As a cowboys fan I must agree each year I think he will do better and finish strong! Don’t get me wrong he is one of the best pass rusher but with the amount of love they give him he needs more stats or defensive player of the year
If im looking for pro bowl or an all pro and all stats are equal and 1 is a cowboy and the other is any of the other 31 teams. Guarantee the cowboy is getting picked they have been overrated for years
Ceedee Lamb is worth a big extension, he balled out when McCarthy started letting Dak pass more. Parsons seems like he stops competing when he isn’t getting sacks.
More importantly, CeeDee became a more disciplined route runner last year. Some QBs know how to improvise and gunsling when routes break down. Most QBs like timed, precise routes. Dak is one of those QB's who likes precise route-running and it showed when he had Amari. Those were his best statistical years.

Honestly, I'd trade Micah for a king's ransom. It'll be viewed like the old Herschel Walker trade that was seen as INSANE in 1989. Why did Dallas get rid of their prized RB in his prime?! He needs to take care of him again, his contract is about up. Kirk Cousins got taken care of, $180M, $110M guaranteed. That puts him as the 2nd highest-paid QB in the past 10 years, behind only A.Rod. With 1 Playoff win to show for. And Dak, statistically, is a better QB than Kirk even though both MIN and Dallas have had a similar number of Pro Bowl players each season.

I don't think it's an underrated off season. I think Jones finally realized it's been 2 decades of salary issues. Remember when Zeke was in his prime? The Cowboys had by far the best Oline in the league. Now Zeke is older, slower, and their line isn't anything close to where it was back then. Although I do agree that the Cowboys did a good job boosting their Oline this off-season, it just isn't going to be at the same level as it once was, I don't think.

Micah reminds me of Bosa. They way to beat them is to go right at them. And use their aggression against them. The Chiefs did it in the Super Bowl. Let Bosa stay 1v1 and go right behind him after he over commits. He’s an absolute beast don’t get me wrong, but sometimes the fact that they are so elite at rushing the QB creates an advantage for a good QB and play caller.

I agree with Brou except that losing Pollard wasn't a loss. He got $10M for barely 4 YPC. Add to that he was terrible in short yardage. People don't understand that it's different when someone is the change of pace back than the lead back. Pollard had done nothing either in college or the pros to show he could be a lead back, and he wasn't.
But that's beside the point. The point is that the Cowboys can't handle contract negotiations. Their 2 biggest stars and they can't sign either of them. CeeDee should have been signed after year 3. Micah now. If you aren't going to sign them, then trade them. Dak IMO shouldn't be signed. If you can't get him to accept a trade, which why would he, then make him a post 6/1 cut and save $30M. So what if you lose the 3rd round comp pick two years from now. See what Lance has, and if he's not the guy you should have a better draft pick than what you'd get from "Regular Season Hero" Dak. Or see who you can trade for or get in free agency next year.

JJ is top 1, at worst top 2. Micah is top 5, at best top 3. He wants to be paid more than Bosa; he doesn't perform like Bosa does in the biggest games. If the Cowboys wanted to keep their golden trio together, they'd be looking at $60M for Dak, $30+M for Ceedee, and north of $35M for Micah. That's more than $125 million per year locked up in 3 players, all of which are historically bad playoff performers. They're not keeping all of them, and they might even chose to only keep 1.
