KWA H&K MP7: (CQB) Bolt Installation/ Exchange
This is a simple tutorial on how to install the cqb bolt into your airsoft MP7 (Note: this is a reversible process as well).
My main goal with this video is to add it to a playlist I’m creating which contains all the info/knowledge I have on how to take care of or improve your KWA MP7.

Alright folks, it’s been a long time coming for this video to be made. This is a full disassembly of the KWA H&K MP7 in order to change your hop up bucking, nub, or inner barrel. I did my very best to detail each step, but if you need some clarification I will do my best to answer whatever questions you all have! Also, I will be posting a detailed reassembly video, so be sure to check that out ...
Elite Force M4 CQB Overview

Happy New Year everyone! Today I wanna show you guys my M4 AEG and what is dandy about it. I've been very impressed with it so far and with its reasonable price tag, I would defnitely recommend it if you're looking to get started in airsoft. Its rail space makes it great for adding attachments, and its stock hop-up bucking and nub has actually done a great job! It hops my .25 and .28s nicely. A...
KWA H&K MP7 Flash Hider Removal (Step-by-Step Tutorial)
zhlédnutí 14KPřed 5 lety
I will be showing you how to remove the orange flash hider from your airsoft MP7. This can be useful for replacing the old with a new flash hider or for installing a mock suppressor/ barrel extension. I did my best to break down all the details you'll need to be successful and how to overcome any hiccups you may encounter. I pray you find this tutorial helpful and that you'll be blessed!
What bucking use?
Fuck yeah dude thanks for the video I watched this with no audio (babe was asleep) and I was still able to get it off
Great video, I like that it had sections that are labeled so I can skip to what I need to know!
very informative. helped me a lot! I still dont know what my problem is :(
These videos have been lifesavers. Really appreciate all of the detail. Really well done. Thanks again.
You don't need to remove the entire top rail to get to the flash hider. All you needed to do is press the tab right under the hand stop and pull up slightly.
Thank you bro I just got the CQB bolt for this thing and this made it super easy to follow
Love to hear that. All the best to you!
where can i buy a new oem outer barrel?
Hmm that’s a good question. I’ll try to look into that and see if I find anything
I have umarex mp7 gbb,,but there is a problem with the bolt...does the mp7 kwa part compatible with umarex?? Please reply..im very confused😢
I believe they are different and incompatible bc the KWA mp7 is not quite 1:1 scale. I believe the umarex is 1:1 so parts for each would not fit in the other. Hope this helps!
@@nickthequick5740 thanks
Thanks a lot. we just got this gun and a tracer for it, and didn't know how to attach it.
Best youtuber
Thanks man :) Unfortunately i still can't figure out what's wrong with my gun :/
I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you were able to get it figured out. I originally had a used KWA mp7 from ebay and was able to get help from elite force/ KWA themselves. They actually just ended up sending me a new one as a replacement b/c they weren't able to repair it. Not half bad if I may say so myself. You may want to reach out to them for help if you still haven't got it fixed!
@@nickthequick5740 thanks for the reply. It is completely fucked? It's some very specific parts that's broken. Rather just buy a new one.
Thanks so much man this help a lot
Nice this is what i am looking for before buying this one so that i can clean it hehe
200+ IQ plays, I like it 😁
Nice this is what i am looking for before buying this one so that i can clean it hehe
I have a problem with my KWA MP7 it jamming all the time!! it cannot go through 1 mag without jamming. I have checked everything inside nozzle hop etc. it is fine. Can help me??
Yeah it helps a lot, thanks bud ! But It regrets me disassembling the trigger . Lol!
You don’t need to do any of that removal of the sites Allen screws or anything. Take a wrench or pliers clamp it to the flat spot right behind the openings in the flash hider turn left and it will come off.
Just followed this video and your reassembly video to install my extended inner barrel. I was very nervous going into it but thanks to your videos it was smooth sailing! Thanks man I really appreciate it!
So happy to hear all went smoothly! Have fun, and thank you for the comment 😄
Thank you for this Video !!!! I read below that you do infact have to remove the stock orange flash end the gun comes with in order to install the power up . Thank you Nick the Quick!!!
Haha I just saw this after replying to your previous comment. I’m glad you found what you were looking for! No problem 😌👌🏼
@@nickthequick5740 Dude, I hope you realize how many guys n gals you have helped, and continue to help even after 2 years of your post, it was articulate, insightful, and true to the game, thats what ppl like to see, raw true video with no cutting or editing, so we can see and learn. Thanks again Nick!!!
Excuse me.......4 years!!!
@@rmoreno6014 wow your comment made me smile! Thank you for saying that. I’m so glad to hear it helped you and has helped a bunch of other people too 😁
Does the power up silencer attatchment come with a flash hider? Is the purpose of removing the original orange flash end the gun comes with, is to put a new flash hider that the power up silencer comes with? I guess my question is, cant you just install the power up silencer out of the box, onto the gun? Or does it comes with a flash end you must install on the gun to make the power up work??
I’ve never owned the power up suppressor, but it is quite similar to this one I have here I believe. And I think you’re correct when you say it comes with a new flash hider which is compatible and necessary for the suppressor. I had someone ask me a similar question before and I tried attaching my suppressor in this video with the stock orange one and they did NOT pair together. For whatever reason the stock orange flash hider must have some slight differences to the aftermarket ones which don’t allow you to mount onto it
To answer your other questions, It’s quite common for airsoft suppressors to come with the necessary flash hider to mount to, as they more often than not don’t fit onto the orange one. If you want a specific suppressor (because you like it’s style or color) that is not mp7 specific, you may have to buy an adapter. The mp7’s usually come with a 12mm threading and many airsoft suppressors (not specific for the mp7) have 14mm threads. You simply have to get a 12 to 14 mm adapter and you’ll be good to go. Let me know if this clarifies things for you! And ask anything else you need
Is this the same as the Elite Force/Umarex?
Sorry for the late reply! My initial thought is that the KWA one here is slightly different because it’s a gas blow back airsoft gun, while the EF/umarex mp7 is an AEG version. I’m not entirely sure, but that’s my understanding at this moment
I see now that if you’re on a phone, some of the captions are a little covered up by the UI on the right side of the screen. Sorry about that! I will learn from it for the next video.
Thanks mate! I appreciate the effort you put into this, and learned a lot. Great work!
Thanks for the comment, glad it helped you!
What battery do you use. I have a NIMH 9.6 v 1600mah
I believe I actually use one just like you mentioned. A nunchuck style battery
Thanks 🙏
Can someone send a link to where I can buy the Allen key needed
store.kwausa.com/product/hex-keys-89mm-1-5mm-or-2-5mm/ Here you are 👍🏼 It was also in the video description 🤪
helped a ton!! THANKS!!
What a GOATed name
Buys nice airsoft replica Can’t afford hammer
I’m jk your video is great lol, I really appreciate the tutorial. But get a hammer 😂
Hahaha I think I was away at college during this video and so i was using whatever was lying around 😂
I bought mine with a paint job and the cqb bolt installed but I’m only shooting 263 any tips?
Hmmm that’s interesting. Part of that will be due to the cqb bolt, but still that seems a bit low. Maybe your mags are leaky? Maybe the o-rings are dry/worn and they’re letting out pressure..? That would be where I might look to begin
Thanks so much I needed this i have the same problem that your gun has it will jam and not shoot
I’m glad to hear I could be of service. I hope this fixed your issues!
Your videos are good but you have to louden up my man
Thanks for that advice! Just been using my iPhones mic so maybe I’ll look to get a cheap lapel mic so that audio is much better. Take care!
Just have some one hold it down and the with a screwdriver put it between the flash hider and turn counter clockwise he’s just going the extra mile
Whatever works and whatever you’re comfortable doing :) for me this was a new gun and i wanted to take care not to mess anything up by accident.
Hi, I have an all stock KWA MP7 and the bolt doesnt always lock after emptying the mag, any solutions to this?
I’m sorry for such a late reply! There’s a tab that's connected to the mag follower, and when the follower is all the way up (empty) it engages the bolt lock. Your tab may be broken or worn down potentially. Do you have this probably with just this mag or all mags?
thank you for this video the trigger was an annoying ass bitch to put in correctly
That’s definitely the hardest part man. If you can do that part you can do anything 😤😂
Love u bro, this helped a lot!
Glad to hear! 😄
Helped me figure out how to use my mock suppressor since it doesn't come with manuals haha, thanks!
Hahaha it’s a bit tricky for sure. If it’s similar to the one I have in this video, I show you how to put it on towards the end. If it’s a different one, there may be another method you have to use. What kind of mock suppressor do you have?
@@nickthequick5740 Oh no I meant you showed me how-- I got an angel custom one and the mechanism is the exact same as the one you showed in the video. Had no idea you needed to push it to the side to slip it on until I saw you do it lol
MoonlightBridge ohhh 🤣 yeah I definitely misread your comment. Thank you for clarifying anyway. I’m glad I was able to help you out :D
@@nickthequick5740 heya help I’m having a hard time screwing the screw back in (the one with the spring) it keeps flying out idk if I’m doing it wrong or not
do you know what type of rail it has
Just a standard picatinny rail I believe. Very common in a lot of guns so most attachments will fit it
Can you give me a link to this gun please I’m thinking about getting this as my first gun.
I’ve been trying to look for a link to post here but everywhere I’m looking is sold out! :( I’m honestly surprised
What kinda holo sight is it?
It was honestly a generic holo I found on eBay for no joke $25, but it’s been great surprisingly. Sometimes you get lucky and the cheap stuff is actually decent
So is the Cqb bolt the only way to lower FPS because I hear 2 things 1 is that it fires over 400 FPS out of the box the other is that there is a way to lower FPS without getting the Cqb bolt. Granted I’ve been looking at the navy gen 2 mp7 which might be a little different but you seem to be the only person who knows what they are doing when it comes to the mp7
Never mind I’m an idiot that ones VFC but now I don’t know which one I like the VFC navy but the KWA is co2 but I heard that it’s not 1:1 scale and am not sure about the folding grip are either of these problems
Ryan Wellman I have the KWA one and from my experience/knowledge it is indeed a little smaller than 1:1 (I used to remember the exact reason why, but now Im forgetting). I believe the VFC navy has remedied that and is indeed 1:1. Also, yes from what I remember when I first got my mp7 it was shooting kinda hot (close to or even above 400fps - I didn’t have a chronograph so never was 100% but when you shot it and compared it to a field AEG it was obvious). As of this moment, I’m not exactly familiar with an easier or different method to reduce its FPS other than the CQB bolt or using way heavier BB’s (which is a good idea in GBBs anyway).
As for picking between the two, that’s difficult! Both use green gas, (I’m not sure if you meant to say the KWA was CO2 powered) are good smg GBBs, and look awesome. I’m not sure you can go wrong with either. I wish I had the new Navy mp7 to compare but from what I can tell it’s very nice but definitely a bit more expensive. I do like that it has a rail on the bottom, but I’ve never had a problem with the KWA’s integrated foregrip. Also the KWA being not 1:1 has never bothered me because the way I have it now with a suppressor it’s as long as my cqb M4! So I’m not sure I’d want it to be even larger for close engagements. I hope this can help you out, but as I said, either will be great guns! It’s a win win situation
@@nickthequick5740 i see. As for co2 on evike.com it is sold with co2 mags and they make them as well
i been having a problem where my trigger is in properly but when i pull the trigger on semi, it doesn’t release the hammer all the way. anybody have this problem?
Karlo Lapuz hmm... that’s odd. My only thought is, and I believe I briefly touched on it in the video, is that while the trigger seems to be positioned correctly, it’s actually not. My best suggestion is to remove it once again and work on repositioning it. Maybe that will solve it...? Does this issue only happen on semi? Or on automatic as well?
@@nickthequick5740 nah on full auto the trigger works perfectly fine. the problem only happens on semi when the trigger is pulled and there is no magazine in the gun. it’s especially prevalent when the trigger is pulled slow.
Hope you reply. I’m new to airsoft and I’m getting this as my first gun. Do I have to buy a different barrel for a suppressor like that or could I use the barrel it comes with?
Hello, no you do not need to buy a new/different barrel in order to add a mock suppressor :D you simply need to purchase a suppressor that has 14mm positive (+) threads (you may see it labeled as Clockwise (CW) threads as well from websites). That is what kind of threads are on this particular airsoft gun. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
@@nickthequick5740 thank you so much for replying. :D that was helpful
3 and a half hours later, still cant get this fucking trigger in. Im about to just buy a new one.
This is absolutely the hardest/most obnoxious step 😅 I’m sorry it gave you so much trouble. I hope you were able to figure it out!
@@nickthequick5740 I never got it. Tried for like 18 hours over the course of 4 days. Just gonna send it to the oem to fix it. Idk why i cant get it.
I’m on the fence about buying one of these, I’m worried about the longevity of the gun and the crack of death. Any recommendations you’d give for maintenance?
Sorry for the late reply: I absolutely love this gun - the way it looks, the way it sounds, it’s performance out of the box, it’s realism features, but it nonetheless has its downsides: 1. Price of gun and magazines and pouches etc: this is certainly an important aspect, but as a gas gun you have to expect those kinds of prices. 2. It can shoot too hot for indoor places out of the box, but may not be your number one go to for outdoor play depending on the weather and range of fights (green gas is finicky in cold weather; this is not ideal for longer engagement distances, rather mostly for short to medium ranges). 3. Bc of number 2, it may be necessary to invest in a cqb bolt or other upgrades which you’ll then have to install which can get a bit tricky. And perhaps some other things that I’m not thinking of at the moment. So if all of that sounds worth it to you then go for it! The MP7 is my favorite smg out there, so to me it’s been a dream to own a replica despite all the other stuff, but there have been some headaches with it. But I can’t deny that anytime I bring it out to a game, whether i do good or not, it’s just a whole lot of fun. As for the crack of death, so far so good for me, but I try to take care of my mp7 as much as I can, so maybe that helps me
Getting it
Awesome man I hope you love it!
fun fact: the pins were put in the wrong way. if you are a right shooter (like most people) you put them through so you cant accidently push them when the weapon rubs against your chest. so they go in the other way, not like in 0:25. other than that: thanks
Thank you for all your tutorials on the MP7 KWA ,it's really helpful , i'm trying to resurrect my old 9years old mp7
You’re welcome! :D it’s a great airsoft gun so I pray you can be successful 😄 good luck and post any questions if you have any

what kind of threads does it have? 12mm negative?
nvm, after some sleuthing i found it was positive. Thx for the video though! it'll definitely come in handy
