- I will be showing you how to remove the orange flash hider from your airsoft MP7. This can be useful for replacing the old with a new flash hider or for installing a mock suppressor/ barrel extension. I did my best to break down all the details you'll need to be successful and how to overcome any hiccups you may encounter. I pray you find this tutorial helpful and that you'll be blessed!
You don't need to remove the entire top rail to get to the flash hider. All you needed to do is press the tab right under the hand stop and pull up slightly.
Dear all,
Just made an order for a new hop up bucking by the way, so hopefully I’ll have an installation video in the not so distant future! Also I bought some CQB Russian HPA valves, as I’m considering converting the gun to an HPA setup. I’ll post if those go well too :)
dude your an angel ive been wondering for so long thank you :D
Glad to hear this helped you!
Fuck yeah dude thanks for the video I watched this with no audio (babe was asleep) and I was still able to get it off
Thanks so much man this help a lot
Best youtuber
Thanks man your the best
Love u bro, this helped a lot!
Glad to hear! 😄
helped a ton!! THANKS!!
What a GOATed name
Thank you for this Video !!!! I read below that you do infact have to remove the stock orange flash end the gun comes with in order to install the power up . Thank you Nick the Quick!!!
Haha I just saw this after replying to your previous comment. I’m glad you found what you were looking for! No problem 😌👌🏼
@@nickthequick5740 Dude, I hope you realize how many guys n gals you have helped, and continue to help even after 2 years of your post, it was articulate, insightful, and true to the game, thats what ppl like to see, raw true video with no cutting or editing, so we can see and learn. Thanks again Nick!!!
Excuse me.......4 years!!!
@@rmoreno6014 wow your comment made me smile! Thank you for saying that. I’m so glad to hear it helped you and has helped a bunch of other people too 😁
Thanks a lot. we just got this gun and a tracer for it, and didn't know how to attach it.
Thank you so much man, I'm also wondering if youll be doing any future videos of upgrading the internals
Eavesdropping hey you’re welcome! I’m happy I could help you out. And yes I plan to do some videos in the future once I get a new, longer inner barrel and probably a hop up bucking and nub. It can definitely be tricky disassembling the MP7, so I’ll try and break it down for you guys!
Helped me figure out how to use my mock suppressor since it doesn't come with manuals haha, thanks!
Hahaha it’s a bit tricky for sure. If it’s similar to the one I have in this video, I show you how to put it on towards the end. If it’s a different one, there may be another method you have to use. What kind of mock suppressor do you have?
@@nickthequick5740 Oh no I meant you showed me how-- I got an angel custom one and the mechanism is the exact same as the one you showed in the video. Had no idea you needed to push it to the side to slip it on until I saw you do it lol
MoonlightBridge
ohhh 🤣 yeah I definitely misread your comment. Thank you for clarifying anyway. I’m glad I was able to help you out :D
@@nickthequick5740 heya help I’m having a hard time screwing the screw back in (the one with the spring) it keeps flying out idk if I’m doing it wrong or not
You don’t need to do any of that removal of the sites Allen screws or anything. Take a wrench or pliers clamp it to the flat spot right behind the openings in the flash hider turn left and it will come off.
If possible, could you link that specific mock suppressor/barrel
CobblerYT sure thing. evike.com/products/35722/
I need a quick answer, once you removed the flash hider are you still able to attach for example a tracer or would you need the tracer unit to go over the flash hider like the power up suppressors, reason I ask is because a friend of mine has a loudencer but there's no way that it would fit of the flash hider so if I remove I'm basically asking if I can attach the accessories directly to the thread where the flash hider screws on to?
Ryan _ yes of course you can attach tracers/ mock suppressors or whatever you want to the threads. Just as long as the attachments themselves have the correct threading (12 mm CW). This one I have in the video is just an example of one that goes over the flash hider instead.
If your attachment is 14 mm CCW (which many are) you’ll have to buy a 12 mm CW to 14 mm CCW adapter which you screw on the threads first and then whatever attachment after.

Thanks for this video, it was super helpful, especially for a beginner! I’m curious about one thing though... Would you have been able to install the suppressor with the stock flash hider? Or do you need to screw on the flash hider that came with the suppressor?
RavenZero4 I’m so glad to hear it helped you! And yes, you are able to place this particular suppressor over the stock orange flash hider. The only thing I’ve heard/seen advising against that is that sometimes bb’s may end up hitting the inside of the suppressor when using the stock flash hider instead of the one provided with it. But I personally have not tested that. Hope that answers your question!
NickTheQuick thank you for the info!! Yes I’ve heard that some suppressors (like the Angel Custom QD Power Up+) won’t fit because the stock flash hider is too thick. Can you confirm if this was the suppressor you got, it’s the Matrix QD Special Force: evike.com/products/35722/
RavenZero4 hmm that’s interesting about the Angel Custom. I’ll go home today and reconfirm that the Matrix qd works with the stock flash hider, but yes, that’s the correct link to the one I purchased!
NickTheQuick thanks so much for the support I truly appreciate it :) and I’m sorry for all the fuss!
RavenZero4 you’re very welcome, I’m just glad I can help someone! And no worries at all, I understand wanting to get answers to questions before you make a decision :-)
The suppressor you used is sold out but is there another one you recommend for this gun? Great vid by the way.
Dominick Ramirez Hey I appreciate the feedback! I honestly have not looked too much into other suppressors, but I suggest one that you think looks nice and that is not too long (that is, if you don’t plan on changing the inner barrel length. The matrix QD suppressor I have here is extremely long, and the bbs ended up hitting the end of it a lot before I upgraded to a longer inner barrel length- which solved this problem). Also keep in mind that the threading on the kwa mp7 comes stock as 12mm CW (+). Many suppressors on the market that are not mp7 specific are 14mm CCW (-). If that’s the case of the one you choose, you’ll need to also buy a 12mm (+) to 14 mm (-) adapter, which are only about $15. I hope this helps!
@@nickthequick5740 so would this one work?

Dominick Ramirez www.evike.com/products/51298/
If you really would like something similar, Im almost certain this is basically a complete replica of the Matrix QD suppressor I have in this video. Just about everything looks the same, except this one has some trade marks
Edit: my bad, this one is out of stock too
Does the power up silencer attatchment come with a flash hider? Is the purpose of removing the original orange flash end the gun comes with, is to put a new flash hider that the power up silencer comes with? I guess my question is, cant you just install the power up silencer out of the box, onto the gun? Or does it comes with a flash end you must install on the gun to make the power up work??
I’ve never owned the power up suppressor, but it is quite similar to this one I have here I believe. And I think you’re correct when you say it comes with a new flash hider which is compatible and necessary for the suppressor. I had someone ask me a similar question before and I tried attaching my suppressor in this video with the stock orange one and they did NOT pair together. For whatever reason the stock orange flash hider must have some slight differences to the aftermarket ones which don’t allow you to mount onto it
To answer your other questions, It’s quite common for airsoft suppressors to come with the necessary flash hider to mount to, as they more often than not don’t fit onto the orange one. If you want a specific suppressor (because you like it’s style or color) that is not mp7 specific, you may have to buy an adapter. The mp7’s usually come with a 12mm threading and many airsoft suppressors (not specific for the mp7) have 14mm threads. You simply have to get a 12 to 14 mm adapter and you’ll be good to go. Let me know if this clarifies things for you! And ask anything else you need
Thankyou for the video. However, all I did was take a 10mm wrench to it and it came right off.
E. Ward Haha sometimes the simplest route is the best one. Whatever gets you to where you wanna be 😁
@@nickthequick5740 I did take it apart like you did only I didn't heat it up in water. I am returning it though because after just one gas mag fired with bursts it quit. CO2 mag wouldn't even load. Junk if you ask me or maybe they sent me a lemon.
@@DonnieTrump-lp6dx i can't tell you about the CO2 mags, but i recently got one with 4 green gas mags and got to use it for about 8 hours at an event with no issues. The only problem with mine is that one of the body pins is a bit janky, but it only makes disassembly a little more difficult and doesn't affect performance.
@@jdjk7 I wonder if the powerup extension may have something to do with it. Anyway, thanks.
A hair dryer will work fast to heated up the lLocktite they put on the muzzle brake.
Just have some one hold it down and the with a screwdriver put it between the flash hider and turn counter clockwise he’s just going the extra mile
Whatever works and whatever you’re comfortable doing :) for me this was a new gun and i wanted to take care not to mess anything up by accident.
does the water go into the inner barrel when you do this?
Zach Hudkins it just depends on how much water you pour into your cup. The tricky part is you have to allow the flash hider to be deep enough in so that the threading is submerged under the water. You can take care not to pour too much in, so it won’t go into the inner barrel, but even if water gets into the barrel it won’t damage it (metal needs a lot more heat to be messed up than water’s boiling point). You should probably dry it after if that’s the case.
Where did you get the suppressor?
Evike.com
You’ll want to look up suppressors that fit the threads for this mp7 though, which are 12mm positive 👍🏼
what kind of threads does it have? 12mm negative?
nvm, after some sleuthing i found it was positive. Thx for the video though! it'll definitely come in handy
Yup was gonna tell you it’s 12mm + but nice job! Glad the video was useful to you
Is this the same as the Elite Force/Umarex?
Sorry for the late reply! My initial thought is that the KWA one here is slightly different because it’s a gas blow back airsoft gun, while the EF/umarex mp7 is an AEG version. I’m not entirely sure, but that’s my understanding at this moment
Sorry mate, but your adding way too many steps. I came to this video because I have that exact gun wanting to install that exact suppressor. I skipped to the boiling water to loosen the flashhider from the glue and took it right off and installed it just fine - those extra instructions just overcomplicates things & adds annoying steps that aren't really necessary. Good video though and you did help inform me about that deceptive suppressor needing to be pushed down at the end.
