Heavy D . You should get pre treated wood for your work
LMAO the duck at 6:27 caught me off guard lol.
@@antiqueguardian5989me too !!
🤣🤣🤣 I love Hans creeping in the duck suit. 🤣🤣🤣
Whoever is doing the editing needs a raise, the sound effects, the music, the b-roll scenes are all fantastic. Keep it up editor.
We're colabing some sound effects, mostly sounds from the restroom breaks.
Are you kidding me? Quit the silly sound effects. We're not toddlers.
@@scottdunlop7442 take out all the cut scenes, sounds and extra footage and you got yourself a boring ass video that 75% of ppl will click off of in the first 2min. Gotta have that comedy relief and the editor is great at it. There is also a time and place for it. A serious or sensitive video like the recovery of the side by side of course isn't going to be full off goofy stuff and once again the editing team does a great job at getting the right shot and sound to convey that emotion.
Lol right? the sound effects were one of my favorite parts
Ya'll should make this into a series. Content like this seems to be popular as of late, and the comments support that.
Imagine all the childish sounds the editor can add with every hammer swing! All we're missing is the Nickelodeon slime dump. All these childish references side. They are sucking out of a bottle for the sponsor
Hans and his darned duck suit lurking around. As for the cabin, I am interested in seeing the repairs and possible upgrades as you go along.
Please show more on Restoring the cabin!!! You and your crew are amazing at all you can do!!!
From Ames, Iowa 🇺🇲
Yes, please show more of the cabin restoration.
I would love to see the cabin get renovated and any stress load supports put in. Would hate to see something cave in on someone because you thought everything was good. Very well could be busted lumber throughout the roof.
He has only been to the cabin 2 other times in a year. Once to remove snow from the roof to prevent it from calapsing and the other time before this to look at it and wonder why he owns a cabin he doesn't use.
He would have to spend more than an afternoon there to do a renovation series. It would be one 20 minute video at best.
The strength of that cabin is impressive. Would definitely love to see the renovations in progress
A frame construction
@@_JamesBrownand if you choose to build with exposed wood in an area like that, rather than good quality composite material, plan on being back every second year to fix shit…
@JustGrillingandChilling. the patio wood was still solid.. no reason to destroy it just needed to pressure wash the top surface
Life isn't really about the destination, It's about the journey. I think it would be cool to watch you fix that place up. ❤
I can't imagine living in area that snows that much and your home being covered, like the people you helped. You guys work great as a team!
If you’re talking about when they went to CA, it DOESNT snow that much in Big Bear and Wrightwood and Arrowhead. We’ve had 2 firsts this year; first ever blizzard warning, and first ever tropical storm warning. 2 very opposite weather phenomena in the same year. And no; it’s not climate change, it’s El Niño doing its thing.
I hear ya... just in general, no matter where you live!
If you're changing doors, take the opportunity to beef up your door headers too. It'll help the cabin survive heavier than normal snow loads. Door cutouts can be a weak point.
I think it was stress tested. Waste of time and money to redo headers
Why don't you beef up the frame work of your home
by using steel posts & beams
like you would in a car (cage)
so if another storm hits it
should be ok , as for the fire
wood use it at home or work
to keep warm 🙄😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
@@charlesallanstewart-kl2op The header spans between door framing and is easy to change when the jambs are removed. Most older buildings use 2x4s. Our older building had 2x4 headers turned the wrong way. We upgraded every door with 2x6 headers. With increased snow loads a 2x6 or 2x8 header is a fairly inexpensive and relatively easy upgrade that can make the door openings much more rigid and help prevent the doors from buckling. If the doors buckled this winter, its possible they'll fail next winter.
I’d like to see cabin renovations for sure, love cabin life! That amount of snow was insane, the cabin done really well considering! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Would LOVE to see the renovation of the Cabin!! Love what you do for people as well!❤️ You Gentlemen Have Huge Hearts! Bottom line “You Actually Care about people and the Environment “!!! Not about politics power and Money!! LOVE ❤️
Love your cabin, would be awesome to see the renovation.
We all from Crestline CA miss all you guys and will never forget your rescue, we love you guys!!!
More saving the cabin videos, please. The area surrounding it is gorgeous.
I like it a lot!
At least one person has hearing protection. I want more of these cabin fixin' videos.

Growing up in Davis County and spending nearly every weekend in those hills as a kid and now with my own kids, it has always been a dream of mine to own one of those. I hope you can save it and make it what you want!!!
Sparks calling the chainsaw chain a blade 300 times is top tier content.
I know, right? The 1st time he referred to it as a chain, I corrected him by talking to my computer telling him that it is a chain, not a blade. Then he kept saying it and I started laughing and told him that if it works for him, it works for me 😑😁😂🤣
Chain, blade…Tomato, Potato.

Blade saw
Absolutely want to see the cabin renovations...and more Dave running from bees
Wow it was great to see the cabin without it’s cost of white. So glad there wasn’t any other major damage. Yes good chain chain saws make or break you as my Dad use to say! Yes do your renovation video’s if you have time,
YES PLEASE SHOW EVERY LITTLE DETAIL OF THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE CABIN. ITS VERY ENTERTAINING BELIEVE IT OR NOT❤❤❤ LOVE YOU GUYS YALL ARE AWESOME.
I think we all want cabin restoration videos since we were deprived of the cabin winter series because of the weather!
You just keep these great videos coming. I don't care what you cover. That sun setting over that mountain was breath taking.
love the way they handled the sponsership this time :) doing the "commercial" in the beginning and during the video, showing that they ACTUALLY use the product :)
I'm a Husqvarna guy when it comes to chain saws but what you used yours for is just fine because I just used my saw on Friday to cut my back deck apart. I didn't cut screws or nails but it's a lot faster. Good job guys. Love every video you produce
Diesel Dave using a blowtorch at a gas station is quality safety procedures.
😂
Like these folks smoking a cigarette at the gas station. Then they get mad because you ask them to put it out...
OSHA has left the room
@@charlesjohnsjr.5809 well with the democrats in dc, insanity is the new norm...
Yes, build videos, and let the viewers chime in on possible cabin upgrades! Like a wood fire jacuzzi tied to radiant floor heating.
A killer swing!!! Maybe Kyle could take care of that 😂
These guys are a testament to big boys playing with toys.
Before anyone takes that the wrong way, I'm absolutely not saying that they don't work hard. But watching them is the grown up version of little boys in a giant sandbox. I love it!
Get some good insulation around those copper pipes and those pvc pipes for winter time. I think your going to get a repeat winter this year according to the farmers almanac. It's best to be prepared and ready!
This cabin has been on my mind since the winter video. Glad to see it still standing 😀👍❤️❤️
Yes to showing renovations. That was a fun video, Hats off to the editors, story tellers and camera folks.
Absolutely want to see the renovation, with everything you do it would be refreshing to see new content. Sorry it all happened to your get away cabin but with every negative there’s a positive.
Real content diversity, one of the best you tube channels out there. Keep them coming.
I have been waiting for an update on the cabin for a while, its great to see it stood up so well to the all that weight of the snow pushing on it in all directions, cant wait to see how you bring it back to its full glory
I’d definitely like to see some videos of your renovations. The more content the better. You guys are one of the best to watch on YT.
i would suggest building a cinderblock chimney with your chimney pipe inside from the foundation up. this will strengthen the center of the cabin and if you reinforce it with rebar it should be able to withstand the weather.
The editing is peak! Seeing a few dudes disassamble a deck could hardly be more entertaining :D Great job by the whole team!
Please do a cabin reno series! And for what it’s worth I love it’s comfortable simplicity! Also great editing and music choices
I definitely want to see the restoration!! Maybe even a collaboration with the ppl that built the tree house too!!
Before you close it up for winter this year put a rescue pole at various windows and doors. Then you will know exactly where to dig and how deep it really is. Love the channel. Keep up the great work. Thanks for turning me on Jax Allen!! Awesome family
I would love to see the renovations of the cabin to see the plans you guys have that is a nice cabin
So glad to see your cabin again. I was a bit worried that it might not have survived. Please let us see the work to repair and winterize the structure. Thanks much!
Do a series on the cabin repairs please! Great content and I'm very jealous! I'd love to come and help!
One thing to remember is that a trailer is easier to back empty than full. And always have a plan to get out before you enter. It will save you repairs in the long run. Good luck on the repairs. Make sure to double Joyce the duck again. If you build it with one to snow from a light winter will take it out.
Heck ya Dave! Id love to see a cabin reno series! We have a similar situation here in central Idaho. Keep it up man!
The amount of snow we had this year was EPIC. Sure hope there's not too much structural damage to the cabin - that would be really sad.
That cloud seeding works!!

I remember your many adventures up there, but last winter was horrific watching you even trying to trek up there. And then finally seeing the snow damage was double horrific. Seeing it in summer, I pray you can fix it all up sweet before winter.❤
Thanks for the great video. I love seeing more of your personal activities like trips to the cabin, and the helicopter rescue of your friends… learning more about you, and what your life is like day-to-day makes fantastic video material… please keep them coming…
I have been thinking about your cabin so it’s great you have made a video on it. Proof nature is so powerfull. I’d love to see you repair it in future videos Dave & team. Best wishes from the 🇬🇧
That cabin was built well considering the weight it was under.
Would definitely love to see the renovation of your cabin! It is absolutely gorgeous there!
From NorCal, would love the same amount of rain/snow (SNOWPACK!) as last year. First, love the rain. Second, West needs it badly.
So interesting fixing the cabin watching you get this cabin ready for the next season. Snow load last season was amazing and scary. Get it safe for your family to enjoy.
I'd love to see how you renovate and power your cabin. I just took a break from building my off grid cabin home to watch this! Perfect.
My boyfriend was sitting next to me watching your content. All the sudden, here I am binging your content. This is usually not something I would typically watch but now I can't STOP watching. I think that says alot about you, and the content you're putting out!
Love seeing your properties and watching the progression on them. Definitely want to see the rebuild of the cabin.
Love to see the renovation project! Those are always awesome to watch and I'd love to see how you design a real rustic mountain cabin
Unbelievable amount of snow great to see the cabin survived and would love to see the renovation keep up the great content
Thanks for the follow up video! Since watching your crew fight to get back in there with all the snow, I have wondered several times how your cabin held up.
Rebuild it man. New deck, windows and some poles that you put up in the winter to support the roof. Kinda like the poles you put under the boat canvas. 🙂
I'm hyped for any and all cabin videos in the future.
My family owned a cabin in the lake of the Ozarks. Best memories of my life. Keep it rustic HeavyD.
Definitely more cabin content! It's nice to see you put some love into it cuz you guys really do you use it as a beater cabin!
Heavy, of course we would like to see the renovation! Bring it on! I hope you sealed the chimney.
Yes looking forward to seeing the cabin renovated on video. 😊 Would love to see the videos use driving down the mountain, Sunset view was perfect, speechless-16:20 ish
It’s wild to see how far Heavy D has gone in life, so many different things and skill sets, never a dull moment with him and the crew🔥💯🇺🇸
Ya the high intensity doesn't seem fake.
The snow ❄️ around the cabin in the winter was absolutely incredible. I can’t believe it didn’t collapse the cabin
Love everything you guys do!! Would be awesome to see any restorations that you do!! Thanks for the great content boys!!
I love how you reciprocate the bar back and forth like a hand saw!
Absolutely, I'd like to see what work you do on restoring the cabin! It's a beautiful place, so why NOT let us see it! ❤
Definitely down to see more cabin renovations! Keep em coming!
Love the comment about "Work Party" ..... I quit going to my friends rustic ski cabin as ratio of the days skiing/days working on the cabin repairs was about 10:1
It’s always fun doing renovations. Love that truck

I'd love to see any renovations that you do to the cabin! Eddie
For sure, love to see some of the remodeling! Says a lot about who you are in your soul to desire a place like this, yeah buddy!
I have used that same rescue chainsaw as a firefighter. They work great going through anything in it's way. Don't know who designed them but kuto's too them. They are a beast to use opening up any type of material. Thanks for the great video, keep up the great work, love the channel. Always something new to see.

I would love to see what you do with the cabin. I watched the video of all the snow digging and getting inside. It really was INSANE!
Definitely want to see more of the cabin rebuild 👍🏾
Great work guys 💪🏾
Would love to watch a cabin renovation series! Keep that stuff coming.
Yes I would love to see the renovation I have your cabin
A lot of that deck material could have been saved the pressure treated was fine.
Yea I was thinking the same thing. It was such a waste.
Was looking for a comment on that. Didn't seem to be any rot in what they were chopping through there just some of the underlying deck joists beneath. Maybe his plans for the replacement are different enough and the economics of trying to reuse any of this didn't stack up. Did seem a lot of decent timber to chop up though - prices have pretty much doubled on wood here in the UK vs pre covid and they're not going to go back down..
You and your guys rock! I know its very hard work, but you guys make it look easy. Stay safe and stay hydrated during the insane heat. God's blessing on you all from Proctor Minnesota!
Heck yes let’s see some more! Dude I can’t believe that cabin is even still standing after that burial it endured! I live in the Rocky Mountains so I get it that it snows a lot,but seeing your cabin then and now really gives perspective. That’s just crazy!
Hardcore chainsaw enthusiast here, what Dave did to that innocent chainsaw was absolutely unacceptable. The board of chainsaw are very disappointed.
Well, you saw it. Accept it there paw paw. 😎
It's not a diesel that's why
He'll have a different view on that as well, once he sees how much a new chain costs.
I’m still trying to locate the “Blade” on my saw? All I can find is a bar, chain and dogs. Will someone help me….
