadge but in Europe, the new Yaris is a completely new car!
Toyota iq: am I a joke to you

I'm on my second manual Yaris. I went from the 2007 sedan to the 2 door hatch 2008. SO MUCH FUN! I can't believe they stopped making Yaris.... What other car is that fun with such good gas mileage?! And comfortable!
I almost bought a first-owner, 15k miles first gen Yaris a while back. Sadly I couldn't resist another boring car that's equally slow so I bought a tiny Daihatsu 😂
It has the same 1.3 motor as the Yaris. Not fast but an absolute riot to drive.
@@Isaiah-ft5nx you dont know about the yaris gr ?

I love my prius. It's 15 years old. Previous owner put a lovely aftermarket JBL sound system that makes the mirrors all blurry. It sips fuel still. It's not powerful, but the electric motor gives it torque. It gets up steep hills faster than most cars on the road. It's easy and comfortable to drive.
I’ve had a beautiful low down blue modified coupe and a roaring V5 but the car I will always miss was my 1.6 Skoda Felicia.
It weighed less than a tonne so it was Chuck-able and I could absolutely hoon it everywhere without getting in trouble

Prius 2 Eco, 121 hp, 3k lbs, power mode = sooooo sooo fun. Having the immediate acceleration from the electric engine makes it really enjoyable and useful to beat beefier cars out of a light when they're in the lane that you need to be in. Also, a blast on curvy mountain roads. Sliding around turns and punching it halfway through. Drive it like you stole it and still get 53 mpg is a win in my book
Once saw a Buick Roadmaster on a Camping ground in the Netherlands. It was longer than half the caravans there and the guy who owned it ended up telling everyone everything about it all day long. It was basically the center of attention for a week. He refilled 4 times between Berlin and the destination, averaging about 5 mpg ^^

It's the euro biodegradable plastics I think
iirc they use some kind of wax to protect the interior which is sick in the first ten years but then it starts to melt and makes your car smell like a kindergarten classroom. 90's and early 2000s Mercedes smell the same way.
Lmao I dated a girl who had a diesel beetle and I swear I tore her car apart looking for the 10 year old crayon smell
