Steps as described in video:
1) Strip the gun of attachments, including top rail.
2) Remove plastic receiver cover as shown.
3) Soak stock flash hider in near-boiling water for 10 minutes.
4) Using a wrench or other tool remove the stock flash hider by twisting counter-clockwise.
5) Wipe excess glue off threaded part of barrel.
6) Install new flash hider and tighten down with flat-head screwdriver as shown.
7) Re-assemble gun in the reverse order that you disassembled it.
I know this videos old but broke my top tab on my front receiver, didn’t even push that hard and my flash hider wasn’t glued but was a pain to take of but hey I got it off. Thanks man good tutorial. 👍
Guys, the hot water may work for some but it did not work for me. you still need too much torque to get it lose and I didnt want to damage the barrel assembly. I did something different. I did it on two identical KWA MP7 so I know it works very well. I put the orange flash hinder into direct flame (gas stove burner) for about 20-30 seconds while rotating. This expands the tip and heats up the epoxy so it works really well. Do not heat up too long or the barrel assembly will expand inside it too. and do not let the flame get onto the barrel assembly. just the flash hider. On one of the guns I had to do it twice as the flash hinder got cool before I completely undone it. try it. it works. Obviously do not melt your gun body. I removed my entire barrel assembly from the body before doing it.
hair dryer works as well. I tried it on several guns.
Thank you for the vid. I removed it very easy because it wasnt glued . But i had to screw off the rail and take off the front.
Hmmm, so you can't install the suppressor directly to the stock flash hider? You have to use the new flash hider that came with the suppressor?
Great instructions and editing!
What about the inner barrel getting wet
super helpful thanks
ill let you know how it goes
Glad I could help.
Get it done?
I made a little progress getting the flash hider to turn slightly with a loud creak.
But, I ended up breaking a few of the ribs off the flash hider off in the process.
Could not get it to twist off after boiling water.
Got any tips?
Try submerging it in boiling water for longer than you did last time. Let it soak for at least 5 minutes before you try to unscrew it. Another way of untwisting it is to wrap the flash hider in a rag and then grip it tightly with vice-grips or something and unscrew it that way. Hope this helps. Let me know.
Thanks! This did the trick, was just nervous about possibly damaging the barrel, everything turned out well.
Joetehpsycho Glad to hear!
that top tab is so cheap. i slowly took it off and it broke. hopefully the suppressor will hold it in while shooting. took it outside to shoot without the suppressor on, after a couple rounds the cover just came off and on the ground
What do you have to mask off on this particular mp7? Other then the barrel and bolt.
Wut do u think is wrong ok I did this three times and it did not come off can u please give me some help thanks
thanks!
Hi. do you know if the thread on the end of the barrel is 12mx1.0, please?
do a vid on how u painted it
Do u just leave the inner barrel in and put it in the water with the inner barrel submeregered
You can but I wouldn't. I'd take out the inner barrel first unless you intend to replace that anyways.
My flas hider isn't budging I left it in the water for 10+ and it just scraped the flash hider
+Daedalus needs to be boiling or extremely hot. Then a wrench to twist it off. LOUD SQUEKING is normal I thought I was twisting the barrel and ruining it but, never will harm it.
Pushed down on the nub with my finger and it snapped off....fuck...
Would one of these work on a Tokyo marui mp7?
Wer kann i get a flaschhieder wer i can put my supreser on it dosent fitmine
your suppressor rest on on your front cover? is there a gap there?
Awsome video. Is there a way that you can give me a link so i can buy the suppresor? Thanks
Thanks! Im in Canada, so I ordered from a Canadian retailer; Im not sure if they ship to the USA which Im assuming you're in. Regardless, this is where I got mine: airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1974
is it fully automatic or not????i mean can you buy a fully auyomatic one?
Airsoft mp7? Yes they've got a selector for semi and full auto. It's amazing on full auto I might add lol
Damnit I just broke the top tab on the front reciever cover. I didnt even push hard
Same.
if im getting the treaded adapter for the mp7 do I get the positive (+) or the negative (-)?
The KWA KSC MP7 has a 12mm CW treading. So get the angel custom 12mm+ to 14mm-
I need help will the power up suppessor with the inter barrel break the hop up?
James Amescua there is a chance since its basically forcing the spring back but its
I'm sorry that you have a bit of a lisp. I have a bit of a lisp to and personally I absolutely hate it. :/
Do u leave gas running while flashhider is in the water or do u turn off the gas then let it soak
+Matthew Lerner water just needs to be hot and yes always in the water
mine wont thread on at all and the threads look fine
but the original one screws on just fine
When I put my flash hider on it worked fine, but my suppressor just spins around and shit lol
I know I'm late, but try tightening the grub screw on the opposite end of that button looking thing with the hex screw on it. That's how mine seems to work at least.
