I just realized how incredibly wholesome this song is in some aspects. Like, the first guy wants to be a concert pianist, and he's got a hook for a hand. So he has a physical disability that would make it a lot harder for him to achieve his goal, but does he care? NOPE, he still dreams of being a pianist, and what's more, he actually SUCCEEDS at the end of the movie. It's like he doesn't even see it as an obstacle, it doesn't bother him at all. Also, tons of them have hobbies that are traditionally seen as feminine (knitting, baking, collecting unicorns, etc.) and no one seems to think it makes them less "manly". These thugs said "screw you" to ableism, gender roles and prejudice in favor of following their dreams. And i think that's really poggers of them.

That's usually the response I get. My dream is to become an animator, to start my own series of comics, and get my idea for a cartoon on the air. The other person's dream is usually just to go to college. (No one ever hears what she wants to do AFTER college, but I guess going to getting another four years of education will help her sort all that out, huh?) (At least I have an end goal.)
