- Funeral of Bobby Farrell (Boney M) in Amsterdam The Netherlands.
Farrell died at the age of 61. He was found dead in a hotel room in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on the morning of December 30, 2010.
The night before he had performed with his band. Farrell complained of breathing problems and chest pain after the performance. According to Russian authorities, Farrell died of heart failure.
He was buried on January 8, 2011 at Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I definitely know that Boney M will live till 100 of years from now, their music styles is very rare and their voices is so amazing. And i still believe that our future generations will still love their beautiful tune. And they will enjoy like what we enjoyed them in this era...... Boney M will live forever..........

I’ve been enjoying videos of Bobby jumping around, super-hyper and having fun in the 70‘s so it’s bitter-sweet to see this but I’m really glad he was able to go out on his final ride with all these people forever remembering the man and the legend he was! RIP Bobby!

Only 2 years ago I was dancing to a number of Boney M songs celebrating with family and friends my fiftieth birthday! The list of nostalgic songs of my childhood could not be complete without going back down memory lane. Love this group and Bobby’s soooooo cool costumes and dances in the Mid 70s! They entertained the world with their unique euroscentic disco music!!! Fondest of memories seeing and hearing their music still. Oh well, farewell Bobby. RIP
