- Funeral of Bobby Farrell (Boney M) in Amsterdam The Netherlands.
Farrell died at the age of 61. He was found dead in a hotel room in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on the morning of December 30, 2010.
The night before he had performed with his band. Farrell complained of breathing problems and chest pain after the performance. According to Russian authorities, Farrell died of heart failure.
He was buried on January 8, 2011 at Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Heard a few songs of Boney M for the first time and theb I just saw a few videos of Bobby. Somehow I jumped onto this video all of a sudden! For a few moments I was filled with amazement for how talented the guy was and then, seeing his funeral became too much for just one day.

Bobby Farrell was a phenomenon (in the good sense) he invented the break dance with all those moves, I'm so sorry that we lost him, he was a very good guy, he loved everybody for him didn't matter who you were, what you did, he loved you anyway, he loved people, he worked with people all his live. A good entertainer, Bobby was unique, will never be born again, maybe after 100 years. Rest in peace, good soul, hope you're still dancing into the heaven!
